Here's my 3 options, since atm I already have guard on hit on my bow-yes, I tend to be paranoid:
10% to use Hidden Blade with 4 added hits
10% chance to inflict Chain Lightning at 75% weapon damage
10% to apply Walking Bob for 5 seconds, with detonation of 100% weapon damage.

Hidden Blades tends to be my go-to if I have it.

Fade-Touched Plush Fustian Velvet has 10% for hidden blades 5 hits. Get that and add it to all your companions and the inquisitor will make short work of the baddies
With what you have listed, I would choose hidden blades with 4 hits

I usually go with Hidden Blades. Chain Lightning was kind of underwhelming to me. Haven't tried the Walking Bomb yet, but I don't really see how it would be better that HB. Might be good for additional crowd control, but honestly, Archers don't have enough CC options in this game, especially artificers. I'd suggest going with HB for some sweet extra damage, or with Walking Bomb if you just really like explosions.

Chain Lighting in combination with Guard on Hit is an awesome combo, but imo more suited for a warrior, as they want to keep their guard up. (I liked to give Skywatcher's Cleaver to my Katari in MP, as the SC has the Chain Lightning ability and the Katari has a built in Guard oh Hit ability, every time the CL from the sword would proc, my Katari got tons of guard. I do not know if it works with the Fade-Touched mats in SP tho)From the ones you've listed, I'd go with Hidden Blades as well, BUT I once put Walking Bomb on Sera's armor and it was an awesome light show, so

Chain lighting has a tendency to hit the nearest druffalo so I try to avoid it. Hiddet blades is useful though

Do you have Trespasser installed? Do you have a warrior in your party? If so, put Horn of Valor/Fortifying Blast on your warrior, highest priority, and they will spam guard on hit for the whole party. Much better way to get guard on hit, not to mention frees up a slot on your bow for another tier of Hidden Blades.
My usual Masterworks for archers is x4 Hidden Blades and x5 Hidden Blades. And then craft the hell out of Criticals and Dexterity.

All right then. I just wonder who should get Horn of Valor: Blackwall, or my Elf girl's big wall of Qunari Iron Bull.

Hidden blades with 5 hits on everything if you just wanna be a boring Min-Maxer and slaughter the AI even more easily.
Horn of Valor, Unbowed, Mindblast Fade cloak, or other goofiness if you wanna build an awesome YOLO archer.

Hidden blades is the best option for rouges (archer and DW).
For other effects it also depends on if you play with FF on or off, both chain lighting and walking bomb are FF abilities, personally I never use them as I prefer FF on.

All right then. I just wonder who should get Horn of Valor: Blackwall, or my Elf girl's big wall of Qunari Iron Bull. It's best on an AI controlled character. Blackwall is a good choice, since he has Champion abilities to help protect him. It does cut into his overall damage throughput, which is already hampered by his specialization. It works fine on Iron Bull, but only if you don't have him spec'd into Reaver. Even as a 2H/Vanguard build, he does tend to run low on stamina, which reduces your HoV frequency.

Now that I'm back with my assassin Ink, that's what I did with her, gave her Hidden Blades, 10% chance with 5 hits.

Well, I put Hidden Blades onto her bow, so now I'm debating keeping a Guard proc on her armor, or a Fade Touched Everite, the healing kind, which just dropped for me. Someone said that apparently can be pretty impressive.

Someone said that apparently can be pretty impressive. It is good, but I only use it for very specific purposes, like a certain mob boss battle in Descent. Usually, health and healing is not really an issue, even on Nightmare. There's so much damage mitigation (guard on hit) and damage buffing for offense that I rarely had to worry about healing or health level. With enough offensive buffs, enemies die before they can even land a hit on you.
