Yes, it is. I suppose he didn't want to die, in friendship. He just was able to accept the verdict. He didn't ask for anything. In the rivalry, he wanted to die, really, and I suppose, he thought Hawke wants to kill him. What else? Hawke seems never loved him. So: in the rivalry, I don't think he thought this is too much to ask. Sebastian was, who asked Hawke to kill him. In fact, he blackmailed Hawke... The first time I played, I Friendship romanced him and did not have Sebastian. Either side, Anders expected Hawke to execute him. It's abhorrent to expect a lover who's already lost so much to kill you. He expected, I said, but he didn't ask for it, only in the rivalry. In the rivalry, is this too big a request? I don't think so. (At least from his viewpoint ofc...) (Sebastian was only a side-note.) And of course, is your feeling, hard to argue with. I'm just was curious.

I dunno about easier. Rogues are just the least useful class in DA2 I found What?! A rogue Hawke decked out with Assassin and Shadow specs can take down the Arishok in about 10 seconds. Possibly faster. And an archer can do crazy amounts of damage.
Isabella needs baby-sititng, I'll agree, since her default specs are terrible, but both Varric and Sebastian do just fine most of the time.

It's impossible to achieve an exact class balance in any game. Some class will always be underpowered - but player preferences come into play here. For me, rogue is least useful simply because in combat I suck as rogue period. Arishok kicked my rogue's ass twice on normal mode before I took him out. That attack when he skews you on a pitchfork like a sausage murderous. It's tricky to form an opinion if rogues are weaker or stronger than other classes when I'm not good at playing them. Although, I found rogue to be far more effective and smoothly moving in DA2 than in DAO. I really like that duelist attack that transfers you across the battlefield and backstabs target. I can't wait to play next game as mage to show everyone who's boss. When I choose rogues for my party, I very heavily prefer archers to melee dd.

Now I feel even more of a doofus in figuring out which choices are better and which are worse because I'm lacking chunks of knowledge from DLC as I don't know how much they're intertwined.
Especially things with minor characters. For example Kerran. You can decide his fate by either persuading Cullen to let him stay with the Templars or get him kicked out. While he gets kicked out his family will struggle financially, I also get an impression that he isn't addicted to lyrium yet, which would save him from it. Then in act 3 his sister sends a letter saying how she's glad he's not with the Templars anymore because there are crazy things happening at the Order. It feels wrong at that point in time to get him fired, but it's really dubious what is better in the long run.

I always persuaded Cullen, because of Karen's family, and because, risky to cause suspicion, that he might have possessed.

I'm pretty sure I found him listing in my Evil PT

phoray Really? I must have missed/forgotten. I knew about unemployed, but not drunk. Ouch. It's too sad to see how all Templars tend to fall apart once they get kicked out of the Order. They tend to end up as beggars/drunks/in withdrawal. It's probably because they get taken to the Order as little kids and don't know alternate lifestyle. Plus it's considered an abysmal disgrace. It's one of the groups in the game I feel protective towards. Catilina Overall, helping him retain his position seems like a better choice. I feel the same way with Samson. It's a shame how the Chantry treats him like sehit, but he wants to return to the Order anyway.

The problem with Samson, that the other option is the Mercy toward the Alain and the others, who weren't hostile. Samson's problem seems lesser. He's not in danger without lyrium... seems, he looks already better.

I don't know why people aren't as annoyed by Samson's plot armor as I am. I KILLED HIM IN DA2. Cullen and co had him hung as a co conspirator. he said, "Didn't you see their bodies hanging in the gallows?" And then his scag nasty face shows up in DAI. And I can't even EXECUTe HIM. Even though his crimes are JUST AS BAD AS ERIMONDS.

phoray Umm plot armor? You mean plot hole? Yeah that sounds extremely annoying when you execute someone and they're back without an explanation. I find it unfair to execute people based on the future crimes they'll commit. I could never hand over Anders in the Awakening to the Templars because at that time I do not believe him to be a murderer. But, I can see how it's tempting for people. I wish executing Grace was an option. There is absolutely no guarantee that she's not shoving all blame on the dead group leader. She could be and later proves to be a blood mage. So justification right there to kill her, but I just want to stab her for Thrask. Personally, I did not see Samson as a conspirator. As far as judging his DA2 crimes, the reason he gets kicked out of the Order elicits sympathy. I thought his reason to return to the Templar order was selfish because he wanted to re-gain a source for his lyrium addiction. While that makes me dislike him, in DA2 I don't believe he deserves to be executed. In DAI I'd be more than happy to lump his head off.
