I didn't find a thread for Reaver Builds. Here we go. I know there is little room for variation with Reaver builds because any build without Dragon Rage is considered as too weak but I try 1. The basic (boring) build (but still recommended for players with lower stats)a: Low CunningUse Devour if you have need of health, as well as improving your crit chance for Dragon Rage. If you ask "Why no Rampage?" : it might seem to be great but with lower stats you will like the crit chance bonus from Devour, Combat Roll and Mighty Blow improve your flexibility and your chances for survival (assuming you do not have an Amulet of Physical Immunity) b: Decent/High CunningWith this build you basically use Rampage and Dragon Rage all the time being nearly immortal (if you play on a difficulty suitable for your stats). Use Mighty Blow/Pommel Strike for sword/shield enemies. This build assumes you have PI Amulet, if not replace Pommel Strike with upgraded Combat Roll.Recommended Gear:Weapon: Use the weapon with the highes base damage (not DPS) you have (Dragon Rage damage is calculated by base damage not DPS of your weapon) Belt: Anything that improves health, elemental resistance or defense. For a: Get as much crit chance as possible. There should be no need for heal on kill at all. For b: Dragon Rage Ring. 2. The Destroyer (Copied from official BSN all credit goes to "ThatBruhYouDK")Modified Build how I use it: The Destroyer Build (Cal version)I removed some passives as well as the upgrade for Mighty Blow and put in Bloodbath, Warrior's Resolve (faster stamina gain because DR attack do not generate stamina on hit as basic attacks do) and Flow of Battle to use Pommel Strike more often.
3. Dancing in the MoonlightThis build is without Dragon Rage and not recommended for player with low stats/gear. I just wanted a change to avoid getting bored playing the Reaver. The Dancer's BuildGear: Weapon: The Dancer's Axe (obviously) Amulet: Physical Immunity Belt: +200 Health Rings: Enhanced Pommel Strike, Enh. Earthshaking Strike (or two Crit Damage Rings if you prefer to rely more on basic attacks) With The Dancer's Axe, Flow of Battle and Rampage you are fast and gain health all the time and you reduce your cool downs very fast making it fun to use your other abilities very often. This build is definitely doing less damage than a build with Dragon Rage (especially on single targets) but less boring Have fun

2. The Destroyer (Copied from official BSN all credit goes to "ThatBruhYouDK") My own variant of ThatBruhYouDK's build is : Dragon Rage+ , War Horn+(usually grab Flow of battle together with it), Mighty Blow+ and Devour. The guard bonus damage from war horn upgrade is helpful especially in HB...and the reason to keep Mighty Blow is I want to have at least one detonator ability for cross-class combo, despite the fact that Reaver is a lone killer...mostly Also I finally took HOK ring off Reaver and ditched Rampage. Still feel nervous running around in low health but the damage boost is very satisfying

I used This build back in the day when i started playing. Flow of Battle and Deathblow passives are working great with War Horn and you can use Dragon Rage + Rampage combo almost all the time.

My build:
Dragon rage+ Devour War horn+ Rampage
Flow of battle passive.
I used to play with combat roll instead of devour, but as my defenses got higher I decided to take devour again. Now I got the PI and probably gonna replace it with mighty blow or pommel strike.

I want to set up a 4 reavers dancer axes NM match. Everyone in the reaver starting outfit and can only use basic spinning attacks and ring of pain and no one is allowed to use any heal pot. Since we are not using any stamina, ring of pain won't cause us anything. The low armor will increase damage... so it will be 4 whirlwinds of death (their deaths.. or ours!)

Even with the upgrade RoP costs 8 Stamina per second. Won't it still expire fairly quickly? No one does stuff like this on PS4. It's all serious business over here.

I meant we are not using any stamina for other skills, so it won't cost us anything as stamina will just sit there if not being used by RoP. It would be really cool as the floor will be red and 4 reavers spinning across like a discotech.... I have a vision that I will be recording it and mix in "Oh yes it's ladies night and the feeling's right".

Going to prove my noobness here. Why are my dragon rage damage numbers constantly drastically increasing if I hit the same enemy a few times with it? I've seen it go from 6000 to 7500 to 9000 in the course of three hits on a single enemy. I get that it will increase a little from my health slightly going down each time but the magnitude of the increase doesn't seem be proportional to this. Is there some innate passive on the reaver that each consecutive attack or dragon rage hurts more than the last similar to a pincushion skill?
And I'm not referencing the double hit on the third dragon rage.

Do you take Shield-Breaker? If so, their armor would be reduced.
Also, if you are losing health at the same time, Dragon-Rage would be hitting harder. And it might be an appreciable amount when you subtract the base armor of the enemy. That would make the 1% for each 1% of your missing health actually be closer to 2% perhaps?

The thing is, going from 6k to 9k is a 50% increase. As far as I remember, my health was pretty constant when I saw this. probably only a 4-6% drop. Honestly, I'm not sure but I probably had shield breaker at the time. This was a heartbreaker game and I was the main DPS so there probably wasn't a lot of killing besides from me to stack fervor though I could be wrong. I'll look more closely next time I'm in a HB game and report back. As of now, it is hard to test by myself since NM enemies go down too quickly and I can't test on HB alone without losing too much health and getting the damage bonus that way which I don't think it is. Guard smasher says you do more damage to guard with every hit so I was originally thinking this but I think it even happens on enemies without guard. I guess I don't have enough information right now.

You are accounting for the fact that the dragon rage attack sequence has a built in damage modifier for each swing, right? attack_1: ability_multiplier = 150%. Flat +1% to damage_multiplier per 1% missing health. attack_2: ability_multiplier = 150%. Flat +2% to damage_multiplier per 1% missing health. attack_3: Hits twice. ability_multiplier = 150% per strike. Flat +3% to damage_multiplier per 1% missing health.
