I dated a guy that told me he loved me after three days of starting to date. Mutual break up after three months. I tried, but I couldn't handle the clinginess.

Dala: sorry to hear about your break up I don't know how it feels like breaking up I broke up with all my boyfriends in HS (hilariously IMO my first boyfriend in highschool- gave me a swatch and I threw it at his face in the hallway at school when I found out he was cheating on me with a mutual friend)- I dumped every single guy. Then I met my husband- and we're forever.

It depends how on long you have been with your partner and/or how deeply you cared about them imo. I was with mine for 13 years, I raised her son, bought a home and seemed happy and settled for life. Anyways, she was seeing someone else for about six months before she grew a set and told me about it. Break ups can be hard and it can take a hell of a lot of time to get over something like that, but... time heals. When something like that happens it is hard to imagine that it ever will. But trust me. It does get easier Im actually quite happy being single now. I sleep when I want, PUG ME3MP when I want, and most importantly... I don't have to close the door when I go to the bathroom

That's how the last one was for me, in March She wanted me to move to Memphis with her after less than a month of dating. I was like, "I don't even know your middle name" Then came the crying, and the guilt, and the lies. Needless to say, I ignored her calls texts once she moved outta state I should've known better than to break my 'nobody under 30' rule...

Don't need to keep the toilet seat down anymore either. I've never seen the need for this, honestly. Who goes to the bathroom in the dark, with their eyes closed? And why is the woman being prioritized? They both live there. It's plain dumb and silly to demand the seat to be down. I would only ask for it to be down when there's company over cause it looks more pretty or nicer, otherwise I don't care, I have eyes and hands to put the seat down myself lol.

people are too clean nowadays, for hundreds of years shit particulates were breathed in and did nothing (ignoring the actual disease outbreaks like cholera) but in the last 50 years its become a serious problem due to the fascination of sanitising everything with industrial chemicals....

Oh I agree on the 'sanitising aspect' of what you say. There is no bleach in this house . However you cannot argue that things haven't improved since ye olde days of the pail of nightsoil out the window. And something as simple as closing the seat could help reduce risk of spread of disease and infection particularly in public and shared spaces. What you do in your own home is up to you, but if you have the shits on a cruise liner, for example, or a shared dorm at uni, perhaps it's the little things that can help limit spread. Closing the seat is not a bad habit to have, that's all I'm saying. Edit: we got round this issue by having a boys and girls bathroom. I dgaf what he does in his as I don't have to clean it or go in there

I dgaf what he does in his as I don't have to clean it or go in there that's true with reference to the respect for others and limiting the spread of infectants when your ill, as to having separate loos, one place I lived had that and the boys one was always sparkling because we poured battery acid into it, the girls one (we had to clean it for them whenever it got bunged up) was always gunged up and looked horrific.... but then that probably has more to do with the sort of people in the accommodation, the boys were all military and the gals were all clueless middleclass dolly birds.... I suspect if it wasn't for the communal cooking (normally done by me) they would all have starved (even if they all hated that I only cooked 3 meals <lasagne, spag bol & chilli> they still ate it day to day, and whilst I could cook a lot of other stuff those meals were cheap and could be batch prepared on a weekend to be treated as ready meals during the week) the other fella was the fry cook who did breakfast (porridge or bacon eggs n beans) still fortunate that I was only there for 18 weeks, any longer I might of lost the will to live ....

Break ups?
I've had plenty of standard and not so standard relations. Of course many ended, some dramatically, so less so. Some on my end, some on theirs.
Most recently however have just been sexual in nature.
I've not had a proper girlfriend or what have you since around 2012. Often times people dislike the commitments and responsibilities I give them by being in a relationship beyond sex.
Which is less than pleasing.
So sure as I said melodrama. Restraining orders, broken property, assault and battery charges, all the assorted bullshit.
Honestly what sort of man would I be if I didn't hit a woman as hard as I would hit a man?
I'll be frank.
I don't have many regrets. None of them stem from those relationships.
I'd probably do a few things differently if I could but as I cannot, ah well.
Too bad I suppose.

My husband managed to get his butt wet once with not checking. Since then, it's not an issue. It's only really annoying if you're sloshed or otherwise inattentive. I can't say I've ever cared deeply... But at least it's something everyone but the MOST crazed can joke about.

Ok, this is serious. My hubby and I had a talk today. I wanted to get a better internet connection, but he was against it and I quote "We are not getting a better connection just that you can play." And it gets worse, listen guys: I found out that he think's that "playing video games is not a hobby, it's just killing time". Like WTF! I'm getting a divorce!
Update: Ok, problem solved and we're getting a faster connection. Divorce cancelled.

SOMEWHAT relevant to the above post, more dating in general: The problem with long-term relationships is that of trust. People can, quite simply NOT BE TRUSTED. Polyamory is very likely the only possible evolution of human relationships; the only question is how many generations will it take for us to accept our natural inclination for deception/secrets/affairs? How long will we continue to lie to our children about the "soul-mate fallacy"?? Isn't it odd how during adolescence we abandon our beliefs in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy yet cling to this idiotic notion that we have a completely perfect, flawless person out there somewhere just waiting to meet us? We need to tear away this delusion and start giving young people realistic expectations regarding romantic relationships. /rant

We need to tear away this delusion and start giving young people realistic expectations regarding romantic relationships. /rant All close personal relationships are built on trust. The belief with imperfect evidence that someone will not screw you over is crucial to most human social interactions. Sometimes trust can be misplaced and broken--and that is a reality that must be accepted--but to conclude from that reality that no one can be trusted is just as foolish as believing that everyone can be. We have a natural inclination towards infidelity? Perhaps. We also have a natural inclination towards hostility at those who are different from us. That something is natural does not make it acceptable and does not mean that we do not have the capacity to rise above it. Some of us might not be able to. But others (and I'd consider myself to be within this group) can. As for the "soul-mate fallacy," the idea that there is only one person out there for each of us is a fantasy, but not the idea that you can find someone to love and trust and stay with you for the rest of your life. It's happened. People have met, fallen in love, and maintained a happy, faithful relationship until their death. Is it something that happens for everybody? No. Is it something that everybody would strive to have? No. It's an ideal. But one that is demonstrably achievable by many, many people.
