Is been model example of overhype. I'm not pushing my reservations against preorder business to spite people or ruin their happy day. It's outcomes like this why I spend time onm the sceptic side. I'd love to see Cyberpunk be a hitter, but I know that I make up stuff I'd like to play in my head and that is:
I'm not worried about CyberPunk too much. The hype for the game is crazy, but at the very least I can expect as much as we got from the witcher 3. For a game to pull me in, within the first 15-30min is a challenge, and The Witcher 3 along with ME, and The Last of Us has been the only games that have achieved that. So CDPR has earned my mindless trust and support, just as BW once had, and Naughty Dog does now. So they still will receive my pre-order business until their games become a shell of their former selves, like what happen to BW games.

We'll see some changes from the last teaser. Then, the studio had some nebulous ideas which have crystalized and some more ideas still in the oven. The next teaser ought to show what's new. I understand they are working on the "fun" part.

Well it's game development, things change. I already knew what we saw in the first gameplay trailer wouldn't be what we may get. Just because that's what the narrator stated, plus it was throughout the entire trailer: "WORK IN PROGRESS-DOES NOT REPRESENT THE FINAL LOOK OF THE GAME" was plastered on the top of the screen. Though I still give them credit, at least they showed actual gameplay and not a rendered trailer. I would absolutely be surprised if CyberPunk2077 be as huge of a disappoint as Fallout 76 or Anthem. Game Devs have my support until they lose it. I'm not going to show a lack of support to CDPR just because other devs are losing support from their fanbase. Just because EA and others are shitty doesn't mean everyone is shitty.

I have no good faith left for BioWare in its current incarnation after this last live stream and update.
As much as I lambast the studio for its failures, the reality is that Bio placed itself in severe constraints. and getting out will take supreme effort. Bio's ACT 1 projections clearly were overly optimistic.
So, to be fair, I have to acknowledge their understanding of their limitations going forward. This is forgetting the past and looking at the future. The support and content development team have no choice but to navigate through a minefield until the underlying game foundation is repaired properly. Imo, the studio needs to do this before anything else. That means delays and more delays for the stuff we all clamour to get.
Let's all hope that Bio mgt's decisions, their priorities and sequence are the right ones.

When you see every prediction you had coming true and even the most stalwart defenders have either ghosted or sheepishly turned to your side (usually without actually issuing a mea culpa) Indeed. A few weeks ago every Anthem defender was like "but the roadmap...". Lack of content? "Look at the roadmap..."No loot? "It is a Gaas game, just look a the roadmap..."
Extremely low Twitch viewer count? "Just wait for the roadmap stuff to drop..." Anthem will soon die? "No, it has a several years long roadmap..."EA will pull the plug? "No, because it has got a roadmap!"Now it turns out the roadmap was nothing but a fabrication for marketing and damage control, and only the most foolish fanboys fell for it. So yeah, I am waiting for that mea culpa, too.

Past performance is not indicative of future results. It is however indicative of that the people at CDPR have already gone through their share of growing pains when it comes to making big huge RPGs.
You don't go from making a game as flawed as Witcher 1 to what 3 was without actually learning from your mistakes along the way.

But they just aren't, and haven't been for a while. *shrug* Oh, I wish no bad on them, but no good anymore either. Whereas I used to believe they stood for something, I now no longer do. Or whatever it is they themselves believe in now, i.e. the reason, vision, or belief in why they make games, it has changed. Their method of working and communicating has consistently proven it so. As has the end result of their efforts. It's taken me a while to realise this, partly because I might not have wanted to realise it. A belief in a company is something you hold very dear, and very deep down inside. It is very difficult to change; either for good or for worse. But there's only so much one can ignore; for me, the bucket has spilled. My personalization with Bioware - as a company - has ended. I have simply... stopped caring for it. I wish the people working there the best, on a personal level. And I'll enjoy Anthem further for as long as it's fun for me to play.

The silence when they opened that chest and got that underwhelming loot (4 Purples and some crafting material). Priceless. As a teenager, I used to watch videos of skateboarders breaking their limbs, just for the lolz, but THAT was painful to watch. You can see it in their eyes The staggering silence says it all....it's a bit embarrassing....better late than never but if they needed somebody with expertise to work on the loot aspects, that should have been addressed during the planning and drafting stages...before you start any project you have all of your teams in place...not "oh when we get to the loot part, we'll hire somebody for it".....lol...ok so maybe it didn't go down like that,...they probably thought the team they had in place had a firm grip on how to implement the loot system. Not a good look post launch that you are scrambling to hire somebody to fix your loot system amongst other critical issues and bugs in play and with every patch, it seems they take 1 step forward and 3 steps back.... Anthem wasn't my type of game anyway, but its why i don't pre-order anything because of incomplete garbage like this. The last game i pre-ordered was Mortal Kombat 2 for Sega Genesis decades ago.....and i think i might've pre-ordered the very first Resident Evil (psx).....its funny in how my gaming library gets smaller and smaller with each new console genre.....i think my largest gaming library is my ps2 collection followed by my ps3 collection....my ps4 collection so far is the smallest. Not sure if its the fact that i'm just not as interested anymore or if the games themselves are lacking, there a a few gems of the gen tho.."God of War"..."Spiderman"...."The Evil Within 2".."Until Dawn".."Little Nightmares"....i still need to get "Nier automata" and "Hellblade" ..but my most fondest gaming experiences are from the ps3 Era..Mass Effect series/ Dead Space...ReMake...Spec OPs the line, Fallout 3, Batman AC....etc..and i'm going a bit off topic there lol....bottomline? that livestream section during that loot sequence was embarrassing.

Truth is... I do not even looking forward to the new Dragon Age any longer. When I learned the game would also be developed using the Frostbyte engine with Anthem "basics", and as "cherry on the top" the Game As Service model, I lost a lot of interest and got that same "sinking feeling" I got when we learned the details and setup for Anthem.
It's sad to say, but I am far, far more looking forward to releases from other game developers. For now I am more excited to see the upcoming English release of Trails Of Cold Steel 3 and 4 from Falcom (and hoping for a soon PC port like they have done for part 1 and 2), than anything what Bioware is developing.
As a personal opinion: If only Bioware had put more time and effort in Mass Effect Andromeda, and had released some really good DLC's for that game, we would have not been in this situation now. I am convinced Anthem was pushed out too early, because MEA was dying an early death. In my opinion they wanted to use MEA as a "stopgap" to buy time to develop Anthem. And because it was only a "stopgap" they dropped it on a less experienced studio and put not any work in it themselves. The result was that both games suffered... How stupid can you be?
Anyway - That ship has sailed and is steered right into the cliffs. It's sinking slowly now.... That's what you get if a manager thinks he's a Captain...
