Surprised no one's said anything about Resident Evil yet. I have my game console over at a friend's house, so I can't play all during the week, and I actually ended up not being able to go for REVII's launch because of my friend being busy. Finally sat down with it this weekend, and it was definitely worth it. I still can't believe the game was announced at E3 last year and I've already played and beaten the full game. It was a hell of a ride. I think there were a few little nagging issues I had with the overall story, but it was so much better than RE5 and 6 that I can't even be asked to care, at the moment. It feels so much like a classic RE in some respects, but the inspiration Capcom took from more contemporary horror games really shows, and they managed to do something that felt right at home, but not overly familiar. The Bakers, especially are incredibly fun antagonists. Jack alone is a barrel of fun, and it just goes to show how much more effective a game can be when you add a little levity to the overall grimness of the situation. I wish Ethan, the protagonist, had a bit more going for him, but he was effective enough. I think the most amusing thing about him is the fact that his personality seems to amount to "mild annoyance" towards the massive heaps of fuckery going on around him, which is basically the antithesis of Leon in RE4, who was so carefree and goofy that it actually made his enemies really really angry. All-in-all, it's fun as hell, and the first DLC pack was great too. I'm particularly fond of the "Bedroom" tape, as having to explore and escape the room while periodically being checked up on by your captor was exciting, and it was even more fun because of the fact that every thing you moved while you were up and about, you have to put back EXACTLY where you found it, or risk being caught. The writing isn't great in REVII, but the writing in RE was never great. It's corny, laughable, intense, and sometimes actually a bit scary, and I'm really glad I was able to enjoy this series again. The game is just damn good fun. Ironically RE6 has some of the best writing. Must be why so many fans hate it xD RE6 is such a good co-op experience that I want BioWare to adapt its style for NewIP

Currently: A mix of Tides of Numenera, ME: Catalyst vs Physics, on ME2 replay, and Halo Wars 2. Plus depending, Master Chief collection.
Trying to stay in a sci fi mood.

Gravity Rush -- A rather excellent title for the Vita, I think it just became one of my favorite games I ended up picking up the sequel for the PS4 to play later. I love the gameplay, love the world, love music, love the atmosphere.

Zelda. It's incredible. My only gripe so far is the music. The music is as good as it's ever been, but the iconic music and themes are kind of scarce.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
The game isn't anything to write home about if you're playing by yourself, but get into a match with one or two of your buddies, and it quickly becomes a great co-operative, open world sandbox game. Been playing with two of my mates and it's just fun to move in on an outpost and work together to silently take out the occupants, only to go loud when one of us inevitably gets spotted.

So busy, not much.
Lately (last couple of weeks): -Mobius Final Fantasy daily play -Fire Emblem Heroes daily play -Torment: Tides of Numenera just trying out before all updates happen -Mass Effect 3 trying to finish before at least diving into MEA -Mass Effect: Andromeda soon
Dragon Age games also priority. Some MP games like Overwatch considered.

Finished Horizon: Zero Dawn. My biggest regret is not playing this day one, the hype was indeed real. - One of the Best Photo Modes I've ever seen Game-wise. All those options gave me that tingly feeling that many may feel with character customization.
- Not exactly Innovative, but as with Titanfall 2, it's the execution and excellence that pushes it towards greatness. It has the reliance on resource collection from Far Cry Primal/No Man's Sky without making it damn near a requirement; It enhances the game experience without ruining the story flow.
- Has the quality Cinematics & World of a game from Uncharted or Tomb Raider, without the throwaway story or the everyman/everywoman
one-size-fits-all character. Alloy & Rust's characterizations aren't hard to relate to, but also don't feel like they've been designed on a silver platter for its audience - feels like a living, breathing duo. The story's actually quite intriguing, though it may not be that apparent at first. - I approve of their choices of steed. Never come between a man and his Cyberhorse.
- If it's complaints you're sailing around for, somehow crafting 30 hardpoint arrows in a half-second span seems a bit ridiculous. The balance between realism and fun is always a tough tightrope, and inventory management is one of those I'm less spastic about due to needless backtracking. That kinda bugs me with Bethesda's mentality though, it's assuming that your bottomless bag is weighing you down somehow; I'd rather have a realistic sense of gravity, or none at all.
- Lovely environments, whoever made Meridian deserved a few hundred blue ribbons. It's like Altissia, without the overly-convoluted level design.
- I can highly reccomend the game. Perhaps not "Genre-Defining", but it leans toward Genre-Refining. They've honed familiar elements into its own entity, like making the ultimate cocktail.
Photo Mode Goodies: I beat Nier: Automata, enjoyed the combat more this time around with the ranged addition. With virtually no need to reload or cooldown, melee became a last resort. With one exception near the end, the game has some of the best boss battles I've seen all year. Varied and creative, but death won't come as easily as Nioh's been infamous for. Story's a thoughtful take on Post-Apocalyptic, can't say I've seen it done in that particular way. Heck, you may not even see it. It's as weird as the first. I generally prefer written impressions to avoid spoilers or talk around them, but going to make an exception this time. If you're planning to play Automata: When a large group invites you to a factory, buy every damn potion you can, and every upgrade if needed. The game gives no indication where you reach its Point-Of-No-Return. I still have to finish Hollow Knight, was about 90% done with the main story before the barrage of Week-By-Week 50+ hour games continued storming the gaming industry. But yes, it's very good.

Just got an invite for beta for Lawbreakers. I don't know what, but something caught my eye about it during the video-game awards, so... I guess, i am going to try it. I probably won't be able to play it, lol. But I am gonna try...

I am playing Drakensang - The Dark Eye. I bought the whole Drakensang trilogy some years ago but for some reason I never had the time to play it. Now I must say that I regret that, because this game is probably one of the most underrated RPGs ever!

I got into the Gwent: The Witcher Card Game beta a couple of days ago and have been playing that. It is pretty fun and something that one would like if they enjoyed Gwent in the Witcher 3 with some changes to it.

It is pretty fun and something that one would like if they enjoyed Gwent in the Witcher 3 with some changes to it. Did they balance the decks and added some variety to tactics? At the beginning of the game I used to like it a lot, but it started to become boring as soon as I realized that in order to win every match it was enough to use a deck full of spies and decoys so that you could draw a lot of cards. I stuck with my Noverian deck through the whole game and never bothered with any other decks.

I stuck with my Noverian deck through the whole game and never bothered with any other decks. Yeah, they made changes to it so that it worked to be play against other people and nerfed and changed the spy cards, while making the Decoy a rare card to get. The changes do not take much to get used to and it plays the same, but different if that makes sense. Plus, they are still making changes balancing out the cards and seeing what works since the game has been in Beta since October.
