Guessing here, but the full stat sheet is a challenge because the "admin" functions of Frostbite are so terri-bad. As in Hoover level of suckage. Maybe Dyson.
Putting up a stat sheet today would probably be easy … but it would most likely get mocked because it would be woefully inaccurate.
Given how various things are not counted correctly (multi-kill, weak point kill, contracts, priming, etc.), I think it takes some pretty major work to give accurate stats.
Don't misunderstand, I think it's hugely important … but it's not there, because FB is such a mess when it comes to reporting stats and it's taking major rework to get it right.
MEAMP has similar issues, but they are masked somewhat because various challenges and objectives don't rely so heavily on some of the most problematic stat reporting.
A lot of the changes sound good. I wonder if the reference to the Urgoth is part of what they are doing or simply a demo only for the slide? The weapon slide looks to be a demo, since they mixed and matched a grenade launcher with a light machine gun. Perhaps Urgoth is a stand-in for a pirate faction. Or the Urgoth are the pirate faction. Or we will see both Urgoth and pirate factions. That would be good.
I do like the slide of the new map … looks like it could be part of the map that some of the artwork hinted at.
Since this IS the skepticism thread, sad to read that while they have put many months into the effort, it appears they have many more months ahead before rolling out the changes. I guess better to do it right rather than try to hurry it and bolix it up again.

I’m not going to give them credit for realizing AFTER MORE THAN A YEAR concepts that players have been telling them since the beta (and loudly at that). And have been readily apparent from the other games in the market even longer. Honestly, this still feels like a token effort. It feels like they’re just trying to keep away from a story about pulling the plug on Anthem until after DA4 launches so that it won’t hurt those sales.

I think the part that bothers me the most is that during their whole time trying to avoid referencing other games in the genre, and trying to separate themselves from other games, no one got a clue that the motto, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," is still worth adhering to in certain cases. As for the stat sheet, I think they probably just didn't have enough time to do add it in; but we now know why that happened.

Since this IS the skepticism thread, sad to read that while they have put many months into the effort, it appears they have many more months ahead before rolling out the changes. I guess better to do it right rather than try to hurry it and bolix it up again. I doubt it. Here's why : These gaming companies love to make all these engines that look absolutely beautiful. FB, Unreal Engine, etc. Then, the developers get their hands on them. They say, "WTF?! None of my old tools will work!" Then, the developers have to code the tools that will work. Just in time for a new engine (say FB3.0, or Unreal Engine 5) to come out. It's a constant struggle between engine makers and developers. That's what you're seeing in DA:I. They are trying to get it right. And just starting. That and well, piss poor management that couldn't decide if it wanted to piss or play with itself. Don't forget, ME3 was still coded using the Unreal Engine 2 tools. By that time, they had that shit down. They had already coded all the tools, they knew exactly what they were doing. They could coast on the "BioWare magic". FB, not so much. They only had one other game under their belt, and that wasn't even in the same genre of game. I mean, go back and take a look at how long DA:O took to come out... Take a look at how fraught with troubles that game was. Now fast forward a couple'a years later... ME1 hits the shelves. If you take a look at that game from a purely programming perspective (not the story), that game worked but it was held together with bubble gum and popsicle sticks. Then, over the next two games, they got decidedly better. Not from an RPG perspective, there they got way worse. But from a programming perspective.

It is truly tragic, just how dead this sub forum is....this game really did have potential, imo.

It is truly tragic, just how dead this sub forum is....this game really did have potential, imo. It did and I played it a good deal in 2019 up to the Mass Effect armour sets. But the skeptics were largely right in my view. The traversal remains gorgeous and the concept is awesome but in application, well, i struggled through the bugs, got some value out of it by playing the content it contained but haven't been back in 2020 at all. It's a little like the Blomkamp short film, a short dose of pretty fluff but ultimately signifying not very much. I'm not a skeptic by inclination but it will take quite something to interest me in Anthem 2.0 at this stage. (and it's no accident that the Anthem sub-forum is tucked below Mass Effect and Dragon Age on the home page. It's only logic and tidiness that prevents it going below 'other' and 'general'.)

But there are challenges shackling your YouTube channel (in name) to a 'damaged game'. I know Minius GC had the same issue with Andromeda (even without the dedicated branding).

Indeed, I gave this game as fair a chance as I possibly could. Item level 765. Countless hours of grinding the handful of Dungeons, dealing with groups that constantly bailed at the first sign of struggle. I played it for a solid 2 months, hoping for anything. All we got was Cataclysm...which wasn't much, and frankly didn't even get me to come back, since I was already gone at that point.

All I see are people insulting me for liking Anthem and Andromeda but time and time again, Bioware cares for more of you guys then people like me. Maybe I'm just seeing Bioware wrong considering I've loved games that people say it's "wrong" to like. But I guess you guys can bask in your "victory" because to be honest everybody lost here. People who wanted to give the game a chance will not get a promised update and people who are skeptical will see it as a waste of time.
