Idk, man, I fucking love DAI. I love the big maps, I love running around the Hinterlands for hours, and I love collecting shit. I don't even mind the fetch quests. Apart from the ending, DAI is my favorite Dragon Age game so far. And no, I'm not being sarcastic. Now go and throw rocks at me lmao. I prefer Origins now to be honest. I think the story is more interesting and the writing is better. I also prefer the dark tone as well.

I'd love a Resmastered version with some of the missing Origins stories and companions that got cut from the final release.

That is true. It is, all the red lyrium stuff is pretty dark if you think about it. Lyrium growing from people bodies and transforming them to monsters? Its probably not the kind of "dark themes" they would like but DAI has dark tones in its history. (maybe some people want more realistics things that we saw day to day)

True true but I didn't like the story as much and the fetch quests got boring towards the end. I also made the mistake of playing the rogue as well, worst class in the game. I'm not saying the game isn't good, I'm just saying why I personally like Origins more now.

I ultimately prefer DAO because it holds up better over multiple replays, but DAI does a ton of stuff right. I genuinely enjoy the combat in both games. DAI's would be better if it were more like DAO's, but I'd take DAI's tactical mode over any game's action combat.

It's too clunky and slow for me to truly enjoy it. I think it is much better in inquisition.

DAI, on the other hand, I've played at least five times and I'm not getting tired of it at all, haha. I also could never really connect to my warden, as opposed to my Inquisitor, or even Hawke. Maybe it's the lack of a voice? I don't know. It's a good game, I just like DAI and its gameplay better. And combat is much more fun in DAI (besides being very limited when it comes to skills). Love solo-ing High Dragons with my two-handed tank!

I enjoyed DAI. In fact, I'm enjoying playing it right now. First time I ever played an elf (Dalish) and it's given me a whole new perspective on things - the world seems richer in some ways (more elven lore) but also provides this sense of my Inquisitor being an obvious outsider. Also, I easily get the power I need to proceed with very little effort so I'm not sure why you feel the game is gated.

I have a question for majesticjazzWhy are you here? On a Fan Forum for Dragon Age? This is a fan forum made by fans. You are obviously not a fan. You are a Witcher Fan. Can you go there, where the other Witcher fans hang out? I am.amuaed that 18 different people have now liked this post. Says something about that user's popularity.

I have six games going right now in DAI. I haven't played Origins since right before DA2 came out. Color me impressed. It's a bit scary, but nonetheless impressive. I normally like to "feel" that there is a second replay that is very different from the first one in the game while playing it. Inquisition never game me this feeling, Origin did, despite both campaigns being rather too long for me. Despite fairly limited everything "on paper" I've found the DA2 a champ for replays in the franchise.

Inquisition never game me this feeling, Origin did, despite both campaigns being rather too long for me. Despite fairly limited everything "on paper" I've found the DA2 a champ for replays in the franchise. I get bored easily playing a certain class for too long (I'm a completionist), and I hate having to restart, so I have playthroughs of each class going. So when I feel like playing a mage/necromaner when yesterday I was playing a two handed warrior I can and don't have to start the game all over again.

I haven't played Origins since right before DA2 came out. that's quiet impressiv I tried having 2 characters on the go at once but couldn't do it ended up giving up shortly after getting to Skyhold and just sticking with my canon run at that time afterwards. Since then I've just stuck with having the one on the go I just find the game too long to concentrate on more than one.

Just started another playthrough yesterday; I keep wanting to play as a male elf (did a female playthrough for the Solasmance, not keeping that as my canon though) but their bodies just look SO WEIRD. So, Qunari mage it is.

Must admit they're working well so far so I think it'll make for a good playthrough when I do get around to it. It won't be just yet as I'm holding off for a little while as I'll need the disc space for when Battlefront 2 comes out. Plus with the game taking as long as it does to get through sometimes I feel a little burnt out by the time I do reach the end so need a break from it. But I do intend to reinstall DAI once I'm finished with BF2 as I have an elven rogue and human mage I want to play. In fact the mods I'm testing atm are going to be for my human mage.

Because jealooooooous. well it's possible to make some nice quizzy's even without mods so it's not that bad also some mods work some don't so it doesn't always work out. For example I've not been able to get any mods working on MEA yet but thankfully the mods I installed for DAI work OK so I'm good with it. So wlil be good for when I do play that playthrough later. I only really took t omodding on DAI because of the rubbish hairstyles but I was pretty happy with the rest of the game. Thankfully MEA's are better so I don't have that problem there so not being able to mod for me is less of a problem.

I feel much the same. In the past, I think I felt the large maps were a bit daunting. However, I just spent hours completing every single quest in the Hinterlands (except three shards near the dragons that seemed difficult to get but that I may return for). In Crestwood right now and believe I will also systematically remove every single marker from my map. Once the big quests are done, it's really easy to jump to the next closest marker, then next and so on. Sure, some of it can be tedious, and I honestly can't imagine why the Inquisitor would possibly care about a lot of it (delivering flowers? retrieving a talking goat?) but, well, it's a game not RL. It's stuff that makes my Inquisition grow more powerful and also helps me level up.

Because Cassandra is not Ciri, Triss, or Yennifer. She is Cassandra; a badass warrior with lots of attitude and a soft, romantic side. Cassandra was not designed to appeal to your sense of aesthetic. She was designed to represent her story. Just stop with the "every game female should look like a supermodel" crap. "Get over it!" Protip: it's not very useful to seriously engage luzarius on this point. Cassandra's appearance seems to have triggered him somehow, and it's been his major topic on this board for years. I invested into a massive role play in regards to a Chantry loyalist in the first two games. Everything was set & ready. Cassandra was to be romanced per the role play, but I had no idea that they would make her purposely look mannish like that. It ruined everything. I can't romance a mannish chick, it's .. oh god... I'm not unreasonable though. She looks like a lesbian you know? I figured Cassandra would be AT least bisexual given how mannish she looks, but omg, she's not bisexual either... It makes no sense. I could've easily just rolled a woman hero and romanced Cassandra. She would be the mannish butch and my character would be the lipstick right? I have no problem role playing a lesbian woman, but Bioware screwed me on that too. Bioware thinks they're so cute messing with stereotypes, but I HATE IT. If she looks like a butch lesbian, CHANCES ARE SHE'S A BUTCH LESBIAN. I despise SJW's so much for this. It's good that I get to see them suffer until 2020 (SMILE) hahahahahah
