Sigil of the Bronto is useful for warriors (especially if doing a solo warrior, all warrior team, or mageless team run.) Most guard building abilities increase by percent, rather than flat amount. So your guard gain by using skills like Warcry is exactly the same, but the amount of guard each one of those bars represents is doubled.

Yes. They are useful if used for the right class and specs.
I used the spell power sigils, which are completely OP for a fire mage. Fire Mines crit for crazy damage. Really fun to play.
I usully equip rogues with the deepstalker sigil. They're not supposed to be taking damage anyways. Sigil of Tusket is also useful for dps warriors early in the game.

I tried one once. Found it to be an active detriment to my playstyle.
I have no idea why they exist instead of the perfectly fine armor runes from the previous game.

I pretty much just sell them, since the drawbacks are too much for me. At least for the Inquisitor; some of the suggestions in this thread have me interested in trying a couple of the rest of the party, though.

Would also be good for late-game rogues with guard-on-hit gear, especially if you like to lead off with stealth attacks. Yes, I agree And the Sigil of Lyrium sounds like it would be great for a Knight Enchanter. What does a KE need more health, if they have an unbreakable barrier. Although I believe the drawback is that barriers decay at a fixed percentage rate, so with more barrier you need to do more damage to keep refilling it. The sigils are quite interesting. Like some of the special items, they're mostly useless for most characters, but for certain builds some of them can be advantageous.

As a Knight Enchanter you'd just need the Fade Shield passive and keep constantly attacking and you'd still be good. This vid shows my Arcane Warrior. Yes, I know it's MP, but the Fade Shield passive works the same way there as it does in SP Note: There are no Sigils in MP, but I was wearing the the Storm Pact Belt. All you need to do, is keep attacking and your Barrier stays up.

Well, considering I still don't have one that will run it at all.... no, no it's not. XD I modded DA:O/Awakening within an inch of its life, was *very* disappointed that (at the time) DA2 wasn't really mod-able, and... just ugh. I miss playing with mods.

There are a lot of ex-corporate i5s and i7s floating around in the used channels. You can pick one up for well under $200, and then pop in your existing vidcard. Or get a 750ti or some such if that's a problem too.

I bought a brand new computer just for DA:I and it ended up being almost as shitty as the computer I used to run DA:I on previously. Imagine my frustration when I spent 600 euros on bullshit that didn't do much to help the smoothness of my gameplay.

Some interesting possibilities here: some questions on how the calculations are done: if I have 200 armor and wear the Tusket sigil (-100% armor) is my armor now zero? general question does the percentage number multiply or add, i.e., if I have some stat at 20%, and the sigil increases that 10%, does that mean 22% or 30% 1) Sigil of the Chevalier still doesn't look like a good idea: 15% increase in front armor ain't that impressive, and -50% all other armor WILL be a problem when you ranged fighters get surrounded, and they will get surrounded occasionally! 2) Sigil of the Bronto : does seem like a good idea for a warrior, likely try it. Could be a problem against magical attacks though 3) Sigil of the Deepstalker: questions here: a) Are ranged attacks (arrow/bolt/spell) always considered Flanking attacks, or only if from the side/back of the particular enemy being targeted??? 4) Sigil of the Golem questions again: ZERO Critical chance?? Doesn't everybody have some critical chance, which can be increased by armor/weapons 5) Sigil of the Giant: -100% Cooldown times. GREAT, that means ZERO cooldown times A few of the others would be useful for killing specific dragons, i.e. +Fire, +Spirit. +Cold; but then you'd need to remove them

Besides, my current PC is so bad, I've had continuous problems with it that I'd be better off just buying a whole new damn computer.

That's why I suggested just grabbing one of the used corporate machines.
How'd you get ripped off on that new PC, anyway? €600 should have got you more power than DAI would need.

Q1: if I have 200 armor and wear the Tusket sigil (-100% armor) is my armor now zero? Q2: general question does the percentage number multiply or add, i.e., if I have some stat at 20%, and the sigil increases that 10%, does that mean 22% or 30% Q3: 5) Sigil of the Giant: -100% Cooldown times. Q1: Yes. It removes your armor. Probably only useful for a mage to use, especially a KE who uses Barrier for defense.
Q2: I think any increase is calculated from the base number, so it should stack to +30% of your base number. Someone else likely knows more about the numbers than me.
Q3: I think this one should be +100% cooldown ie doubling the length of cooldown since the other attribute listed for it is +50% mana/stamina regeneration rate. Sigils have 1 beneficial and 1 detrimental trait. They won't both be beneficial. It could be a typo in the text either in game or on the wiki. Unless someone has tested it and it really does eliminate cooldowns?
