Would not override my "canon" or favorites, but non-romancable characters I wanted/would like to pursue: DAO: Wynne, Teagan, Nathaniel... and maybe Seneschal Varel. (I'm content with DA2-Anders, comes with Justice side-bonus ) Oh, and also maybe Jowan. DA2: Aveline and Varric. ...With Sebastian I'd like to romance him without needing to kill Anders. DAI: Ser Morris, Dagna and Krem. Maybe Cole. It'd also be nice if Cullen and Solas weren't so restricted.
I don't mind being a certain gender to romance anyone, but I can understand the frustration of limited options with a preferred gender. Race-restricting is just silly.Damn. I forgot the Seneshal too. When my Warden asked him what a Senechal does and he gave a short list and added something like, 'Whatever you need him to do.' I was like ... YES! I got something I need done... But yeah, I'm bad. It was a shame he was lost.

DAO: I'd try Tamlen, Jowan and Ser Gilmore at least once. XD I know they're doomed from the start, but think of the tragedy! DA2: Jethann. Nah, in all seriousness, I'd probably go for Keran. DAI: Felix (the tragedy! Again!), Sir Barris or Fairbanks. However, I say that even if I'd most probably end up with my usual romances. (Alistair, Zevran, Anders, Fenris, Dorian, Cullen) I'm a weak soul. XD I used a mod where Ser Gilmore was a companion and romance-able but I couldn't go through with it due to crushing on Zevran and Alistair. Ser Gilmore got really mad about it too. DAO - Teagan and Duncan would have been interesting but knowing how badly Teagan aged makes it all less appealing. Awakenings - Nate! DA2 - Carver (except he's my brother) and Seamus DAI - Felix, Fairbanks, and goofy Sutherland (who is a favorite of mine)

Dragon Age Origins had me crushing on Duncan hard. Even if it was an inevitable tragedy, I'd probably still go for it. Cullen back then would have been the one my Surana pined for. Dragon Age Inquisition has me mostly content with the choices but if I had to pick, I'd be curious to see a romance for Barris, Krem and Dalish or Skinner. Man! I forgot Duncan! He was all kinds of hot, wasn't he? Yeah, him and Sten, I should've thought of those two, along with Cullen. Saw the cutscene with him killing off darkspawn trying to ambush him. Ended up muttering, "Goddammit, stupid, unavailable crush!" And I think I can see why some people would want to romance Sten! (I found an insanely well written fanfic Duncan romance on AO3 if you want to look. The author is Ambrosya Sylva)

I hear Blackwall/Rainier was supposed to be for those players who crushed on Duncan, but MAN they didn't even come close. B/R was such a creepy m-effer, I could not stand that dirtbag. *shudders* Sten was awesome. I love his deadpan comments, and every now and then he'd come out of his way too serious moods. I loved the Arishok in DA2 also. He was quite nice. I would love to check out that romance, if it isn't too long. (sometimes too much reading plays havok on my eyes. It's worse with books I can barely get through a paragraph these days, which really breaks my heart because in my yuounger days I was a very avid reader. )

Blackwall has way too low self esteem while Duncan would be unrepentant in his decisions. I almost would have considered a romance with Sten, but his banter with Morrigan about what sex with him would be like sent me running for the hills. Hopefully, you can zoom in on the font on a computer or phone? The shortest story is Carnal Knowledge from an Amell's viewpoint while the other is a three part work that gives a glimpse into Duncan's thoughts. It is really, really excellent writing in nailing each character's thoughts and dialogue.

Blackwall cameoff as a whinny, selfrightous B-I-T-C-H. He wallowed in self pity and he was a complete tool. IMO I felt no sympathy for him whatsoever and he put my inquisitor in a postion that I could not forgive. Duncan, on the other hand, was duty driven and honestly felt bad for some of the actions he felt he had to take. I believe he had a conscience, but he also had a strong sense of what had to be done and he was brave and dedicated to his task. His was good looking also, very good looking. LOL...Yeah, that conversation made me chuckle, but it also had me wondering how much of that was said for the shock value and if he was just pulling her leg...which made me curious to find out! Cause I can be quite nosey at times. I don't have a cell phone, I'm on a computer, so I should be able to adjust the font. I wonder if I could adjust the color of the print and background too. I find this white on grey, here at the forum, easier on the eyes than a black on white screen.

I always wished Awakenings was longer so we could get a more drawn-out relationship between female Cousland and Nathaniel. I think that would have been a great romance if it had been a full game. I think Nathaniel comes round a bit too quickly for my liking, which is maybe due to Awakenings being an expansion and not a full game.
The idea scenario for me would be Cousland and Nathaniel showing a real dislike for each other at the start, Nathaniel being conscripted into the Wardens against his will and resenting Cousland for it, and eventually growing to trust each other. Which is essentially what happens, just in a more rushed way than would be ideal. And I always thought Nathaniel was a bit too eager too quickly to accept joining the Wardens. It's not exactly a pleasant life!

Varric, Varric, Varric and maybe Varric. My Warden would get on a boat to Kirkwall and find Varric, Hawke would fall in love with Varric, and my IQ would too. There's gonna be a cat-fight between them here. Also Aveline, Krem and Scout Harding. Other than that I'm good with the options. OMG NO I FORGOT LOGHAIN. I want him. Don't judge me mmmkay? So my Warden gets Loghain then and can leave Hawke and my Inky to fight over Varric.

Esp when Blackwall is wearing the "skins" armor...so weird looking. I would never have thought Blackwall looked/acted anything like Duncan, who I like even more after reading "The Calling".

I would LOVE to romance Krem, with either a male or female of any race. And Cullen with a male, but his romance would need to be about him discovering that guys are attractive as well

Didn't they say Blackwall was originally intended to be a dwarf in the first place? And sorry, not sure what dwarfish you're talking about. Could you explain further? It does sound hilarious though.

OMG So much Blackwall hate!! I like him and wish he were available to my character. I wish the writers had spent more time outlining his story, too. Characters like Sten and Fenris also did deplorable things (murdered lots of people) but we mostly forgive them b/c we were given LOTS of backstory, heard their take on things, and so on. I think poor Blackwall just suffered, like most DAI characters, from lack of time and good writing. I can see the similarity to Duncan phyiscally; both are dark, beardy, older gentlemen. I do find both particularly good-looking, two of the few DA characters that are genuinely my type. (Cullen, Barris, Alistair, etc. are lovely but too "lovely" for me.) Personality wise they do seem different. Duncan seems more thoughtful and polite, perhaps a bit shy if you flirt with him (which I did as a female dwarf noble I think LOL). Blackwall is forthright and grumbly and has no bones about stating his own mind.

It was the way they thought things had to be. Blackwall/Rainier did it for money and he involved his loyal men to do his ladder climbing dirty work. The guy was scum. I'll never feel anything but loatheing for that slimeball. Also, Duncan was way better looking and honorable. *sigh*

I actually like Morrigan a lot more in Inquisition than in Origins, so assuming she and the Warden aren't together I wouldn't have minded her to have been an option

Let's see. Origins: Morrigan with female Warden. In fact I did romance her with a mod, but it wasn't the same. Jowan. Wanted to make him a companion so badly. Could have been another way to learn blood mage spec. Awakenings: Nate, my Warden killed your father...does that mean we still have a chance? DA2: Varric. Cullen. Self explanatory. DAI: Actually the characters that weren't originally planned to be romanceable that I would have certainly pined after were made romances. So good job Bioware.

I think sometimes we take the physical side of the relationship for granite, but in this case, the Warden will have to take care of her own physical needs. I just think Shale is hilarious, and I wanted my Warden to flirt with her and have the emotional side of the relationship. Of quartz, it's possible that Shale has no interest in relationships of any kind anymore, and learning that would be more basalt in the wound for my Warden who is already pretty messed up and coal-hearted to others.
