Another advice : 1. Trip mines specced for Combo damage... 2. Flak Cannon Fixed your post. Playing with friends, sure! Soloing? Not even close dude.

I found the Halo clips to be underwhelming. The first clip looked like a random chaotic scramble, the second showed a slow reaction to pickup the sniper and retreat to a stronger position with teammates. What was your true skill rank in Halo 3? Did you compete in MLG?
All that advice is all fine and good, but when it comes to competing in Halo, communication and coordination dominates. Its all about knowing every corner of a map, calling out player position and damage status, and coordinating 2+ v.s. 1 encounters.
When I watch MLG tournaments (well, now its Halo Championship Series), all I keep seeing is players who look just as good as me at aiming... they are just WAY WAY WAY more coordinated as a group and have constant communication.

Playing with friends, sure! Soloing? Not even close dude. Hurricane and incendiary ammo. Mines to detonate and take the combo damage in the weopens passive. Way better than stun. Why stun something when you can just kill it?

Why stun something when you can just kill it? Have you tried soloing? You can't kill everyone in a room with a detonating tripmine+ combo, they'd have a sliver of a health. 2 almost gone to heaven raiders or annointeds can shoot you down in a second. Killing is great but in terms of utility? Stun is way better in soloing. Detonator is great against boss units though.

And how are you having trouble soloing with a hurricane and shield boost on a super tanks character ... with mines that melt everything... and set off combos???? L2P... seriously.

How does your detonating mine not kill stuff. Prime with hurricane and stuff melts to the combos after the patch... it kills stuff, but those who aren't caught with the combo detonation, who were just outside of its radius but are inside the mines' radius can still wreck you. Thought detonation was good for soloing but for me it isn't. Esp on hacks. It's great if you're playing with a group, but you're making it harder for yourself if you're soloing with a detonating mine.

I solod Gold with the Angara Insurgent 24x pre 1.06 against all three factions, my fastest was 17 mins against Remnants on Zero. I'd share my screenshot but I'm afraid you won't approve since you deem yourself a "pro", so I'll rest my case.

the level of some of the old school games i was talking about. I know Battletoads is widely considered to be the hardest classic videogame, but: Did you play... and finish... Shadow of the Beast... TWO... on the Amiga and/or Megadrive/Genesis (the cartridge version)? If that was to me, then.. no. I don't think I ever even played that. <.< But I only had NES > SNES > PS > PS2, etc. I was more pointing out that being good at Nintendo games when I was 10 doesn't automatically translate into being good at every other game now that I'm almost 40

While probably good advice, your clips are from a different game, which I found disappointing. (In this one, we have to deal with things like inconsistent ability to jump and inconsistent ability to move. And, sometimes, enemies not being where they appear to be. I would have loved seeing examples of how to deal with that kind of thing.) It's a different kind of gameplay, if nothing else. Great idea actually. I should start playing off host, and capture some clips illustrating the best way to fight lag. I'll get right on that. The first clip was a 2V2, I can see why you'd call it a chaotic scramble. My movement was chaotic, but it was deliberate. The second clip was a 2V2V1, I was on my own team. I did have a slow reaction time to picking up the sniper but that was simply because I didn't see where it went. I didn't begin playing games online until 2012, long after H3 MLG was relevant. Although some of the people that I play, and beat in Halo regularly were mid 40's. I'm not sure of what their ranks were in The MLG playlist during it's prime. I used the Halo clips because that's what I had on hand. Yes, I should of played some ME: A; and made some clips to illustrate my points that way. If I can recall when I began gaming online My KD in Halo 4 was negative by about 8,000. I was horrible. You know those kids that hold forward, and rush you with The Assault Rifle? Yeah, I was one of those except I used a BR. I was able to make it positive before I quit playing that trash game. I've come a long way, and I know that a lot of people like to complain about how awful most teammates are in PUGS. Those players aren't just lacking in the teamwork department, they're lacking individually as well. I figured that a more productive method would be to talk about what really helped me get better overtime, and how others can adopt the same methods to improve also.

Platinum on ME3 was pretty easy. "PLATINUM SOLOS" vs Platinum Co-op on ME3 Multiplayer ....big difference there Sherlock. Granted "PLATINUM SOLOS" were easier with some characters (infiltrators, vangaurds) once you got some tactics ironed out. But, give it a shot with a squishy character (asari adept, quarian engineer, etc). Let me know how it goes. Plat solos with any character are a joke if you play on giant lol

Map knowledge and learning how enemies spawn is a big key to survival. Getting yourself caught in the middle of packs of enemies because you're running out in the open is a death sentence. I always try to keep my back to a wall if possible.
After all:

Shadow of the beast trilogy..... heh that takes me back. Never completed them back in the day but did when I went back to them a few years ago. Loved the music! The music (on the Amiga at least, though the C64 version of the first one is also interesting) was terrific indeed! And part 1 was also the one of thr first games which showed the Amiga's power, instead of being a crappy Atari ST-port.

Plat solos with any character are a joke if you play on giant lol Be careful how you respond there - Dr. Watson will tell you he's the only person allowed to solo ME3 Plat. lol Holmes, sure, it is all easy peasy for you to do a collector plat solo with that quarian engineer. Now post some hard data Holmes (a video clip would be nice). We'd all look in awe at what a easy peasy time you had while you cleaned out them collectors with the quarian. I'll admit, i've only survived a plat solo with the Quarian Engineer ONCE (and i got insanely lucky at the end). Ran outta gel, missiles, everything, barely, miserably, scrambled and made it to the LC with the tiniest bit of life left. But, your confident tone indicates that you would do far better!! To show off all your limitless talent, I think the ideal map for you would be that beautiful map with the seeker swarms. ( you know the one? Seeker swarms, swarmin all over ya, as you sit there with your "weakened immune system" n all, trying to get some device enabled, while being shot at from all sides) Anxiously waiting to see and learn from that bad-ass video of your gameplay... Go Holmes! God bless!
