Before I upgraded my PC, I used the free Windows Essentials 2012 package distributed by Microsoft. I found the movie maker very easy to use but now, Win 10 does not have it and WE2012 has been discontinued early this year.
I tried to find a way to get it and inevitably ended up with something that didn't work with Win 10. Although I uninstalled it through a complicated way, the program is read as already installed. That meant the registry already has an error. No help for it.
Anyway, can any one recommend a similar movie editor? Easy to understand and easy to use. I went on a search and downloaded a recommended free program on the geek website but I can make no head or tails of it. It throws prepackaged headings, etc, which I do not want. It's not easy to navigate either so I uninstalled. It's also annoying because it keeps throwing up messages to update / buy. Buy something I cannot understand and use? No.
P.S. Did more searching and digging. It turns out a free program from Microsoft has been turned into a pay-to-use. There is a bypass though which I found on YT so now I can use Win movie maker freely again.
