Didn't play but I watched The Forest gamepay on Twitch. Most of it is survival grinding, to me, as the protag roamed everywhere looking for stuff, making stuff, etc. The best of the game / story is near the end where you get the answers to the mystery. There is no decision making, you just watch the story unfold.

The natives are way more interesting than the generic zombies.

I play a lot of Destiny so I'm always on that at some point but I've also been doing a run on ME3 and working my way through the Bioshock collection at the moment. When I've done my ME3 run I'm going to start a DA:O run. Ahhhhhh, I love Xbox backwards compatibility ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/KGsHESiZGZU0pPuHuhQr.png)

Let's see...
I still need to finish my ME3 playthrough. Right now I'm post-Thessia, and I'll probably finish that up pretty soon.
I also need to finish up the final episode of Batman: The Telltale Series. Really enjoyed that, though there was a decision I made in the last episode that I don't like that I want to try to go through again to fix.
I also recently got Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Series because it was on sale at a Gamestop for 10 bucks. Played through the first episode and absolutely LOVED IT. I haven't played a lot of the Borderlands series, but it told me enough to understand and I enjoyed all the characters.
Also, I recently started really getting into Dragon Age Origins on my laptop. I got the Ultimate Edition for cheap on GOG during the winter sale and I started modding the game too. It's pretty cool, though I still find myself hating the KB+M controls. I just feel so much more comfortable with a controller in my hand.

I just started a Jedi Guardian in SW:ToR. Haven't touched that game since the beta testing. Not sure if I'll play it all the way through but it's a nice distraction for the time being while there is nothing else I feel like playing.

I just installed battlefront 2 on my laptop. I forgot how much fun that game was.
Doing the campaign ATM. The fighter combat is so annoying compared to the ground combat. Especially since it seems the ai has incredible aim and unlimited (power) respawns.

Finished Batman and I really enjoyed it, both in terms of gameplay and as a fan of the character and the world.
I was also planning on doing the second episode of Tales of the Borderlands and...well, I pretty much spent the whole day binging the entire season. Does it count as binging if you're playing? Whatever it was, I finished it and it was SO FUCKING GOOD. Seriously, I need the second season, like, right now. They have to be making another season, right? RIGHT?

Mostly ESO currently, with spatterings of SWTOR. I got back into WoW for Legion but lost interest again, I guess when you've played something for 12 years that can happen... I imagine I'll be sticking with the ESO and SWTOR combo until Andromeda drops.

I'm doing very end-game grinding for Final Fantasy X. Mainly getting ready for the optional super bosses. I might fire up my game-in-progress of FFX-2 in a few days. I'm near the end of Chapter 3 of a New Game Plus and did all of the monster capturing up to that point. Then probably back to my mage in DA:I.

Was bored the other day, and my computer was currently unavailable so I wound up getting Subnatica for my Xbox. Cool premise, but I can't seem to locate any of the necessary materials to go out beyond the area around my little life pod, and the various bugs, glitches and freeze ups aren't helping.

Was playing Skyrim Special Edition but uh... got bored. So I spent a good few hours on a Fallout New Vegas playthrough and will hopefully stick to that.
Up to episode 4 of TT's Batman but I've been putting it off. It's so good I don't want it to end. Playing a little Gundam VS on my PSV as well.

Played a bit of rimworld, but not alot. Played the tutorial, got my entire colony killed by opening a few old cryogenic sarcophigi. One of which was filled to the brim with scorpions. Took the scorpions out with me, but none of my guys, or the others in the sarcophogi survived. So..that was interesting.
Then my break ended.

VA-11 HA-11a Cyberpunk Bartender Action -- A really well written visual novel based in a Gibson/K. Dick esque dystopian cyberpunk universe with some excellent music that feels partially like something out of Shin Megami Tensei or Akira.
I'm enjoying it a lot, had I played it earlier I might have put it on my Top 10 from last year. Shame.

lol mobile game Spaceship BattlesYou don't have to start giving up REAL MUNNY until you start unlocking the cooler ships and get forced to wait over an hour to play free of charge. It's easy to learn and doesn't require any skill in the battles (since the CPU controls them).

I'd originally deleted The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind due to being finnicky over the combat, and the lack of fast travel. I ended up finding out about silt strider travelling/mage teleportation(How'd I miss this?), and had a change of heart . The Overhaul Mod really lives up to its name; It's on par with(or beyond) Oblivion in visual fidelity, and the list of customizing options is very impressive. As for the game itself, the setting still feels more inspired than the two that followed: Oblivion is Generic Medieval fantasy, Skyrim is Viking-ish, yet Morrowind is weird a mix of Mesopotamian & Tribal architecture, covered with alien creatures that are harder to tack down as one particular style or another. I love how they use Arcanum's Quest-Journal-Is-An-Actual-Journal philosophy instead of the game-y alternative, and incorporate this into the conversation system. Finding locations from the NPCs and the quest log are described in the way you might get told about a local gas station, instead of tossing a giant arrow on top of it. One high point of WRPGs is the joy of getting lost in that world to make your own adventure, not just what was specified by an author; Lo and behold, half of the fun was just that. Still slightly butthurt about the combat. It gets *much* easier after some lofty exprience, but the Percentage to hit starts low enough that dissonance between your actions and the end result are too hard to get past - it's especially annoying with archery since ammunition is limited. That's lightened a bit by many of the quests(main or otherwise) not demanding you slash your way to victory in the first place. One favorite involved the Third Trial Riddle Quest that made use of investigation, exploration, and resourceful use of the Wait/Sleep system. Even the Vivec Interrogations feel like more thought was put in than the standard MMO Kill/Fetch quest. Writing feels like the best of TES' library(though can't really speak for Arena/Daggerfall). It doesn't feel hokey or silly as Skyrim can sometimes be, and the sense of accomplishment is evident in the questline. It's still much in the vein of monomyth, but the game's trials don't just hand you a dragon's head on a dinner plate. Since wine typically comes with dinner: ![](https://68.media.tumblr.com/4fb07d1b301a9e07380fce57a794f56e/tumblr_oa4uevmnWV1tib7mso1_500.gif) The Overhaul Mod's framerate doesn't seem to agree with my 1060 video card, usually bouncing between 30-40 when it's typically doing 60+ on PS3 games with ultra settings. The Volcanic sections in this game feel especially like too much empty space, which I suppose make for good Podcast fuel. Dungeons still border on Cookie-Cutter compared to Skyrim livening things up. Many monsters like the Cliff Divers are essentially unavoidable without sprint or a steed. Make this game in the Skyrim engine, and Todd Howard can have my babies. I played Mushihimesama. It's Bullet Hell with a killer soundtrack attached. I do love the vivid bullet geometry they use, and the mix of 3D polygons with more artsy backgrounds work surprisingly well. Even with all the crap flying around, playing it on normal is quite easy due to the infinite continues mid-game...which stems into my biggest problem with Mushi. Since it's originally an arcade port without the need for coins to fuel your journey, you can "continue" without a hitch, throwing the game's challenge out the window. I would've liked to have seen a system similar to older Schmups where Infinite Continues still exist, but losing all your lives would bring you to the back of the stage instead of just an obtrusive pause button. I got a catchy OST and a couple nifty runs of reflex testing out of it, so the journey still had plenty of merit. Plus the Final Boss on Ultra has to be seen to be believed.

Just finished playing Dreamfall:Chapters ![<3](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/bYmUqWGYNIhNE0GJanhP.png) and Grim Fandango (so awesome). Right now I'm replaying DA:Inquisition and working through SWTOR. I plan on playing the Syberia series soon and will probably pick Alien: Isolation back up to finish. I almost got past the point I kept getting killed at in the latter game. I spent three hours hiding and taking my time from that damn alien, got the keycard I needed and was just about to run to the save point; I threw a sound device in the opposite direction and made the mistake of immediately hightailing it in the opposite direction and ran right into the bleedin' thing ![:pinched:](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/fbfIWVCbwYm0yCNjKANm.png) . I quit for a while afterwards. I love it but they made it just a wee bit too hard.

Syberia has these mysterious evocative scenarios. But then you talk to a character and their dialogue is stupid, it breaks the magic. I don't find the automaton who drives the train funny. And there's a student hanging at Barrockstadt that kind of sexually harasses the protagonist, I thought it was out of place. Most of the dialogue seems at odds with the setting. One day Skyrim Special Edition was magically added to my steam account (I own the legendary edition so maybe it's that). I did not like that everything seemed smoothed out and blurry, it looked worse somehow (I did notice some god rays too). I went back to the original.

Surprised no one's said anything about Resident Evil yet.
I have my game console over at a friend's house, so I can't play all during the week, and I actually ended up not being able to go for REVII's launch because of my friend being busy. Finally sat down with it this weekend, and it was definitely worth it. I still can't believe the game was announced at E3 last year and I've already played and beaten the full game. It was a hell of a ride.
I think there were a few little nagging issues I had with the overall story, but it was so much better than RE5 and 6 that I can't even be asked to care, at the moment. It feels so much like a classic RE in some respects, but the inspiration Capcom took from more contemporary horror games really shows, and they managed to do something that felt right at home, but not overly familiar. The Bakers, especially are incredibly fun antagonists. Jack alone is a barrel of fun, and it just goes to show how much more effective a game can be when you add a little levity to the overall grimness of the situation.
I wish Ethan, the protagonist, had a bit more going for him, but he was effective enough. I think the most amusing thing about him is the fact that his personality seems to amount to "mild annoyance" towards the massive heaps of fuckery going on around him, which is basically the antithesis of Leon in RE4, who was so carefree and goofy that it actually made his enemies really really angry.
All-in-all, it's fun as hell, and the first DLC pack was great too. I'm particularly fond of the "Bedroom" tape, as having to explore and escape the room while periodically being checked up on by your captor was exciting, and it was even more fun because of the fact that every thing you moved while you were up and about, you have to put back EXACTLY where you found it, or risk being caught.
The writing isn't great in REVII, but the writing in RE was never great. It's corny, laughable, intense, and sometimes actually a bit scary, and I'm really glad I was able to enjoy this series again. The game is just damn good fun.

Finally got to play Deus Ex MD...had to uninstall it. It's buggy and unoptimized like hell. I might not have the newest rig, but it had been enough to play Dishonored2 twice on medium in 1080. This? I had to downscale it, set it to low and yet those random crashes got me. Enormous loading times. I also did not like the new setting. Feels nothing like Prague or Czech Republic and it barely fits the cyberpank motives, feels like a poor copy of Neo-Paris (from 'Remember me'). Greatest disappointment of the season. I might give it another chance someday, once I get an upgrade, but now I'm sad.

Hearts of Iron: Taking the US to communism and shatter the imperialistic British Empire - that was the plan, but doesn't look good though: Germany blitzed the Soviets to surrender already in 1940. Currently trying to figure out if it's possible to keep the 6th research slot that required some democratic prereqs. Germany has so many factories, it's not funny anymore
Have declared war on Japan - to get my tech to advance. I'm seeing outstanding results from my carriers, but I botched the placement of my sub fleet. Where are the Japanese carriers, though? Did they sink already against the Brits? No battleships sighted either - I'm sinking their cruisers and destroyers left and right.

XCOM 2: Long War 2 + some extra item mods and one or two new class mods to top it off.
I started a campaign on Legend, and I actually survived about 4 months, but by the end I was fighting pods of about 12 ADVENT Captains and Vipers with Plasma Sniper Rifles, with an average health of about 10 each.
My new save on Veteran has been going better, I have been slowly building up the resistance all across Asia, but I still have yet to "find a lead on an ADVENT facility". I wish the in-game instructions where a little more specific on what to do. Am I supposed to get the skull jack built and immediately rush for that or what?
