On holiday on Dantooine. This whole "vengeance on the Jedi" thing gets very tiring after a while.

ok but i do have one tip to make sure you get your food hot, just sprinkle some water over your food before microwaving it. Putting in a lightbulb also helps.

My microwave is used for exactly two things... softening butter in winter and heating milk for hot chocolate. That is it. I think the poor thing would have a fit if I put actual food near it.

I pretty much live on microwave meals. Home cooking is only cheaper if your time has no value.
(If the adage "you are what you eat" is true, I consist mostly of additives).

Home cooking is only cheaper if your time has no value. This isn't really directed to you so I don't mean to offend but I see this argument a lot from people you won't cook and it implies that cooking needs to take 2 hours to make anything, which just isn't true. Last night I made a lentil spinach and coconut curry with rice and popadoms in 15mins from start to finish. You can make a good hearty dinner in under 20mins most nights. That said its a choice not to cook and people can do whatever they choose that makes them happy.

Stupid useless nukecinerates food on the outside while it remains frigid inside.
Always beeping at you to make themselves feel useful
Well, here's a mystery for you: At my job, we have a couple of brand new microwaves. My mother has a some years old microwave. They both work exactly as you describe. One has to let the food sit in the microwave for another 10-15 minutes for the heat to spread, then give it another minute. So where's the mystery? I have an old microwave. I don't remember exactly how old, but I think it's at least 20 years. It's not much used. My parents, who I nicked it from when they were going to throw it away, never used it much, and I don't use it so much either. But when I do, the food is perfect! From frozen to just about right warm, evenly, completely through. The only explanation I can think of is that they used to make them differently. Longer waves possible? But at some time it got cheaper|safer|more efficient to build them so they don't work as well and annoy you? This is apparently normal human consumer evolution. The very annoying and useless ballpoint pen replaced the excellent fountain pen. Just because like. "It's modern". The very annoying and useless canned shaving foam replaced the excellent hard shaving soap and brush. Just because like. "It's modern". The very annoying and useless mirrorless camera is possibly replacing the excellent dslr as we speak. Just because like. "It's modern". The very annoying and useless joint and crystal meth replaced the excellent moonshine. Just because like. "It's modern".

And if you really hate cooking when you get home from work, just put in half an hour or so making up a big pot of something on Saturday and Sunday, and have plenty of leftovers to last through the week.
