Binary Domain: Mass Effect meets Gears of War ( well sort of)

This passed under the radar for a lot of people, but it's actually a pretty great game
Now mind you, it's not an rpg, and combat ( though a lot of fun) is 80% of the game. Plays similar to Gears/ME II/3, minus the powers, but with much better gunplay and boss fights are spectacular.
Story is interesting in it's own right ( sort of takes a Blade runner turn, later on), but takes a longer to get going and companions are more a focus here.
You have Dan Marshall ( sort of easy going Chris Redfield), Big Bo( the "bromance" guy), Faye Lee( chinese team sniper, romance option), Cain( like Legion, but cracking jokes), and a couple of others.
You can direct their actions in combat, but differently than ME: based on their respect for you( how you perform and some actions/dialogue sequences) they can obey or tell you to blow.
Seriously if you're looking for ME fix, won't regret this...no filler/open world checklist: straightforward fun gameplay, interesting setting, likeable characters.
