You guys are such poor liars. I'll wait till its in the bargain bin. I'll wait for a month until the bugs are patched out. I think I'll give it a pass. It's meh. I doesn't interest me. I'll see ya'll the 1st week the game comes out in the lobbies. Projecting your weaknesses onto others I have no weakness at all. I'll buy the game the 1st day and maybe like it or maybe not but I will buy it. Unlike the legion of naysayers (see me3, dai, mea) that will bleat about how they have no intention of buying the next faulty bioware game, before caving in and then crying that they knew they should not have bought the game. I can imagine your posting history is probably something like that, whoever you may be.

I played Destiny beta, didn't interest me. A Destiny clone doesn't interest me. At this time, I have no intention of buying or playing Anthem.
If it turns out to be amazing, I might. But it certainly is not a preorder or day 1 purchase for me.
And PC has a great many MMOs to choose from. Xbox, conversely, is pretty limited in that genre.

Upon us... eventually. at least its made by the main studio unlike andromeda I'm not claiming to know what you meant by this, but if you meant that Andromeda's problems were the fault of BioWare Montréal, I believe you have wildly misplaced the blame. Skipping over anything else I would say on the subject, the de facto responsible party in such a situation is always the senior design and senior management teams, with any other responsibility being very minor by comparison.* *If you need an example, the poor animations at launch were not the fault of the EA studios that worked on them, but rather the management individuals who made the poor decision of diluting stretched resources too far to reasonably be expected to work efficiently.

Bold move by Bioware. The vast majority of their playerbase are players looking for story heavy, character driven games. In most circles, I would say that at least 9/10 Bioware fanboys do not engage themselves into Bioware's multiplayer. There are those who engage into multiplayer, like us, but we usually have our reservations, as we can often see on people's complaints - mine for instance are Bioware's historic of P2P, region-lock as well as extremely poor netcoding (likely the worst in the gaming industry right now). On top of that, there are coop MP heavyweights out there for Bioware to compete against. Therefore I believe that a Bioware Multiplayer-only game has poor appealing factor, especially one that has nothing to do with the existing franchises and the worlds, races and struggles we normally care about. I am not getting anywhere hyped for this, and chances are I am not buying it right away either. Really good thing about decent MMOs is that they are supported forever as long as they generate some income. So, I presume that actually "officially permits" them to release half-arsed half-baked product which will be adjusted and tuned to whatever player base is involved. I hope also it is free to play without any subscription or maybe it is something similar to TES online when you pay 30-40 bucks for the package. I currently play some cards MMO with fake PvP for about 2.5 years and it has the most excellent support. Stinky also plays it occasionally. The meta for the game changes dramatically every few months and developers constantly introduce some new features. So, it is hard to get bored. You pretty much have to login daily, and weekly login is a must but you can play on the phone while waiting for the commuter bus and it generally does not take long. Grind is spread over years and if you take it easy, it does not bother too much. You can skip a week or two provided you are not kicked from the guild/team but I'm a guildmaster, so I can freely enjoy occasional breaks. It does not have to be something gigantic with million+ player, some healthy and stable 100K-50K community will work well. Best of all, developers would have to listen and adjust accordingly. Also, MMO does not mean there are no stories. Stories might be short though and not something on an epic scale like saving the galaxy or whatever. Just meet this guy here, clear that area, build something, help out somebody, it might work as long as there is some lore, interesting personalities and contribution to big picture. IMO, it might have some appeal, depends on how good the core gameplay is. They might have various game mods catering more to SP fans or MP coop fans or MP ME3 short horde battle fans, whatever. But as it is now, these are all speculations, lets hope they show more of it and they should and there should be some alpha testing. As it is MMO, it will be in chronic beta. Which is fine, considering current state of MEA.

I just wish coop gameplay will be anything like ME3MP. If it will, i'm gonna like it no matter what. I tend to lose interest in MP games quickly, much prefer SP games. Fun for maybe a month, then I do something else. But MEMP kept me going on for a long time. I even bought some upgrade packs, and all the DLCs of course. I might be a weirdo or something, but they did something very well for me with MEMP.

so yeah, I'll probably be there on launch as well despite my protestations
there is some entertainment in having front row seats to a trainwreck, after all

Graphics look pretty awesome. But as we all know, Bioware is pretty lackluster when it comes to making games that run stable and clean graphics-wise. Both Inquisition and Andromeda are a mess compared to other games using Dice's Frostbite engine. Andromeda runs at 30 frames per second on Xbox One and PS4/PS4 Pro, with drops all the way to 25 - a performance which is simply insulting in modern gaming. Anthem's gameplay runs at 30 frames per second on Youtube (60 frames option is not available) so we have all reasons to believe it will be just the same. Besides that, we can see frame drops during this gameplay as well - so there will be sub 30 frames moments there as well. I am just bringing these details forward for people to realize that Graphics - arguably the best part of Anthem so far - is hardly impressive. In fact it is disappointing. Dice can make far more complex games with the Frostbite engine, which both perform better and look better. Bioware's use of such engine is underwhelming to say the least.
As for the rest, I didn't see anything special, anything in itself that appealing. It seems to be a copy of Destiny, and it is competing directly against it - likely to be released post-Destiny 2. Even though Destiny is also a somewhat of a new franchise, it has sold 25 million copies (arguably more than Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises put together) and it did that as a console exclusive. Destiny 2 is coming to PC on Battlenet, which could not have been a better place for a MMO game. Anthem is coming to Origin which, with the exception of the BF series, isn't know as a successful Multiplayer platform.
I feel that Bioware is taking on a gargantuan challenge with this new IP and have all odds against them.

LMAO that is the biggest bullshot trailer I've ever seen in my fucking life. This will get drastically downgraded to run on pleb-boxes.
That shotgun is wrecking people in one shot? Either they're playing on Bronze or Edmonton understands something about shotguns that Montreal doesn't.
They're targeting Fall 2018 release, Destiny 2 will have been out for a year. Unless this has some kind of gameplay elements that are absolutely mind-blowing, this one is probably gonna get dustbinned pretty quick. Shame. BioWare used to be beautiful.

1. I love how they summoned Kim out of thin air for the storm, but not for the cave. 2. Am I the only one smelling bait and switch here? 3. The majority of gameplay elements isn't exactly "new". Most of the stuff seems to be borrowed from mmos.
