As long as they don't start calling my female V "they them or it" or whatever else, then I'm super fine with inclusion, I think it is rather cool. But once they do, then all gloves are off and cdpr will loose me. I remember Dexter and the gun trader in the demo calling the female V "Miss V", I hope they don't change that. Or if they do, just "V" would be fine.

To accomodate that, they'll limit themselves a lot... no calling dude, chic, lady, sir. All romance options will now be playersexual and won't recognize my Vs with all their traits. etc. Whenever someones talks about V, it'll be just "person". I'm very happy for no limitations on CC, because I want to see if I can do a female V a bit more muscular, but by excluding sex, they're making the language in the game more poor.
CDPR is really killing my desire to play this game little by little.

I'm becoming concerned about the level of 'inclusivity' Cyberpunk is trying to cater to with this game. I really don't want to see the quality of 2077 suffer just so an identity politics checkbox can be marked off. Besides, given the nature of the Cyberpunk setting why is everyone suddenly getting caught up on gender pronouns and gender reassignment? That has to be one of the most shallow (and stupid frankly) aspects to the whole notion of transhumanism that Night City is literally swimming in. But sure, I'm the weird one for wanting total droid conversions… At least with that you get to become an awesome robot rather than piddling around wondering what set of genitalia the other person has.

now I'm wondering if there will be no specific male or female pronoun use, and if they are planning to go the saints row route and call the player "they" or simply "V" all the time. Goodness I hope not.

answer: "No worries- that will be possible" The voice you choose will determine how people in game address you I think. Pick female sounding voice and Im pretty sure Jackie will be calling you 'jaina'

So this may seem like a silly question, but I saw this in the news and it's got me curious...isn't this game supposed to be first-person? How is a character creation supposed to matter anyway in a game where you don't see your character?

When you’re driving cars or bikes you have option of third person.

I think they should leave the male/female option alone if you have sliders and just add the option of having the thousands of pronouns out there that will be used to interact with npcs
I hope the immersion you get with the interactions in the world won't get diluted because of this. And I hope instead, it will be as deep whatever identification you play as.
CDPR said that except for the very basic eye and micro chip, you dont have to have any other augmentations at all. So that means you have the body/gender you are born with. I hope they honor that.

Just a reminder, there will be a gameplay stream today at 8PM CEST (11AM PT, 2PM EST), followed by a developer interview here's the links for: Twitch and Mixer. Remember gameplay reveal is only 15min long, so don't get too hyped

In all likelihood the change in the CC is to minimize the amount of twitter warriors and game journos bitching about gender topics when it releases. I highly doubt it'll affect the writing in any way. I don't think CDPR are that stupid. Also, people were asking when you actually see your character, well, they haven't really advertised this yet but they cut all the TP cutscenes. Everything but driving now plays out in FP view.

As to romance scenes, hopefully there are none now since no one wants to see that shit play out in first person.

Lol, I think that's going to be awkward as hell. They'll probably go full fade to black.

Honestly I never saw much point to having fully realized sex scenes in a game in the first place so I am totally fine with a fade to black.
All these scenes do is eat into the animation budget for no reason other than to see pixel nipples on one's screen or monitor. Really,if a person wants to see sex scenes that bad you can always look for porn online; the internet's practically swimming in it.
I'd much rather animation rigging and direction go towards augments like mantis blades or what have you rather than ensuring jiggle physics for bewbs but that's just me.

I personally wish there were no romances in video games period. They're just a cheap way to make players care about characters. Though when it came to romances, CDPR said expect nothing less than what players got in witcher 3. I'm just curious how a sex scene will be implemented in first person. I have never seen that before, and I now I'm really interested.

Wait just found more confirmation that TP cutscene will be in the game. This comes from a Q&A at gamescom starting at 17:12 they start discussing TPP, and a developer say there will be TPP cutscenes. So until there's is concrete confirmation, we don't know either way.
