While looking up information of a specific content update of Star Trek Online, I was surprised to notice it had been three years since the release had been deployed. To explain, I had been waiting for Cryptic to implement a content update something like this, to make the Delta Quadrant species playable: Some of this is my personal speculation, some of it already exists ingame on NPCs. I expected this update to be released either with the Delta Rising update or shortly afterwards. A year max is my rough estimate as to how long it should have taken, so my interpretation is that as it hasn't been done in three years means it won't be happening. The STO playerbase disapproves of content based on Voyager, because they believe it is a horrible series/the worst Trek series. Which got me wondering, have the Developers used this as a reason not to complete the DQ update as I believed they would/should? I am not satisfied with this failure to provide content, as I don't think it should be excluded just because it isn't popular. Granted, not everyone would use the options provided, but some might if they had the ability to. From my perspective, it's like the players find these proposals so offensive that they don't want it to happen so they don't have to share the game with DQ characters and remind them of what they dislike.
