People hate too much on DA:2 I disliked the new battle system, inventory and reuse of areas and I wasn't particularly fond of the characters either. Of course, I can only speak for myself, but that's what most people argued as well, if I recall.

For me ME2 out in front as my all time favourite game still
Then 2-6 (ME1, BG2, DAO, DA2, Kotor) liked all could be in any order
Then 7-9 (ME3, DAI & MEA) All underwhelmed in various ways
10) Jade Empire, never really fell in love with to start with
Nil points for Anthem

People hate too much on DA:2 I quite like it. It repeats too many areas and the final Act is rushed, but the dialogue system, companions, choices and the "not save the world" story I really enjoy. Not BW rankings again! Don't you all have something better to talk about? Like Anthem's level design? 😁 Yeah, I hated DA2 when I first played it. Loved it later. Its combat is efficient (with some idiotic challenges in Insanity), and the story and character choices are interesting enough to see how they play out.

I liked DA2 the first time. LOVED it after DAI upon replaying years later.
Now it's my favorite DA game thanks to Hawke. The boring ass inquisitor made me realize how awesome Hawke was. DA2 had the worst romances and not the most likeable companions (DAI has the best companions imo) but it had the more original story and great narrative. I minded the recycled maps a lot less the second time around. Combat was waaaay better than DAI. Still fun today. Haven't replayed DAO in years, combat probably hasn't aged so well.
Hard to rank Bioware games for me... I still think ME1 is the best Mass Effect game in terms of story and feel but ME2 is the most fun to replay. The best looking and most cinematic. ME3 has the best combat and some of my favorite moments.
My tentative ranking would probably be: ME1>ME2>ME3>DA2>DAO/DAI>>>MEA.
Or simplified: Trilogy >>>DA2/DAO/DAI>>>>>>>>MEA.
Yes, I like Mass Effect quite a bit more than DA. Or rather, the trilogy. Will forever have a special place in my heart. Dragon Age is cool but I wasn't as emotionally invested. Maybe due to the different approach of changing protagonists and companions.
Only played the demo of Anthem so it doesn't qualify. It was the least fun though obviously.Never played KOTOR or the even older titles.

DA2's gameplay is so awkward I can't even finish the first fight... NWN2's gameplay seems Shakespearean compared to that.

I'm done with BW so much, that I don't even want a great game like ME2 to be my all time favorite game anymore. I felt this way about Dexter after that abysmal ending. Was my favorite TV show. So emotionally invested. Haven't rewatched even the good seasons since. And I probably never will again. Ruined forever. Im still somewhat bitter about ir five years later. Some people feel that way about ME3's ending. Or in your case, about Bioware in general. I don't, fortunately. I can relate but I can still replay the trilogy fine and a part of me will love Bioware forever for it. Because they didn't ruin the characters. It's still an amazing journey even with that disappointing deus ex machina ending. Nothing will ever replace what Mass Effect was to me. And I'm still super happy with that. What has become of Bioware has nothing to do with the brilliance of their past storytelling. That was a different Bioware. Seeing that zombie limp along today makes me wish they'd just get shut down at last so I don't have to bear that sorry sight anymore. I'm done too with Bioware. But I'm not bitter. Imo Witcher 3 was already the most perfect game ever made. Doesn't stop me from loving the trilogy more than anything, though. Warts and all. Haha.

I found out that Deb died from a magazine article and still don't know what happened at the very end. I'm also very upset how Lieutenant Laguerta died. I feel your pain entirely. I still watch the show here and there, but only up to season 5 then I stop, I really enjoyed Lumen.

Quite amazing in a way, lol!

I don't think it's petty at all. It's sad. That's what it is. That's even worse then. It shows only a subjective to quality of a product and it's creators. Not that this is invaluable, but it does make what one like/dislike to be wholly subjective only and, to be honest, kind of useless to discuss.

Example Fallout 76 having a shitty launch, provable fact, Anthem being the worst BioWare game ever released-Subjective opinion. Admittedly an opinion quite a few agree with though.

The true subject of discussion should be if a discussion is worth having to begin with and for Anthem the answer seems a resounding no save on select topics.

Well If you're talking about my statement, it was never offering any criticism or critique to begin with lol. It was a simple statement of how I feel. If I wanted to give critique, why would I give it on a fan made forum and not post directly on a subreddit or tweet at BW?

My theory of most series going bad after season 4 is correct. You can voluntarily stop watching season 5s (stop your addiction to them) unless the reviews are very good.

Their "we will comunicate no more because we apparently suck at it" move was 'brilliant', especially considering that their image of their game was to have people talk about it to each other... oh the irony gives me a headache. Also, they have no other game formally in the works, so... a bioware forum should innately be a dead place to be. Only the foolhardy and those with a grudge remain.

I guess we'll have to delete 90% of all opinions on anything then since most people's opnions ARE highly emotional and non constructive. Welcome to the human race, buddy!
