Folks, please bear with me. I tried FO4 a few weeks ago, and was almost immediately sick in 3rd person version. I freaked out, because I've never experienced it before, and did not buy the game. But well, I am sort of still interested & there is another title from Betshada released recently that I'd not mind checking out, but it's in the FIrst Person, so, yeah. I searched internet, found a few posts about turning off motion blur and antiasling, and I was wondering if anyone who had strong motion sickness issues could play the games after changing these settings? Any experience on the issue would be appreciated. I play on PC with EXtra wide curved monitor if it makes any difference. I have played bio's games literally for hours on end w/o ever feeling wrong. Oh, I am not taking pills to play games, period.

Hm, I never experienced that kind of motion sickness myself, but I heard that it might be cause by a small field of view that your brain just can't compute. If the game in question has a FOV slider and it's set to something lower than 90, try to increase to 90 - 100 and try playing again.

That's because you're playing the knockoff of Fallout 4 and not the true version from Bethesda.

There's a lot of games that cause this problem for me, a few third person, but a lot of first person. For me, the problem stems from them trying to be too "realistic" with their camera movements. Battlefield 3 is something I can play for about 20mins, but after that it's a problem. Then there are things like Thief, which took less than 3 minutes to leave me wanting to wretch (Also one of the strongest reactions I've had, not just one of the quickest). And I don't get motion-sick/sea-sick at all IRL, only from video games.
Sadly, I can't offer you a solution, just wanted to offer you the support of knowing that you're not the only one that has this sort of problem.

Oh, I am not taking pills to play games, period. I am the same way as you are: FPS (and games in general) are out of the question, and some 3rd person too. Bethesda is famous for that - not caring slightest about people like us. Skyrim has the same problem (same camera type?). But (!) there is a mod that fixes it, saved me when I tried the game. Here: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1450/?I did not play FO4 and never looked for the mod, however, google gives some recommendations about the problem: www.game-debate.com/news/18530/stop-feeling-motion-sick-in-fallout-4-with-these-important-tweaksMay be it will be enough? If you try it - please come back to this topic and tell about effects! I still thinking about trying the game but so far did not dare knowing about camera there.

Yep, I saw this, and since found another more thorough post that added motion blur to the FoV, bobbin, antiasling... so, yeah, I am hoping that I will be able to play it once i pick it up.

The only game which has really properly made me feel ill is Borderlands 2, and I dont know if thats because of the graphics or the gameplay

And it's not over, because Skyrim is coming to PSVR. Gonna be interesting to see how it adapts to that control scheme compared to Fallout 4 with the Vive.
