Went there when party was level 11/12, soon ran into monsters at level 16, decided to come back later. Now level 15/16, and I am meeting level 20/21 monsters!!!! Does the game adjust the levels to be 4 levels above you or what??

Sorry, are you referring to the Frostback Basin from Jaws of Hakkon?
JoH is meant to be completed either near the end of the game or after defeating Corypheus. Once you pass Level 20, the enemies just scale to your level.

Ah, Ok, that is disappointing, I thought that Trespasser was the only one that must take place after killing Cory

You can play JoH before you beat Corypheus, you just have to be very high level. It was meant to be very challenging.
If you want to play one of the DLCs a bit earlier, try The Descent. It scales to your level once you hit Level 12.

Ah the place where your enemies have millions of hit points and dish out damage that is in the hundreds. Wonderful Frostback Mountains.

Well, tried Descent: pretty much sucks dog crap! Orge Alpha to start off: immune to EVERYTHING, took 20 minutes to kill on Casual settings. I sure hope whoever came up with that idea was fired in the big purge a few months ago. Obviously this dlc is made for console warriors, NOT for CRPG players - it is just stupid combat and more stupid combat in endless waves. I think I'm gonna regret blowing $20 on this

To be honest I would play all the DLC after defeating Corypheus. It is slightly annoying when some dialogue doesn't seem to acknowledge it but that is a small price to pay.
There is no justification storywise for why you would go racing off into the Frostback Basin to investigate the fate of the first Inquisitor before the immediate threat of Cory has been dealt with and it does explain nicely what you might have been doing in the 2 years from defeating him until the Exalted Council.
Whilst there is a slightly greater justification for doing the Descent before defeating him, there is still no real connection with Cory, only the Breach, which you closed early on in DAI, so the disturbances relating to it again make more sense after he has opened it a second time.
Also, I find that if I have already done the majority of the content in the main game then I am already too overpowered for Corypheus at the end. If you take him on after the two DLC then he is going to be ridiculously easy. So the only real reason to do them first is if you particularly want Solas with you, not that his presence adds a great deal to either story.

I suggest you stay away from the Darkspawn nest battle then ... that initial Ogre is nothing compared to the Emissary Alpha.

It does take FOREVER to bring down that alpha, though fortunately the other ogres you encounter are less of hit point sponges.

I got SO TIRED of seeing all my mages attacks on the Orge being ignored : "IMMUNE", "IMMUNE", "IMMUNE" course,Wiki doesn't list Hit Points not looking forward to it at all though

One suggestion: try Cleansing Runes. I don't know if they programmed them to work against darkspawn in The Descent, but they do extra damage to Blighted creatures.
