@raverdale hah! Not a bad idea, but he ain't worth mah time for reals. XD In fact, I would have been too bored for the spell to cooldown too. Now here is a trick question - had you been given a chance to spare him, similarly to Loghain, would you have done so? Well, I beat Origins eleven times, and to keep playing the same game through that many times interesting I've had to do just about everything except for the US and letting the undead have Redcliffe at least once. So, probably but not necessarily.

There is no way Howe would take a final blow on AD or participate in any real battle at all. His Warden bribe would probably have to be along the lines of Tevinter slave trader.

Whatever his other faults, he showed no sign of cowardice during his fight with the Warden. He fought the Warden without hesitation when the Warden got to him, and his last words were less "I don't want to die" and more "screw you and the horse you rode in on."

Ah that's true, but just because he's willing to fight for himself doesn't mean he'll fight for the Warden. Now there is someone a lot more likely than Zevran to stick a dagger into your back and he already did that to many Couslands. It even would be like him to think that Blight can be perfectly fought off with all the other expandable people in the world without his participation. I have to say though - his dying speech is the best in Origins.
