What the title says. Who was your favourite villain in Inquisition?

Erimond. He's such an absurdly evil ham, it makes every scene he's in

Erimond was certainly the most mwahaha villain of the entire series, almost a refreshing change when you consider all the complex, nuanced villains. I chose Alexius as I found him the most tragic villain in the series, and possibly of all the games I've played. So far, that is - I expect more and deeper heart-wrenching tragedy in DA4.

Calpernia, she is also my 3rd favourite DA antagonist after Loghain and Arishok
Alexius is a close second. It's a shame we could't get two of the best villians at the same time

I liked the Nightmare and wish it had a bigger role in Inquisition. It was way more foreboding than Corypheus and I was expecting it to be using Corypheus's fear for its own ends in a more subtle and puppet-master way. Erimond, Envy, and Alexius were also great for their own reasons and I imagine I'd like Calpernia a whole lot if I ever finished a playthrough with allied or conscripted Templars I guess your favorite villain just depends on the type of villain you like the best: The powerful, definitely evil presence baddy like The Nightmare or the Blight and Archdemon. The delightfully wicked or just plain arsehole types like Erimond, Florianne and Howe. Or the villain with a past and reason. The ones we're meant to sympathize with like Alexius, Calpernia, Samson, and Loghain. The problem with Corypheus, in my humble opinion, is he has a finger in too many pies. It's great if a story wants to start with a villain being shown one way and reveal him to be different than the viewer originally thgought, but Corypheus's character is too all over the place. Same with Meredith from DA2 But I wasn't asked to share my thoughts on the worst villain, so I'll just see myself out

Solas, with his bulging betrayal. Calpernia second, because she is magnetic and relatable. I can get behind transforming Tevinter into a meritocracy. (It's been a long time since I took the Templar route, don't remember if she wants to abolish slavery or not). I'd love to see her in DA4. Edit: Alexius is also worth a mention. I think he's one of the reasons why In Hushed Whispers is so compelling; he goes to terrible lengths to save his child. Is there anything any of us wouldn't sacrifice to do the same?

Erimond. He's such an absurdly evil ham, it makes every scene he's in Erimond makes me laugh aloud every single PT. I love that guy. As a former slave who eviscerates a slave trader for abusing his chattel, I'm guessing she'd love to see slavery eliminated. I'm in the opposite camp. I've never been able to complete a full PT after allying with the mages. I love Alexius, and the extra screentime for Dorian, but it just feels wrong, otherwise. This means that I've never experienced Samson's full story. I need to fix that, eventually. Edit: I voted for Alexius. Despite my having experienced his story fewer times, he left his mark. I completely understand why he started down his road. Once on the path, he realized he could never escape it. It's very easy to empathize with him.

You've sparked my memory that she not only kills the slave trader for mistreatment, but she buys all those slaves to free them. So you're probably right. Allying with the mages is my canon. Champions of the Just is decent, but In Hushed Whispers hits me in all the feels (still get teary eyed to.this.day. when I see Leliana's sacrifice or hear the song that plays). I edited my post to include Alexius as a favorite villain. That man really would do anything to save his child.

Gurd Harofsen is the real villain in Jaws of Hakkon.
I'm voting for Florianne, just because taking her down was so satisfying.

Indeed, as gruesome as Tranquility is, someone like Erimond? their just too insane and powerful to let them keep their powers...but that's me.
