Not to get into a debate or anything, but it seems to me at least some was intended. Just look at the promo materials in several games placing the companions into a picture copying the Last Supper. I haven’t read the articles yet but it isn’t hard for me to believe some was intended. To the extent Links may be suggesting, I wouldn’t know. Oh sure, some was intended. Christianity is a large part of western history and culture. I just don't think it was particularly deep about it. Same. I don’t think it does anything to improve the endings either.

The 3.7 is possible, and I'm not sure how they can turn it into a free to play game without pissing off folks further. I will say I find it a bit odd they would blame customers though considering the Schreier article and the fairly bad reaction to their initial statement that would be incredibly damning. That said it may have been frustration from sunken cell that is being misconstrued, or causing the reaction.

Plus the fun thing about academic allegory is finding meaning in the context. We don't always have a spec ops situation where it's meaning is specifically stated by the developers you know.

Sure, but again with such scrutiny on them it seems out of character at this moment due to the factors I mentioned earlier. Or possibly misinterpreting frustration. At the end of the day who knows, it's only rumor and heresay.

the joke is shepard is space jesus. That's just an in-game way to explain away a few things. Like starting over from level one, the timelapse, the crew going their separate ways, the technological advancements, the Council controlled narrative about the Reaper attack etc. It's a common video game trope. Hell, Gothic did it in, what was it, 2004? Wild Arms did it, Breath of Fire did, Final Fantasy did it and there's a slew of RPGs I haven't touched that probably do it, too. Do they all have Jesus complex?

Sure, but again with such scrutiny on them it seems out of character at this moment due to the factors I mentioned earlier. I'm just saying, I wouldn't be surprised. Remember the #EveryonesBattlefield thing with Battlefield V? Not the first time a developer shows their distaste towards their fanbase. Or possibly misinterpreting frustration. At the end of the day who knows, it's only rumor and heresay. Absolutely. Only time will tell if this holds any truth, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.

EA & Bio were surprised at the backlash because of the state of the game and the full price for a lemon? Mgt ought to get out of their ivory tower and walk among the muggles once in a while.
Loot system to be redesigned? Well, this thread was telling them to do it since almost day 1.
Jesse Anderson is muffled by mgt? How unsurprising.
I’m taking that article with a few grains of salt.
Understandable. Given the Kotaku article, however, this article's "speculation" does have some weight. The necessity for a loot system redesign is a no brainer. That Jesse is constrained in what he says is also a no brainer. Bio blaming EA, on the surface, is possible. That both blame the Anthem player base is surprising though, again, a reasonable reaction from our point of view.

Blaming the player base has been standard practice for years actually.

Oh sure, some was intended. Christianity is a large part of western history and culture. I just don't think it was particularly deep about it. I don't know man...the joke is shepard is space jesus. Plus the fun thing about academic allegory is finding meaning in the context. We don't always have a spec ops situation where it's meaning is specifically stated by the developers you know. Sure, he was space jesus. But, I kind of think that's about how deep it got. I agree with what you wrote about the endings specifically for the most part. Its just I think most of the character arks compared to Christianity were a reach.
If I had any evidence bioware produced deep writing of any sort, in well any game I might be more inclined to go with this. They just haven't to my knowledge.

Lazarus Project...raising the dead and being the one savior of the galaxy as the only person to stop the reapers. Lazarus Project is a much more fitting name, considering the project's subject. I guess Project Phoenix would have been just as good, oof, if not even better, considering Shepard went through re-entry, but just a little overused. And what other options were there? I guess Project Frankenstein would be out of the question. As for being "the chosen one", well, welcome to the club.

Opening banner with FemShep and Garrus ME1 versions as SSR rarity with a 0.050% chance each other to show up. SR we have Joker, Chakwas and Udina (ME1 version) with 1% each one to appear. rest, just common npcs and fodder. HAHAHAHAHAHA, the salt mines. Opening event with the starting planet of ME1.

I was thinking something more like - Intro with Anderson doing the tutorial - Given your own ship, which starts as a barebones frigate - Story mission where you slowly recruit crew members - Recruit OT members to your ship and new, original ones, provided you've upgraded your ship to unlock slots - Story mode awards you with some SSR cards that reflect the characters you recruited - Reasonable-ish grind to upgrade the quarters - Second campaign with Andromeda where you recruit the Andromeda crew - Outside story mode you can visit your crew in their quarters and go through some story elements - Sometimes the crew interact with each other and witness some characters go through some complementary character development - You will be able to do space battles, as well as ground battles - You might need to upgrade/level up character cards to progress their story modes - Duplicate cards will be merged together and offer access to loyalty quests - Character cards will come with some variations, will unlock crew cosmetic looks in the ship and in battle, which can be leveled up individually and give bonuses You'd play that. I'd play that. EA would make a shitload of money because they'd be preying onto our weaknesses, everyone would be happy.

I was only thinking on the cashgrab side of the game with the banners. But onto the side that keeps the playerbase hooked and playing, it's quite amazing the features you described. They could make their own unique story and add here and there some iconic moments from the games. as you say, EA would actually die of all the crazy money they would make with this.

They could make their own unique story and add here and there some iconic moments from the games. Oh, it would be some dark energy time distortion thingy that allows for parallel universes to merge, bringing characters from different timeframes, in the end you save the multiverse, while giving birth to a unique new one, where new characters can still emerge, but exists unhindered by the events of the OT or Andromeda, allowing for completely new storylines for the characters as well as a lower budget, than AAA gaming, to explore dropped themes for your favourite characters. as you say, EA would actually die of all the crazy money they would make with this. I'd personally send complementary hookers and blow to Andrew Wilson.

Not only that, but you can get Garrus (ME1), Garrus (Bandaged) Garrus (Scarred) as cosmetic customization for his face. You could have your own intact Turian to romance with both mandibles working, for you to suckle on. If that's your thing, I mean. now we only need to give a name to the premium currency and that's about it. The premium currency will be Eezo. Not Jack's varren, the actual one. We'll also have credits, of course and various metals, like the ones you scan planets for in ME2, that will be used to upgrade your characters/frigate.
