wccftech.com/cyberpunk-2077-cross-gen/They're officially open to next gen with Cyberpunk. And the other title they're working on is briefly mentioned. A much smaller game. Another rumor is we'll be getting the release date at E3.

I just hope the current consoles won't hamper them, they could delay the release to skip to the next console like they did with TW3, don't wanna have a DAI situation with CP2077.

They should wait until 2020 to release it. Both to go with the new consoles and also because come on releasing it on 2020 is too perfect for a game based off Cyberpunk 2020.

As badly as I want to play this game ASAP... it kills me to say but...i would rather they wait for next gen. Who knows how much better DAI would have been if they skipped last gen! I cannot bare the thought of this game not being "as good" as it might otherwise be due to hardware limitations! I would buy PS5 for this game, no question.

It won't be a case of cross generational development since they're focused on current gen, which is the important thing. Most likely we'll just get a next gen version of the game later on. Besides, next gen could be a full year or two out. I don't want to wait that long. Already been like 7 years now.

The industry has changed a fair bit since 2014. In a way every game is cross platform nowadays, there is a significant difference between the stock Xbone and the Xbox One X.

Please let it stay a rumour. I kind of hope it isn’t. I’m not a huge fan of her music, but she’s at least as much a visual artist as a singer, and she’s not afraid to go a bit off the rails with it. So, say the devs want to have a nightclub, or better still a really big stage performance in the game. Usually, it would just be a singer/band/whatever pretty much just standing there cycling through a few moves and gestures, with some flashing lights. Alternatively, they could work with someone who specialises in that kind of thing to help with stage and costume design, choreography, lighting and effects, etc. Basically manage the thing like a real production. If that’s the kind of thing they’re doing (admittedly, quite a big if), then Gaga seems a decent choice. I think a key factor would be if it’s a project both she and CDPR are genuinely excited about and willing to put real effort into, or if it’s just throwing a wad of cash at a big name celebrity to have them in the game? Or she may just be a character, which she could probably pull off quite well. Or maybe it is just for her music. Or all the above. That said, if I was in charge I would have made a beeline for Swedish weirdo Karin Dreijer from the Knife and Fever Ray. Like so:

That Gaga rumor was started by a French site and now that I think about it, most likely a click bait lie. Not a single Polish site mentioned her being in Poland and you know they'd be the first to report on it and actually see her there. This is cool: And wow:

I don’t remember Atari cartridges being quite that raunchy.
The gaming rumour mill should probably never be trusted. I was just saying if it were true, there’s plenty of reason to think it could be actually be a good thing, even for people who aren’t fans.
I’m not sure why the Polish press should necessarily be the first to know though. If something is officially released, everyone knows about the same time. If not, then it’s whoever pieces the clues together and guesses correctly.

I used that argument when they used so many celebs in ME3 for VA's. Miranda's made sense since they modeled the way the character looked after the VA as well. However why did we need freddie prince jr.,charlie sheen, and the I think there were others as well. When I made this argument as a thread I got a huge response of I was the only one with a problem with it.

I'd also say that while they use celebrities, they never use ones that are huge like Lady Gaga is.

Well considering they have made a dozen different types of Xbox ones we might already be in the next gen for xbox. To be honest I think they may be getting to the point where games are so advanced they can't really go farther. When you look at the difference between a PS1 game and a PS2 game it is like night and day where as when you look at xbox 360 games that were well done and an xbox one game that was well done and their isn't a HUGE difference. I mean you can see some differences but it isn't massive. And I haven't heard any news about a next gen console so it would be at least a year out.
