So what do we want to do? Review the rules? See if we can include some ideas from Gervaise? Or just play again with the same rules? I know I'm taking a break, but I wanted to try only allowing hints that could be applicable to two or more characters. I wondered how it would change the game.

I know I'm taking a break, but I wanted to try only allowing hints that could be applicable to two or more characters. I wondered how it would change the game. We'd have to tweak the roles to provide that information. Also, I'm concerned that style is outing the invest too easily. But I don't mind trying it out for a bit.

Actually if Pela is driving, maybe she doesn't want to make too many changes yet? What do you think, Pela? If I am GM, then I will be fine with making changes to the new game if everyone is on board with them. And I'm definitely open to any suggestions as well.
Before I get into these changes however, I do want to confirm whether it's okay for me to be GM. I don't want to start making changes to a house if I don't have a key.
ETA: I remembered that some of you including dragon have been having issues with notifications in the thread. So I'll tag dragontartare just in case this problem is still happening.

I'd like to play and am happy with you as GM, Pela.
As for changes to the rules, the Citadel has always allowed hinting, it is just that people seemed reluctant to do so unless absolutely necessary. This is largely because it is likely to flag you up to the spies if you are a role they would like to eliminate early.
The reason I introduced them onto Wolf Hunt in the way I did is that technically hinting was forbidden on Skyhold but people always seemed to find a way around it. Also on both Citadel and Skyhold some hints were only obvious to seasoned players of the actual games. So I thought giving people background histories and confining hints to information there would be fairer to anybody not familiar with the characters from multi-player or the comic series. However, I think it is too early to say how successful my experiment has been as everyone is getting used to the concept and how best to play it. I've already pointed out that last game might have turned out differently had I given Dragon more time to notify me whether or not she wish to use her ability as Calix on the second night.
So essentially it is up to you whether you think introducing something similar on Citadel would be a good thing or not.

Dammit! No, I'm evidently still not getting notifications. Thank you for tagging me. I really need to remember to check here at least once a day. I've already toggled the bookmark and that didn't fix the issue like it did last time. I was actually wondering whether people are bored with these roles and want a change? Maybe focus on minor characters from the trilogy instead of Shepard's crew? The first post could include character descriptions like wolf hunt that hints need to be based off of. We could keep the rules the same initially and then change them later once we gain more experience with the wolf hunt ruleset.

And since Conrad and Emily Wong are minor characters we could also keep them on the list if we want. If everyone is fine with a change of scenery, I've spent some time working on a possible character list already:
Aria T'Loak - Could have the same role as Jack.
Nyreen - Can have the same role as Garrus
Niftu Cal (Volus;Biotic God) - Can be a role blocker.
Kirrahe - Could have the same role as Mordin
Dr. Michel - Could have the same role as Chakwas
Conrad - is Conrad
Matriarch Aethyta (Liara's other parent) - Could have the same role as Wrex
Kal'Reegar - Could have the same role as Grunt.
Oriana Lawson - Could have the same role as Miranda
Emily Wong - is Emily
Mouse - Could be a new investigative role; Each night Mouse tracks a player to see who they visited during the same night.
Alternatively:
Feron- Could be a more traditional invest role, like Liara
Glyph- Can be like Legion or Tali
ETA: Remembered Nyreen, so edited this list accordingly.

Would we stick to some roles being “indoctrinated” to form the bad team, or come up with always evil roles? I liked that a Gervaise made Sera’s role an evil one. We’ve had Conrad be evil, but his role could be grey or neutral as well.

Yeah, if we are doing this we will add descriptions for each roles so it will be easier for players who are not familiar with these roles. It will be basically similar to how it is in the Wolf Hunt game. Also, since we do have Always Good roles in game, we could add roles like Conrad -who are Neutral or Always Evil- later on down the road as well. Roles like Conrad are fun to play, so I would not be opposed to this. Also forgot about the Sign Up Sheet. 1. Space Cowboy 2. romice 3. Moonae 4. fylimar 5. gervaise 6. Catilina 7. maybe basia 8. maybe Obsidian Gryphon 9. maybe dragontartare If I've forgotten anyone please let me know. , Oh and I will add a more detailed role list later on tonight. It will probably be edited into this post.

dragontartare has got a point but it could be difficult to think up of different abilities. Who is Aria? Underworld boss, has underworld resources, she kills at will. Would it be plausible to make her role fluid (multi abilities)? Protective, Investigative (assuming the role of Liara), the other assassination. GM rolls to decide which ability (just one) she will use for each round. Nyreen, exiled turian biotic. Considering she sacrificed herself to save people, make her a sacrificial lamb, akin to EDI. Biotic God, if you let him take point, he gets bounced by Wasea. Make him a shield? Kirrahe, hold the line. Make him a defender. He has a chance to guess which player is the hero. If he guess right, he and the hero are allowed to communicate via PM to try to ferret out the spies. If he guess wrong, the spies know who he is. Glyph organises a great party. Have the drone serve up a drink to a player (one chance) and render that player drunk for one round; no voting. If spy, unable to function. Can't think of any new stuff for the rest. And yes, count me in for the next round.

I was lying in bed thinking of other asari roles the other night, so Liara isn't alone.
Samara - A justiciar who can guess once per game as to a player's innocence by submitting the names of 2 candidates to the GM. One will be cleared. If both are spies the GM can use the excuse that another role blocked the investigation (not sure who yet but you need a valid excuse) This then will confuse the spies as to Liara's identity if Samara can say someone is clean.
Morinth, always a spy - Morinth can protect the identity of one spy per game, for the entirety of the game, by shielding their indoctrination. Therefore if Liara asks she gets told they're clean. OR Morinth can morph into the spy accused during the day, and take the hit for them. The heroes will never know this happened and the 'eliminated' player will continue to vote behind the scenes. Morinth will vote still, but just for show. This may all become obvious as time goes on but it could be interesting.
Aria - Her goons are out in force and are very menacing. Once a game she can ask a question of someone and they'll be so terrified they'll have to answer honestly. Not 'are you a spy' but more subtle than that.
Ehh these may not work but I thought I'd share. I'd suggest a slow change and not throwing it all out at once. Many of you are getting your heads around wolf hunt as it is.

Ah, thanks for the input guys, your suggestions helped a lot . And Arcadia, I was actually thinking of about how Samara and Morinth could possibly be added later on in the game awhile ago. I suppose great minds think alike. So taken what you guys have said/suggested here's the revised List. I've also tried to throw in new abilities and old ones for balance reasons. FeronFeron is a drell information trader that was hired by Liara to help get Shepard -who is dead- from the Shadow Broker. Feron is also employed by the Shadow Broker during this time, but ends up leaving The Shadow Broker and his deal with the Collectors in order to help Liara. In turn, the Shadow Broker decides to punish Feron by capturing and torturing him. Eventually Liara and Shepard rescues Feron from the Shadow Broker during the events of the Lair of The Shadow Broker DLC. As an information trader, Feron is capable of acquiring intel of just about anyone. Every night, Feron will receive information about the player of their choosing to discover whether they are an agent or not. Should they successfully acquire information about an agent and vote them off the next day, Feron will gain the ability to bug the spies, which will allow Feron to gain a hint regarding one of the remaining spy's role. Mouse
As a kid, Mouse was a homeless human child that traveled in the air ducts, or ventilation system throughout the Citadel. He would often give Thane information about his assassaniation targets with his experience as quiet child in the ducts and shadows. Mouse as an adult lives within the Zakera Ward of the Citadel and has ample expertise in tracking numerous targets. Shepard meets Mouse as an adult while helping Thane track his son, Kolyat, down. Your experience from childhood has granted you the ability to stalk your targets without getting caught. Every night, Mouse can track a player to see who they visited during the same night. As an investigative role Mouse is always Good, and will not be in the same game as Feron. (Tip: Mouse is capable of catching spies if he so happens to stalk one of them during the night. However, he needs to pay attention to who dies in the narrative in order to deduce whether the person he stalked is a spy. With this ability, Mouse is also capable of figuring out protective, killing, or role blocking roles depending on if they successfully used their ability while Mouse while was tracking them. ) Dr. Chloe Michel Dr. Michel is a human who works within the Med Clinic in the Wards of the Citadel. Coming from two parents that were medics within the Alliance, Michel ultimately decided to follow in their footsteps as an adult. However, Michel prefers to work within a practice rather than in the military branch. This lead her into opening her Med Clinic. In the past Michel was also fired from another practice she was in employed in for giving her patients medical supplies for free. Shepard crossed paths with Dr. Michel while looking for Garrus. Michel also aided an injured Tali who was shot due to intel she had received that involved Saren and his involvement with the Attack on Eden Prime and the Reapers. During the events of Mass Effect 3 she can also join Shepard's crew. Michel is also widely known to have a bit of a crush on Garrus. Dr. Michel's experience as a doctor has granted her the valuable skill of healing. Each night, Dr. Michel can choose to protect a player by healing them. She cannot heal the same person consecutively, but is allowed to self heal once per game. If Dr. Michel is Evil However, once per game she will have the ability to poison a player instead of her self heal ability. Should the player become poisoned, they will die the next night. Kal'Reegar Kal'Reegar is a male quarian who is apart of a squad of marines for the Migrant Fleet. He is specifically tasked to protect Tali during the events of Haestrom during Mass Effect 2. During Haestorm, not only is Reegar willing to distract a fully armored Geth Colossus in order to help Shepard and Tali, but he also gives tactical advice to Shepard regarding how to take on the Geth. Kal' Reegar also believes that the quarians going to war with the geth will do more harm than good when asked, but will be able to carry on his military duties should he be ordered to. As a seasoned marine, Kal'Reegar is well suited in watching a person's six. Every night, Reegar can choose to protect a player. He is free to protect the same player throughout multiple nights, but he will not be able to protect himself. Nyreen KandrosNyreen is a female turian and leader of the Talons mercenary group. Nyreen came from a military background, but had to eventually leave her roots when she first discovered her biotic abilities. This eventually lead her into becoming a mercenary and being drawn to Omega. She was eventually drawn to Aria as well, but their relationship fizzled due to differences. Even as a mercenary, Nyreen always had a moral compass on her shoulders, while Aria did not. Her strong morals eventually lead Nyreen into becoming leader of the Talons and reshaping them into fighting Cerberus and protecting civilians when Cerberus took over Omega in Mass Effect 3. With weapons and biotic abilities in tow, Nyreen is not afraid of taking down people who she deems as a threat, either to the innocents or to the agents. Once per game, Nyreen can choose a player to eliminate during the night. Aria T'Loak. Aria is a centuries old Asari biotic that rules the asteroid station of Omega with an iron fist. With this in mind, Aria is a rather ruthless character, especially compared to her former flame Nyreen or a Paragon Shepard. Aria is definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty and has an array of connections and resources for her to utilize as she wishes. Her most famous lines out the trilogy is "I Am Omega" and "Don't F*** With Aria" Her run ins with more prominent characters in the trilogy include Shepard,Liara, Mordin ,and possibly Wrex. As Omega's crime lord, Aria has unlimited resources at her disposal. Once per game, she can choose to use or mimic any ability in the game. This includes roles from the previous games and even in the Skyhold/Wolf Hunt games. MorinthMorinth is a centuries old asari and daughter of Samara. She is also an Ardat-Yakshi, which means she has a genetic condition in which she kills the mates she chooses to bond/meld with. After the deadly melding, most Ardat-Yakshi get an rush of euphoria that could lead to a dangerous habit. Unlike her sisters, Morinth did not want to stay in a monastery to prevent from killing people. Morinth actually enjoys melding with her mates, which has eventually lead to Samara becoming a justicar in order to stop her. Morinth also has the power to persuade and control most people to do as she pleases. Twice per game, Morinth can choose a person she wants to control. If the control is successful, she can then persuade her controlled person to use their ability either on another player or herself. Morinth is a Neutral Evil role, which means she will not be in the agent chat, but must work with the spies in order for her to win. Morinth wins if all Heroes are eliminated. Captain KirraheKirrahe is a salarian military officer who is a part of a covert operations force that is called the Special Tasks Group (STG). Shepard first meets this character during the events of Virmire, where he and his force were assigned to investigate the planet. Kirrahe is charismatic leader that inspires his group and Shepard's to "hold the line" and make any noted sacrifices if necessary. Kirrahe has also worked with Mordin in the past regarding the genophage, but they have not always met eye to eye. Mordin specifically has called him "a bit of a cloaca" (a salarians' butt and private regions). Nevertheless, both characters actually respect one another a great deal. Once per game, Kirrahe can make an attempt to covertly communicate with another Hero through PM. However, he will have to be right about the selected player's alignment and role. If he is wrong, he will be caught by the agents and indoctrinated. This will result in him joining the indoctrinated ranks as a protective role, which allows him to protect one of his accomplices once per game. If you wish to activate Kirrahe's ability, please contact the GM in order for them to set up the chat.
