I'm playing through my first playthough on easy. I nearly at the archdemon, I have rarely any potions left, I got no armies left, I can't get pass the first floor in the tower or rather first room.
Where did I go wrong lets see.
Only kept one save, other auto saves are at each of the disricts where generals are. I stupidly though oh since I can one shot the darkspawn, that I shoulnd't need my part and should be easy since its on easy.
Well ♥♥♥♥ me, now I'm stuck, I don't feel like retrying at the auto saves, I'm a ♥♥♥♥en tank for one.
If I'm truly stuck and nothing I can do, then I feel liek droping the game all together and the series in general.
I could start a new game, but ♥♥♥♥ that I spent many hours already, I was planing a second playthough, but only after I beat the game, now I don't even want to if I can' beat this dam game.
I have no could which armies are best for each of the genrals, I might try to skip them and go for the two main parts.
I feel really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I think i just ruin the game as a whole.
I don't like having to restart over, knowing I haven't fished the first playthough, I don't want to use cheats ethier ♥♥♥♥ that.
Any tips for a retard, or am I'm totally screwed and should call it quits. doubt I even buy the other two games, knowing i haven't beaten number one, yes I know saves don't matter much in the newer games etc.
Oh well guess I play other games at this rate.
PS Sorry for my bad languish, just really pissed of and feel like breaking my TV monitor, but won.t

The Archdemon uses spirit attacks. Check your inventory for other spirit resistance items and balms-give to your other members of the party. Save the elves for the fight against the dragon, or the mages-thats what they are there for. Bring a healer and see if you have enough crafting components for more healing potions. See if you can return to the merchant in the building if you have a save back that far. Sets tactics to heal 50% for healer and 50% for healing potions if you can accumulate any.

Thanks for the tips, I manage to get past the first floor and ran into that npc enchantment kid, thank the maker had few more tough spots, had to lure some mobs away. Archdemon took me 3 attempts, mainly due to the dark spawn and i focus on the arrow things instead of the archdemon, second time i wasn't pay any attention to my health well kinda of. 3rd try I beat him with rarely taking any damage use pots when needed, I did take some damage but since i was a tank, and use the right talents etc, I did fine. Now debating weather or not to do a second playthough now or do the stand alone dlc and xpack. Only dlc I wont do is the bard lady one, since I didn't use her that much in part. If i do decied to do another playthough, i probably do another non moded maybe or starting use mods and go a rogue, probably be bad guy or gray. I also plan on not using the same part this time around and switch things up. This time i take things easy, do all side quest, etc, make sure i make the right choices for the landsmeet, and hopefully gain Logain as an ally, and see Allistair as a drunk lol. Debating what race to go for rogue, i heard drwaf is the best for min maxing and 10% resistance to magic or spell i think, but i kinda wanna go female and not a female drwaf then again i heard they are fun. I was thinking going a female city elf or the other elf.

Only one save? WHY? Don't let it put you off the series, it's really good. And ffs save more!

I think I literally save 200-500 times a game, with at least 4-8 hard saves going at different story points.
Can't compute a single hard save.
Glad you beat the game, though. I liked Awakening and the Witch Hunt. Then on to DA2.

Yep, Awakening and Witch Hunt are the two best DLCs. And Witch Hunt is only really needed if you like Morrigan and want closure for her story.
The Golems DLC has the most difficult fight in the whole game on Nightmare, and thus, the most difficult to attain Achievement... but if you had trouble beating the Archdemon on Easy, then don't even try. :-P

Agree with Golems DLC, it is definitely a challenge for sure, especially if you're going for the achievement. I only just got the achievements for that a month or so. It look me about 6-7 hours of reloads to do it. I had given up for the night, went back to it the next day and got it after a couple more reloads.
I only recently got Leliana's song. It was fun, but short. I don't think it has the replay value as the others. I like Darkspawn Chronicles, I replay that one probably the most out of the standalone DLC.
Oh and I was thinking about this thread the other night. I overwrote one of my saves, I was at Redcliffe Castle trying to save Connor. My warden was a rogue and even though I had both Morrigan and Wynne with me, I convinced Irving to go into the Fade instead. I never had a problem using Irving on lower difficulties but this time I couldn't keep him alive after the 3rd demon encounter and I was cursing up a storm. I no longer had a save from just prior to choosing who I wanted to go into the Fade. Stupid me overwrote that one once Irving was in the Fade. I was sorely tempted to go back to the save before that and just kill Connor instead because his voice grates on my nerves in the Fade sequence and by that stage I felt like killing him. I didn't, I stuck with it and eventually got through but I'll not be doing that again.

Leliana's Song is worthwhile to get Battledress of the Provocateur, at least if you like to run DLC gear.

I liked the ingame DLCs the most (Return to Ostagar, Wardens Keep and the Shale DLC). Lelianas Song was kind of fun and the Golem DLC was challenging. The Darkspawn Chronicles are funny, but I only played it one time. I'm not a fan of Witch Hunt, but I don't like Morrigan and had no real motivation to find her, for which purpose ever. I guess, if you like Morrigan, it's a good DLC too. I only played it once and in the end, when a decision had to be made, my warden chose the 'Whatever' version

I think I played Witch Hunt twice. Once on Normal, the second time on Hard to get the achievement. I have no desire to play it again. I am not a huge Morrigan fan, but it wasn't even so much that. I thought the companions you get were annoying. I turned my sound down the second time so I didn't have to listen to their banter. I remember it being like "Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!!!" levels of annoying to me.

I assume black hearts mean fuck. You can download skip the fight mod, it's pretty useful. I started using it after my 8th PT or so
