I am one Quarry short for A Superior Tower in Skyhold.
I have absolutely NO idea which region I failed to find a quarry in because they aren’t marked on the map until after you find them. And unless you’re near it that helpful ? won’t show on the maps.
Any ideas on how I can figure this out?
No way I want to run around every map for the umpteenth time.

Well it would seem I have a bug. Using the information Hanako supplied I had identified the missing Quarry, NE of Direstone Camp in the Emerald Graves. I've gone to where it is meant to be and circled outwards from that spot and nothing - no ? to alert me it's nearby. Infuriating I wondering why I was one Landmark short for this area as I'd covered every inch of the place. Going to google to see if it's a known bug or something. Update - yep, others had the same problem in Emerald Graves. So, now what do I do? Other than scream at the game?

Just go find one of the extra ones.

There are more than enough quarries to get all Skyhold upgrades. Just go find one of the extra ones. Now why didn’t I think of that (yes I’m being sarcastic). As stated, I have found EVERY last one other than the above. Unfortunately, they’ve been used up in those stupid Requisitions – which is why I have 3,000,000 Power and no Superior Tower. I'll take the Perk Forward Scouts and get more Landmarks.

There are a total of 11 quarries in the game. The Haven tutorial requisition is the only requisition that requires quarries to complete. Stop being a dick and accept the answer. A better courtyard requires 2 A Superior Tower requires 3 The Haven requisition requires 1 You claim 1 is bugged. That's a total of 7 quarries... there is still 4 more left. Go find them and stop complaining.

I just hate this quest. It's frustrating me. From my three finished games, I only once found the quarries and the logging stands. I don't have any patience for to search every piece of shits.
The Inquisition is the worst game in the series. And this quest one of the worst ones.

LOL - Mosaics is worse, you have to hope you've not missed a little nook or cranny somewhere, which is so easily done when there are multiple paths to reach the same place. And as I’m not someone who wants to sit there looking at guides every two minutes, nor do I have 30+ hours a week to spend gaming (RL work gets in the way), so, these types of quest can be somewhat frustrating yeah.

The competitors:
specialization training (if you found the pieces of shit, you will be master of your new shills) Wicked Hallashits shards bottles quarries/logging stands mosaics companions' shitquests (Varrics red-lyrium for example and Cassandra's group eliminate...)

I have to admit that most times I found quarries by accident and not where I would expect them to be. However, considering how underwhelming the upgrades to the Keep are and the fact they have nil significance to the plot, I wouldn't worry if I were you. The only really useful one was creating a herb garden, so I could have extra pots to grow plants in, which solved the constant need to hunt for elfroot.

The Courtyard did have some functionality, but very minor. Yeah, they should absolutely have had more game effects. Let's say the Healing/Sparring courtyard gave you either a boost to your attack or to your maximum health. The templar/mage tower should have offered quests and, depending on who you side with, either an amnesty (if you say, sided with the templars and built a mage tower) or commitment to an ideal (templar sided, templar tower)
