I dunno, I find it to be incredibly polished. Balance/Mechanics, those things are ever changing. From the top down how integrated every aspect of the game is with every other, the UI, all the quality of life features and mechanics, the art, the music, the basic functions of the game (how smooth it is to move your character around in the world and how natural it feels to use abilities). Blizzard pays attention to every detail of their games no matter how small. That's why it takes them 10 years to release anything. Heard the original release was super buggy. I played BC - buggy. WOTLK - buggy. Cata - buggy. Then a little bit of WOD - buggy. I remember talking to my friend who got me into it because I was reporting bugs and he was telling me that many of them had been there from the beginning. Much complaining about bugs on the forums, as well as features not working as intended, etc. Very buggy on initial expansion releases as well. I never encountered lots of bugs. Most of the early day issues were just server related because they didn't have the hardware in place to keep up with how fast the game we growing. With millions of people all playing the game bugs were encountered I'm sure, but I can't even think of an actual code bug I encountered during years of playing the game. I don't really count things like server issues or exploits (seeing as how some of those were on purpose like taking the shortcut through old Karazhan by side jumping up the dome and dropping through the world to get to other wings of the castle).

Bosses glitching out, quests broken, mobs becoming immortal, crashes, etc. Ran into all of it. WoW was a buggy game, especially during the first months of an expansion release. I'm not saying there weren't any, just given the size of the game remarkably few. Bosses glitching (especially early on) were often latency (ie hardware related) or wonky positioning things like that. It was actually pretty easy to do it intentionally if your tank knew where to stand. Yeah its a bug, but pretty dang knitpicky to call out standing on that one pixel of ground in the whole dungeon causing the boss to reset. Broken quests, can't say I ever came across any, but given the game literally has 1000's of them that is kinda inevitable. Mobs becoming immortal, see bosses. Crashes, yeah it happens though the reasons for that can be lots of things. The early days were worse than they are now but since Wrath on when they had most their hardware upgraded the game is incredibly smooth. All I can say is, aside from hardware related server downtimes in the Vanilla days, I had very a different experience.

Seeing all the negative makes me want to be positive about this new game.. but I can't since it's MMO Bioware please prove us wrong. If it's going to be MMO, it should be at least ESO level in quest and story content.

Meh. I like DAI and MEA and I'm still playing both. I also like SWTOR playing PVE. If this game is equal to SWTOR PVE (which really isn't that high a bar), I'll probably get it. I hope it has a good story, but from first glance this game doesn't seem to be the type that would be stay heavy, so (assuming I get it), I'll go into it with that knowledge and expectation. Of course this is all just speculation and many things could change my mind before it comes out. Maybe this will be the game to get me to play with other people. The big difference is there is new content being added to SWTOR at least twice a year. Want my MEA DLC I do as well. However, that doesn't change my current opinion of Anthem, nor my opinion of SWOTR, MEA or DAI. In fact there's a large part of SWTOR I can't play because I only play solo- but I still enjoy the game. I would be dissapointed if there were no DLC for MEA, but that wouldn't affect my decision to buy/play any further games.

Got the original game on sale a few years after release. No bugs but that is to be expected. Found a private server and played the game.... Meh.... Haven't played WoW in years. Still for $19 buck I can't complain.

Some possibilities:
(1) Game is mission driven. You can choose to play the mission solo or start solo and open to others popping in to play the mission or join a currently ongoing mission = "live service" = must play online only.
(2) New content will be added to this persistent world., such as baubles, armour set, weapons even WoW like expansions. So we will go from Fort Tarsis to Fort Puma, for example.
(3) No romance but a SP campaign will have up to three (min) companions <=== all those writers must be paid to do something.
At this stage, though, I'm bored...... Bio marketing has consistently oversold their games and downgraded the production versions.

There were definitely bugs at release, I'm not trying to deny that. Things definitely got much better as time went on though to now today the types of bugs Faceman mentioned are nearly non-existent in the game. That wasn't even the point I was trying to make though in saying how polished Blizzard games are.

It's being described as RPG so I don't think it can be simple mission driven. Or at least what I'm thinking of as mission compared to quest. I'm pretty confused on how they are going to include RPG elements to MMO, I mean sure there is games that claim to be MMORPG's, but they don't really have any RPG qualities in terms of character building, decisions, relations to other characters etc.

Saying that, SWTOR has dark/light choices in a lots of quests/missions and a few choices that aren't "dark/light" at the story level. They simplified story choices (not the Dark/Light ones) during beta because players complained about them though (like complaining they killed a companion). Oh and Anthem is described as a up to 4 co-op game on the official website, not a MMO.
