I enjoy cooperative mp, I seldem ever enjoy pvp mp. We know there is co op, I hope they've put all their effort into making that great instead of trying to do pvp too. Yeah...this is where i'am with this.....PvP involves too much balancing to get right. I'm not a fan of Call of Duty, but i have seen a few PVP vids and watched some of my menz play and the gameplay at times seems frantic with players dying incredibly fast and re-spawning.....idk i guess it can be balanced, but i much prefer cooperative mp.... CoD is an FPS. Anthem is not. Anthem is an online action RPG. If there is PvP, it's not going to resemble CoD, Destiny, Battlefield, or any other FPS. I'd wait to see what BioWare is doing before completely disregarding the possibility.

One thing I remember from the trailer is the volley of guided missiles fired from one of the javelins. Lock onto a bunch of targets, fire.
That kind of weapon is pretty much a no-no for PVP - players resent getting hit and killed by lock-on projectiles. It just feels like a really cheap way to die, as any player of Titanfall or Battlefront can tell you. And those only had weapons that locked onto a single target, not a whole group of individuals.
This makes me assume that there won't be PVP in Anthem, unless lock-on weapons would be restricted to PVE, which I don't think is likely.

This makes me assume that there won't be PVP in Anthem, unless lock-on weapons would be restricted to PVE, which I don't think is likely. Again, I still think it's too quick to assume just based off of one ability. For all we know, PvP could be similar to Halo, where you have to run to certain areas of the map for power weapons that give you an extreme advantage (think the energy sword). Or, it could be like COD where kill streaks lead to special perks. Not to mention, I'm fairly certain Titanfall 1, which was multiplayer only, had abilities that could lock on to enemies. Since we are piloting exosuits, it's really not that surprising. We also don't know how much damage that volley of missiles would do to other javelins, considering she was clearing out trash mobs. If I had to guess, it wouldn't be any different from a standard AOE attack in most MMOs. Since we are talking about BioWare, the equivalent would be Death From Above or Lightning Storm. We just know so little it's really too difficult to insinuate one way or the other.
