Title, what are some game series that you would like to see make a glorious return? For me personally, I've been itching for a new, proper Fable game. Fable: the Journey was crap and deserves all the hate it gets, but Fable 1-3 were still quite good even if flawed. They were roughly cut diamonds, still valuable albeit with a few blemishes, but with some refinement, can become proper gems. Fable 2 in particular was one of the most fun RPGs of the 2000-2010 decade, in my opinion.
Also Dead Space. Dead Space 3 wasn't a terrible game, it just wasn't a horror game. The Awakening DLC did some good to bring back the horror atmosphere, but by that point the game was on life support and the series as a whole was taking its last breaths due to 3's poor sales and reception, leaving the story on a massive cliffhanger that begs to be finished. Dead Space 1 and 2 though were fantastic, if flawed (2 in particular strayed from the horror part toward the end, but the environments and enemy variety and design were top notch and the necromorphs themselves were perfectly grotesque). A proper sequel that drops the co-op, drops the microtransactions, drops the universal ammunition, and reinforces the horror factor would be 10/10.

Dead Space should lie forever. The Hitman franchise, too - that gameplay got raped after the first two games. And probably Sim City - not really a good sign when the competition starts to make the better equivalent.

Let's go obscure.
Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.
The world of Arcanum was fantastic, the deep lore and quasi-historical references were great.
The actual game itself...not so much. Terrible in presentation and sound, graphically outdated, combat-wise it was terrible, and some character builds honestly sucked.
Can do a lot with the setting and the ideas of it.

Half-Life, although we all know that ain't happening. I'd also like to see Prey, but not Arkane Prey, a sequel to the actual first game made by Bethesda, it was a really different type of game, but that ain't happening either. Also Kingdoms of Amalur, although I didn't super enjoy the story and the game had its flaws, it was really fun and good in general. I always saw it as a diamond in the rough. Of course no list would be done without adding STALKER to it. For the love of god, can someone pick up that franchise and make a new game?

I would not mind a decent RPG in star Treck franchise, but I dunno if it qualifies as an answer to this question, because I don’t think there were ST RPGs, save for the mmo?
Other thing that I would not mind is some sort of re-imagining of the Kotor-Swtor franchise, to remake Swtor as an sp, and go from there.
I would not have minded more games set in Technomancer-MWL verse.
Arcanum, Tyranny and JE are single hit wonders that I wish to see back from the dead.

The Celtic and Irish folklore-inspired fictional universe is honestly pretty great, in some ways better than the likes of Dragon Age and The Witcher. It was constructed by R.A. Salvatore, if anyone is familiar with his fantasy novels. Todd McFarlane's artwork and visual style is always a plus as well, giving it a bit of a comic book feel. STALKER does need to return, I agree. The game Survarium is supposed to be a sort of pseudo-spiritual sequel, but it's just not the same as a proper Stalker sequel.

Survarium was kind of aiming to be that, according to the devs very early on development. But it's an MMO of sorts, no chance on hell it'd ever be similar. Last thing I heard about the game was that it was an unoptimized, den of cheaters, pay 2 win garbage. And I never again heard anything from that game, nor I cared to. Then people thought that Escape from Tarkov would be the other "spiritual successor" It's like they think that just because the devs are Russian (and Stalker devs were Ukranian if memory serves) and the games have similarities, they're gonna be another Stalker of sorts. I think the actual owner of the Stalker IP never sold the IP, because he's a greedy individual that asks for a hilarious price, so nobody cares about buying it. Company is over, and yet he still wont sell the damn thing. It kind of pisses me off. Then again, maybe nobody wants to buy it.

They haven't done anything since 2015 (and even then their last release was a remake of a decade-old RTS), and of the 2 companies that formed during their layoffs and closure, one of them turned out to be running a fraudulent Kickstarter.

The game or your comment? I'm confused Yeah, reading it after myself, I'm not surprised. It's confusing as fuck, but I genuinely do not like the story (won't comment on the gameplay, but what I've seen isn't very impressive either) when comparing it to the masterpieces that was the first, and even the second game. Mind you, the second had a bit of a limp to it in terms to gameplay, but it still walked fine.

Welp, busting out my "things that need to count to 3" list.
Half-Life The Darkness Prototype
and I'll add
Starcraft 1-era Starcraft (minus the Kerrigan fetish)
The real Star Wars (which includes Force Unleashed 3).
And not strictly games, but returning to "should count to 3:"

I thought it was good, but I don't really have a formulated opinion on the franchise. I did watch AJ review on the third (because I find his reviews hilarious), and apparently it was a let down.

Aye. I never really bothered with it. I will admit to only having the story movie and trailers to go by, but it's just... It doesn't seem to carry the same spirit. It's just a GTA clone now.
