There are commercials I have seen for tv shows that are popular that I know I will never watch just from seeing the commercials.
A few of these are 'The masked singer' slobbering panellists making fools of themselves over some celeb singer? 'This is us' appears to be a sappy pretentious show, I will never watch it.
The Hallmark tv channel? Wut? A whole channel dedicated to sappy chick flicks!?
Judge me if you wish!
Come at me bros!

Just watched this a few days ago...interesting take on Religion and the ending is left to interpretation.....this anime has very little dialogue and a ton of symbolism....if you are familiar with stories of the bible (and the one depicted here is one of the more familiar ones)...you'll know what is transpiring here....it was actually my first time seeing it and it was in my "recommended" section...lol...dark and a bit brooding, but i like atmosphere of dread and hope.... There's alot of weird stuff happening too, but that is where you have to figure out for yourself what is actually going on....

I was going; oh no. no mask out in the desert?! Is this woman a Fremen or just a model? when I saw the image for this video. I hope it's a good movie, keeping to Frank Herbert's DUNE.

Finally talked myself into seeing this Stuff I liked; Adam Driver's performance, Sith stuff, Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine, Leia's performance (& lightsaber), Duel on the Death Star Wreckage Stuff I didn't like: Rey being the "chosen one", insults/recons of the classic trilogy, Finn & Poe being kind of dumb, "Hyper-skipping", the life-force stuff, Reylo, a few other things that aren't coming to mind Stuff that made little to no sense; Leia becoming a Force ghost? Rey calling Leia Master? That weird lightsaber at the end? Palpatine's fingers? Rey posing as Wonder Woman? Hux as a Resistance spy? Kylo trying to run Rey down in his fighter?? 6/10 it was just decent enough to be worth my $. Just barely

I'd heard of Sharknado, but never seen it. My wife downloaded it and I am currently having some kind of out of body experience.
I am 99% sure that most of the peoe shown so far had no idea they were in a movie.

5.5/10 What can I say about this film, I am a big fan of Robert Eggers' work so far. I liked the VVitch very much, and I was excited about this flick. I don't love Pattinson, but he's clearly a great actor. I greatly appreciated the aesthetic effort that went into this film. I liked the references to New England and 19th century Seamen. I loved the B&W, and the aspect ratio, the score etc. However, it became tiresome for me. Too much dialogue, too much repetitive imagery. I have always been a Willem Dafoe fan, he is a brilliant actor but I feel was a bit underutilized in this role. I might need to see it again, but it just rubbed me the wrong way somehow. I wanted more from the Lighthouse

Kirk Douglas: “I saw a little picture that Stanley Kubrick had done [the 1956 film The Killing], and I said, ‘Gee, he’s very talented.’ I called him and said, ‘Do you have any other projects?’ He said, ‘Yes, I have a project, but nobody wants to do it.’ And he sent me Paths of Glory. I said, ‘Stanley, this picture won’t make a nickel, but we have to do it.’”
Note the breathtaking callousness and casual brutality of the Generals, the judgements on human life are delivered as though they are ordering their next dinner course.
The "this is not a question of officers" line speaks volumes.

I finally watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. About halfway through as I was watching it I thought "meh pretty good movie", but then I got to the ending. That is one of the most cathartic endings I've ever seen.

Found Inception on my shelf and pitched it to the family, and we had a blast. Really underrated movie. Brilliant in so many different ways. Only had to pause twice to hash it out and make sure we all understood what was going on. Now I'm about a third as confused as I remember being leaving the theater in 2010.

Saw this, been meaning to. Heard good things about Crimson Peak, unfortunately many of them weren't true. This film has many Del Toro classic touches, beautiful set pieces... but it fell flat. The 3rd act is messy & predictable, which is a shame considering this cast. Especially Chastain & Hiddleston, kinda felt like they did this because of a contract clause or something 4/10

Recently watched X-Men: Dark Phoenix - why is it so hard to get this story right at a live action movie level? Seriously. There were some good moments, liked the fight on the train and was kind of surprised/impressed they didn't try and hand waive away a big death. But just ordinary. Might have been acceptable - or even good - in the early days of superhero movies (i.e. circa 2000), but not now.
Last night watched Birds of Prey - a bit uneven, but overall really enjoyed it. Harley is crazy and so is her movie. Wish Huntress and Black Canary had been more present, though.

Speaking of the Super-genre, I saw Spidey: Far from Home 6/10 Pretty mediocre, but I did like the classic Spider-man stuff. A bit too much cell-phone crap IMHO, Homecoming was a bit better

I had fun watching it, but the stakes felt very low (even though it was standard 'we'll rule the world' stuff from the villains). Although I loved the line early on in Venice - "I can help! I'm really strong!...And sticky!"

I just don't care anymore. And it's not that I don't like how they 'wrapped up' the Infinity Saga. Quite the opposite. It's just that the unique surprise of how well it all worked is no longer a card they can play. I'll still see - some, at least - of the movies, maybe even in theaters, assuming they ever re-open , but it is no longer appointment viewing. At least, not for me.
