CGI trailer, but cool nonetheless. For a moment I was worried when Phil Spencer was leaving, once the screen started to glitch out, I knew it had to be CP 2077. Sad about no real information, but E3 is still not over, we might see something else. It was rendered in engine. And it actually showed both the strengths and weaknesses of RED engine.

Some people are complaining that it's not " grimdark " enough. Also they seem to forget that the game has a day and night cycle and while it has a dystopian setting, the sun still shines once in a while.
The game should have its own identity and not be like Deus Ex or Bladerunner etc. I already know I will pre-order as CDPR has a lot of credit with me due to their Witcher trilogy.

There was some hidden text in the trailer, that confirmed players get to make their own character. I guess BSN will like that. They also reiterate the point that there will be no microtransactions if anyone was still worried about that

Thanks for posting it Rascoth! I love his voice, hope that the main characters voice and love the art style. We need a release date though and pre-order on steam! Heh I was thinking the opposite in regards to the voice, sounds too young and has a little too much enthusiasm, was hoping for something deeper and less emotional, something that does not give away too much of what the character might be feeling, something somewhat more like a JC Denton but.. y'know.. better. Or at the very least allow me to install a voice modulator on my character so I can go either Robocop or Zimos

Some people are complaining that it's not " grimdark " enough. Huh, strange. Looked fairly dark to me. Pretty sure they are talking about the sun, everybody knows the sun doesn't shine in Cyberpunk stories, that is just a fact!

That is a dumb complaint, this was not "grimdark" and that's frankly refreshing. My only gripe is it's still vague. Liked the world building they showcased but otherwise I was kind of ambivalent. Will see how it plays though, I am already more vested in this one over the Witcher games. A much better trailer than the terrible CG one from five years ago at least.

That is a dumb complaint, this was not "grimdark" and that's frankly refreshing. I have to agree. Mind you, I'm fairly certain that the world and the story will be fairly grim and probably dark, but the different style is definitely refreshing. As much as I liked the concept of the Deus Ex game, their color scheme and world design are just depressing. (which is working as intended, but tend to get old at some point) Well it does show maturity for CD Projekt Red, considering how grimdark to the obnoxious degree the first Witcher was until it slowly mellowed out. That is based on visual though, I need a lot more meat in that content to be assuaged a bit more.

A much better trailer than the terrible CG one from five years ago at least. What was so horrible about the first trailer? Apart from the fact that it is CG and all CG trailers are apparently bad? Well it does show maturity for CD Projekt Red, considering how grimdark to the obnoxious degree the first Witcher was until it slowly mellowed out. Why do I feel like you feel like you have some personal vendetta against CDPR as if you are actively hoping the game will be bad? For some reason your posts are reminding me of the people on the old BSN who had some irrational hate boner for the Witcher and CDPR and refused to play any of their games and their knowledge of the games only really consisted of second hand info from dubious sources that tried to blow the most minor of problems completely out of proportion like the sex cards? I take it you aren't a fan of CDPR?

This Reddit post has a lot more information. There is a CC, it is single player story based RPG, and no microtransactions. I'm excited. Lack of CC in the Witcher series was my biggest turnoff, though I still liked them. https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/8q46m9/hidden_text_in_trailer/ Hehehe, nice touch by CDPR there. I don't know what's up with other folks, but that trailer got me pretty hyped. This game can not come fast enough.

Narrative and this try to hard to be dark setting in the first game being one of em. Second game toned it down well, at least. The first cyberpunk trailer always baffled me. Are we the cops? Are we the underwear model? Why does the model have spider arms coming out of her? What the hell is going on? It was just messy kind of pointless.

The first cyberpunk trailer always baffled me. Are we the cops? Are we the underwear model? Why does the model have spider arms coming out of her? What the hell is going on? I suspect it was aimed at people already familiar to some degree with the setting, or perhaps merely something intended to show the tone of the world. The "underwear model" actually has a point even if it may not be obvious were you to look only at the visual. There's a theme in Cyberpunk, about people who become addicted to augmentations, addicted to becoming more, and the "underwear model" kinda exemplifies that. She has the "perfect" body, and she's also a deadly killing machine. On some level, from the twisted point of view of a "psycho" (those who start to feel disillusioned with their humanity and humanity as a whole due to said addiction) she's perfect. And that's the whole issue with those types. Give them some credit, even if something about their style just rubs you the wrong way. I get that theme, my problem is those augments are impractical. Why is she a killing machine to begin with with? Wouldn't her augments be something less conspicuous when it comes to augment implementation. The trailer tonight showed a runway with a woman entirely made of silver. That to me is a better augment over blades protruding from her limbs. Show that model going psycho and slamming folks colossus style. It rubbed me the wrong way because it made no sense. Even with my limited knowledge of the setting. If it was trying to world build too it failed at that then as well in retrospect, as the new trailer is a different tone all together.

It doesn't matter whether it's grimdark or not, it just needs to stand out. For me, it didn't, and no amount of rain or neon lights or darkness can fix that. The world mostly looks like an edgier Overwatch universe with less personality, but it's just a trailer so making any kind of assumption about the game is misplaced right now. But if this trailer was supposed to make me hyped, it didn't.
If you can make your own character, though, I'm definitely going to buy it, if only to support singleplayer RPGs. Also let me be gay plz, if there's a romance option.

Are we the underwear model? Why does the model have spider arms coming out of her? What the hell is going on? It was just messy kind of pointless. As much as I love the second Witcher game I can't deny there were problems in the first 2 games that did legitimately put a lot of people off, then again there did seem to be a lot of Bioware fans in particular who went actively looking for reasons to hate the games as if they were pissed at CDPR for stealing some of Bioware's thunder. As for the first trailer I am pretty sure the goal was mostly to set the tone and the atmosphere of the game rather than specifically point out what the player's role in the game would be. Did not think the trailer was particularly hard to understand, if you know anything about the Tabletop or at least did a small amount of research you could quite easily deduce that the underwear model was a cyber psycho (somebody who went too far with the augmentations and went crazy) and the police were sent to hunt her down after she massacred a bunch of people, the arm blades I would imagine are somewhat similar to the bladed cyberweapons you can get in the tabletop if maybe not exactly the same. cyberpunk.wikia.com/wiki/CyberweaponsThey look like maybe the wolvers? In the end it was a teaser trailer and teaser trailers are generally fairly vague beyond maybe establishing a tone or atmosphere.

But it does make sense, what you see in the trailer is the augmentation in an open configuration, or perhaps halfway between opening and closing. I'd assume that when they are retracted you will only see an augmented model. Maybe I don't see it as strange because I'm familiar with Shadowrun. She is probably some sort of a mercenary (in Shadowrun she would be a "Shadowrunner"), caught up in a race to make herself better, either better for her job, or better according to whatever weird obsessive fantasy she has in her head. That's the theme after all, not all of it is supposed to be super efficient, like in real life, a lot of it is about style, and fashion trends. I guess so, but I mean even taking your shadow runner into consoderation, wouldn't she then be armored up instead of being in a night dress? It just seems a bit daft to me folks would fantasize having knives in their arms. I dont know that trailer didn't click like the new one did. New one had a lot more context that makes sense, at least upon the first viewings.

It just seems a bit daft to me folks would fantasize having knives in their arms. I dont know l that trailer didn't click like the new one did. New one had a lot more context. Well, sometimes you need to go into places where you can go in full armor as part of a job. If you go into a fancy restaurant, the guards at the entrance wouldn't let you in if you are in full military-spec armor and carrying an assault-canon. A delicate-looking model in a night-dress will probably be allowed inside no fuss. Not to mention that there are augmentations that make your skin into armor, as you see in the trailer. You got to admit, that is some pretty big leaps of speculation as to the point of a 5 year old trailer I bet many forgot existed . I am going to take the occams razor approach and presume going psycho is a big thing in the tabletop, so they wanted to showcase that in a CG trailer. Even then I guess I am out of my depth here due to my lack of cyberpunk experience.

She is armoured, did you not see the bullet shatter against her dermal armour? Even if you find her choice of attire questionable there are still a few blanks you could fill in on your own, perhaps she is fresh off the surgery table and on the run after glitching out on the surgeons, honestly you do seem to be looking a little hard for reasons to be negative, do you always apply this level of cynicism to teaser trailers or is this level of disdain only reserved for CDPR? What are the problems you could pick out of this trailer?

But If they decide to give us full romance, I can't say that I don't want it. That'd be enough, yes. They can't really hide behind '' it's the middle ages!! '' this time around either. And if you can create your own character, and romance is a significant part of the game one way or another, I do think it would be short-sighted not to include same sex romances. I'm not sure what kind of a world a cyberpunk world is for same sex relationships and such, but you'd imagine it'd be a no big deal, but it all depends on how CDPR handles their world. For all we know it's just as racist, sexist and homophobic as the middle ages lol. But as long as there's no forced romance, I can deal with it.

I guess so, but I mean even taking your shadow runner into consoderation, wouldn't she then be armored up instead of being in a night dress? She is armoured, did you not see the bullet shatter against her dermal armour? Even if you find her choice of attire questionable there are still a few blanks you could fill in on your own, perhaps she is fresh off the surgery table and on the run after glitching out on the surgeons, honestly you do seem to be looking a little hard for reasons to be negative, do you always apply this level of cynicism to teaser trailers or is this level of disdain only reserved for CDPR? What are the problems you could pick out of this trailer? Many, why the hell did he put blood on his face? Who is he fighting and why? Why is the qunari a big motherfucker with demon horns? This trailer is the same problems only it's in motion and trying to be badass. Look during the year I see so many damn trailers ,anything that doesn't include game play does little for me anymore.

I love that this is a big colorful bustling city. My fear was that it would be something like Mega City 1 or some shit where it’s constantly dark on street level, but this actually looks like a real city with huge splashes of extremely futuristic adornments. With that and the character being customizable, I’m happy enough to get it release day.
Also, I need that car in the game. I don’t care which NPC I have to kill to get it. I need it.

That'd be enough, yes. They can't really hide behind '' it's the middle ages!! '' this time around either. Sigh. They didn't "hide" behind anything. You want your pound of flesh and that's great for you, but they don't owe you anything more than they do anyone else not interested in gay romance. TW was the story of a particular character. Cyberpunk is probably a story with custom character creation. Maybe it will have gay romance, maybe it won't, can't say I care either way, but generally I hope romance in general is only a minor theme compared to the rest. I'm well aware that Geralt is an existing character and not a player insert, and that's fine, I have no problem with Witcher. That DOESN'T MEAN though that people don't use '' it's the middle ages, people hate fags so it's not logical for there to be gay romance '' is still used as an argument, whether it's Witcher or Dragon Age or any other similar game taking place in a middle age inspired world, no matter whether it's a fantasy game or not. Keep your sighs to yourself.

Oh man I sure hope that if romance is in this game, we’re made aware of whether or not our PC’s potential partner has a modular face or other....features.
