My main hope is that, aside from just having more and higher quality story, Anthem will maintain Bioware staples like dialogue trees and building relationships with NPCs. I am hoping to see some new approaches to forming attachments to your protagonist. I think the idea that you only play one character changing suits is good, because you do everything with him/her, but what if you want to see different options in the dialogues and see different quest outcomes? Or even change your appearance and gender for different VA? I assume you cannot replay with an alt? Or will all voicing for the Freelancer will be your own voice, so you have to self-insert? Can you create alts in Destiny or is it strictly one player = one character game? You can create alts in Destiny. It's like a traditional MMO where you character is of a certain class and can only access those skills. So a lot of people like having a Warlock, a Titan, and a Hunter. Each class had two sub-classes (I believe expanding to three in the sequel) with a variety of different perks and passive skills.

I don't see Bioware restricting us to a single character, nor will they suddenly drop the voiced protagonist. Even the player characters in Destiny have spoken lines, though they speak seldomly. Oh, that's good! So I can if I want to try both a male and a female lead, and play solo as well as in a permanent duo if they let you. do they have friendship or mentorship or marriage in-game set ups with bonuses like some Asian MMO? Because they had shown the Friend of the Week tag in trailer, so I wondered if it was from Destiny or from China, lol.

They expanded to three in the Taken King expansion, it looks like they're revamping them entirely in the sequel.

Well, they are good bonuses if you want to play as a duo only and not go to 4M. I think I will watch for any information for specific features intended for couples as well as solo players. So far I was unable to even get my hubby to see the trailer, but I am sort of hoping that Colossus thing will appeal to him.

I have another question! Does anything from your grind and legacy carry over from Destiny to Destiny 2?

I have another question! Does anything from your grind and legacy carry over from Destiny to Destiny 2? Nope, they said character appearances carry over if you are at least level 20 and completed the vanilla story, but we lose everything else. They even have a story reason to explain why, but the real reason is because they're totally revamping the systems.

I don't know, but if it's tied to your account rather than console specific data it should be possible.

I know people playing Fifa Ultimate Team, grind all year and have to restart from scratch as soon the yearly new edition is released. That's a bit too much, I think. On the other hand you have Pokémon (yeah..) in which a Pokémon in which you invested a lot of time and energy 16 years a go, still pays off in later games.

Thank you all for the answer. Sounds scary and sad and as far from BW traditions as one can imagine. Well, youtube is our friend, as usual - will see if they can bring anything "Bioware-ish" into that sessions-game. It's actually a good thing that Destiny (main game) was weak on story. That's where Bioware can come in and do a much better job. Far more important than what similar games have done or not done with story in the past is, how does the gameplay itself enhance or detract from story and character building? How does drop-in co-op help/hurt storytelling? Or the Fort T hub? Or the mission structure for a Freelancer? Or capability being tightly bound to a Javelin suit? For example, is a story completely agnostic about what Javelin you happen to be wearing, or is the story influenced by what Javelin you are wearing? Either option has profound implications.

You can play all of the classes just by switching suits, but XP and grind rewards accrue to you the player.

It seems to be the features most grinders open up after about a year into the game, to keep the leet from leaving. I would be very surprised to see account bound XP/gear perks at release. Pleasantly so.

Good thing this is not gonna be like destiny but more of a drop in drop out coop thing according to the quotes we have gotten so far...
Also...there really is no need to create alts in Anthem....the classes are basically the equipped javelins.

I think I'm at around 1500 hours in Destiny.
You can select the difficulty level when selecting a level. Same with the Division. You get better loot for doing the harder stuff.
I imagine there will be daily and weekly resets on bounties, strike type missions, daily missions, and raid style missions
Destiny is not that much fun playing solo. Playing with a group is a ton of fun. Best community experience in gaming IMO. Have built some pretty awesome friendships with people across the globe and locally.
It's all about the loot and gear/weapon collecting and customization.
Bioware relationships and dialogue wheels won't fit or it will be really interesting to see how they fit when you are mostly going to be playing with a group or grinding through missions for loot and experience.
I don't use anything outside PlayStation party chat. Game chat usually sucks in terms of quality and it party chat automatically mutes ransoms. If I want to talk to them, I'll send them a party invite
Anthem seems a lot more seemless than Destiny which is a good thing.
I really hope there are raids with special rare loot like destiny. This is the best pve experience in the game. Having a gladiator arena like the prison of elders would be awesome too

Also I think the game will be closer to the division than destiny
