If you don't have any favourite superhero movies, that's fine! If you do have a few favourites, try ranking them here. I know, lists can be tricky, but I thought it might be more enjoyable than just listing all of your favourites without any order. Just to clarify, they don't have to all be Marvel, they can be DC, Fox, etc. Riddick -movie John Preston -movie Sherlock Holmes -books The GUYVER -comics Tron -TV, Movie(s) and comic -JUST Tron himself no one else in franchise. ------------------------------------------- Vision -Marvel Black Bolt -Marvel Black Panther -Marvel Groot -Marvel Nick Fury -Marvel Adam Warlock -Marvel Dr. Doom -Marvel ------------------------------------------- Phantom Stranger -DC Spectre -DC Green Lantern -John Stewart version -DC The Question -DC Raven -DC Batman -DC Darksied -DC -one time only though.

Hard to say, but it probably goes something like: Logan Iron Man Ant-Man Spiderman: Homecoming Suicide Squad(I know. The key to enjoying shitty movies is loving the source material and understanding that the film is gonna be motherfucking garbage before you go see it.) Thought that was the key to disliking movies, because you know, you're standards have been raised. ie. Yes! I don't get it either. If you know a movie is going to be "mother fucking garbage", first of all - do you really enjoy it? How, because you could preload your snark cannon and lambast it? While that may be entertaining, it is not watching the movie and it did not make the movie better. ??????

The key to enjoying shitty movies is loving the source material and understanding that the film is gonna be motherfucking garbage before you go see it.) Thought that was the key to disliking movies, because you know, you're standards have been raised. ie. Having read all Spider-man comics up until just past Clone Saga, the Spider-Man movies are all A1 trash to me. With Homecoming leading the junk pack (it's not even a Spider-Man movie, he's basically Iron Man Jr in an Iron Man suit now in another progressive Disney movie with Lego Star Wars product placement. Such a slap in the face. Not even the awesomeness of Michael Keaton can save this movie). "Iron Man Junior" is... a fairly apt description of Peter Parker. He's always been hyper-intelligent, going all the way back to his introduction in 1962. I think the simple fact that he invented the web shooters and the web formula is evident of this. Also, Parker Industries in the comic continuity is about on-par with Stark Enterprises in terms of technological advancement, being a tech supplier to SHIELD. Tony giving him a suit is also a nod to the comics, since Tony did give Peter the Iron Spider suit during the events of the Civil War arc. The biggest flaw with Spider-Man: Homecoming, in my opinion, is changing Flash Thompson from a jock bully to a scrawny Indian kid who's supposed to be an academic rival to Peter. Flash was never a genius on Peter's level in the comics, and if Flash doesn't develop like how he does in the comics, then there won't be any chance of an Agent Venom adaptation, since Flash was Agent Venom before the Venom symbiote went back to Eddie Brock. Also, Agent Venom and Guardians of the Galaxy crossover. That shit was awesome in the book.

Pitch Black is legit great movie ( though not sure if a superhero), seriously rank it next to likes of Alien. Love the cast, direction, visuals, everything about it.

Best Superhero of all. He's also more powerful than >99% of the other people here. And he's got nothing on his father and his rival.
I prefer God-Alien Monkey People Space Warrior Pirates and Martial Artists to Superheroes though.

I love superheroes so much that I don't know if I can rank them. I can however list the ones I think are really horrible in my opinion. Thor Thor 2 Superman 3 Iron Man 3 Daredevil Batman Forever (Jim Carey was awesome though.) Spider-man 3 Hulk Batman and Robin Avengers/Avengers AoU Justice League Fantastic Four RoS Fantastic Four (reboot) X-men 3 X-men Origins
I'm on the fence about Suicide Squad, Blade 3, Iron Man 2, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Superman Returns. While I think Returns is a horrible Superman movie, I think it is actually a pretty good superhero movie. I'm also unsure if I should classify TLoEG as a superhero movie.
I've only seen parts of the Amazing Spider-man movies so I can't really comment on those.

Batman Begins 1st Guardian of the Galaxy 2nd Captain America: The First Avenger 3rd/4th Winter Soldier 3rd/4th Iron Man 5th
None of the rankings are necessarily about them quality of the movies themselves. I personally enjoy when things are setup like Batman Begins, Dark Knight might offer some of the better performances, however I enjoy the arc in Begins more, I enjoy watching the growth of Bruce.
First Avenger on one hand is something I can watch over and over. It has some themes that resonate well with me and they are done really well. Same goes for Winter Soldier, I am pretty big on believable and good bromances.
Guardians of the Galaxy is it's own kind of thing, some of the things that I enjoy in it are the kind of things I really do not want to see in other movies *cough* Star Wars *cough*.
Iron Man is bit similar to Batman Begins, but not quite as good.

I like Man of Steel. But thats the only superhero movie I like, I absolutely loathe the genre and also the individual films. I think my main problem with Man of Steel is that I found myself rooting way more for Zod. Despite Zod's villainous actions (which he acknowledges can be considered cruel and violent), his sole motivation was to protect his people and save his race from extinction. It's an understandable and sympathetic goal, even if he's perfectly willing to sacrifice humanity itself to ensure the resurrection of the Kryptonian people. Superman on the other hand, comes across as a bit of a blank slate throughout the DCEU films. It's far harder to really understand him and why he continues saving people (especially when he looks constantly miserable doing it). Aside from saving the bus when he was a kid, we never get a sense that saving people is an intrinsic part of his nature, rather than something both his fathers want him to do.

I think my main problem with Man of Steel is that I found myself rooting way more for Zod.Agreed, Michael Shannon is an excellent actor. This flick was when I felt the agony & ecstasy of the DC universe first hand. It seemed pretty decent for the first act, but as a big fan of the 1978 Donner movie, I had pretty high expectations. Man o' Steele not only began to spiral into a cluster-fuck of idiocy and self-parody, but I honestly don't know if it surpasses the Singer re-boot with Kevin Spacey. The tornado scene was mind-numbingly dumb and the ending was so stupid I was speechless leaving the theater. This movie has prevented me from giving any DC movies a real shot, other than WW which was kinda corny but overall pretty cool and fairly true to the books
