Venom is great. I don't understand the low scores on Rotten Tomatoes. If it had those 40 minutes of cut content and a connection to Spider-Man, the Venom movie would have been great.

Looks awful, thx for the recommendation Youtube. Did the world need another Sherlock? I'm so sick of recycled material, write something original ffs. We didn't even need a comedic take on Sherlock, because "Without a Clue" already did it in the 80's.
(Where Watson was the real great detective and "Holmes" was a fictional character played by a washed-up actor)
But yeah, Will Ferrell playing Sherlock Holmes? I... just... what? Was everyone involved high?

My God... It's almost as if DC is trying to run things into the ground. Wow Really? Other than the thumbnail below - where Arthur is wearing that awful orange armour (and is probably a final scene/post-credit scene in my view) I thought it looked pretty damn good. What didn't you like about it?

The Mummy. 1999 version, not the 2017 version which I didn't watch and not likely to. Ahh the good old days of great visuals and good fun movies. Nearly 20 years??? I love that film, it's just the right amount of silly. Not a Tom Cruise fan, but I don't know why people didn't like that last Mummy movie from 2017. I just watched it again on Saturday, and that movie is a lot of fun - great action (especially the airplane crash), funny quips, the ending is a little weird, but otherwise I thought it was a good solid start to the Dark Universe. Now that I think about it, the whole vibe kind of reminded me of the original Ghostbusters - a couple of characters with good comedic timing thrust into a horror film. Mummy 2017 wasn't that much of a horror though.

Mummy 2017 wasn't that much of a horror though. Yeah, completely agree - it wasn't as good a "Universe starter" as the first Iron Man - but honestly, has any film ever been as good at starting off a shared universe? Especially since we've only ever had a small handful of such films. Star Wars (ANH) doesn't count because it was the start of a trilogy and only became the first entry in a cinematic universe retroactively.

Venom is great. I don't understand the low scores on Rotten Tomatoes. In my opinion they just don't know what a good movie is in 99 out of a 100 times i do not agree with them i always check what google is saying ( so the people out there ) and i can say that it is the complete opposite so 99 out of a 100 times i agree with them. Haven't seen Venom yet but i will when it's on blu-ray or 4K.

I found Venom to be a huge disappointment.
One of these movies where they put all the halfway decent shots into the trailer so that people go and see it.
I'm not even venting about the story (didn't expect much), but character development was non existent (which is especially sad because I really like the idea of Venom and the internal struggle with his host!), people act the way they do because I-think-it-would-be-so-cool-to-have-a-scene-like-that and the end was a cringy CGI-fest where I didn't even know what happened most of the time. Also, WTF was up with Michelle Williams' wig?!
The only thing worth watching was Tom Hardy because he always is and you can tell he really tried to make something out of his part.

Same goes for the third part ( Tomb of the Dragon Emperor ) though not nearly as good as the two ( Mummy 1 and 2 ) movies before but still i enjoyed part three as i said quite a lot too.

As for Amber Heard, I don't really know that much about her, other than the Johnny Depp "thing".

I saw it twice in theatres (only second time ever I've done that) and have watched on BluRay or Google Play maybe 7 or 8 times since. The movie was on a hiding to nothing after all the drama around it's production.

The current DC/WB situation is a monumental cluster-fuck. As in; I can't remember things being this bad and having this leadership this poor for a movie studio or franchise since what happened to my beloved ALIEN movies. The "prequels" were so misguided and stupid. It still boggles my mind... anyway Of course you are free to like some of these movies, but the overall way that this IP has been handled, beginning with the Zack Snyder creshendo is truly disgraceful. Such a shame, there's so much good material

I watched this flick again the other night... It still is one of my favorite of the series, but there are issues A couple questions; Why the hell does Magneto use a fucking GUN to attempt (badly) to kill Mystique? How can Magneto power up & operate the Sentinels via his railroad-track circuitry?? Wouldn't they be more like marionettes?? Why the fuck does Magento drop the stadium on the White House lawn? Why does Mystique take custody of Wolverine at the end?

Saw Jackie Chan's The Foreigner recently. To sum it up, it's a story about Chinese Rambo trolling the IRA and beating the shit out of Roose Bolton.
Great to see Jackie showing off his dramatic chops and going toe to toe with Pierce Brosnan and the story was decent. Fight scenes were great as per usual and had a satisfying arc. I highly recommend it for any Jackie fan.

I saw this movie for the first time the other week and absolutely loved it:
One of the things I love about the movie is that it strays away from a realistic approach to the combat in favor of indirectly showing how utterly insane the whole conflict was. Gives off a unique vibe, especially near the end.

Did they seriously not think anyone would notice it if they blatantly ripped off An American Werewolf in London?
