Would a movie like this be fun?  If Hollywood decides to make a high fantasy movie what would you want it to be like? What would a fantasy movie have to have to appeal to today's audience? Would it have to have a sappy romance subplot to appeal to Millennials? |

Well, I think series are already way better at this, Game of Thrones will have spin offs and there will be a LOTR series, or at least a series based in that universe. I enjoy series already way more than any movies. Never thought that this would ever happen. |

There should be a moratorium on all planned out series for the next 15 years at a minimum. The trend of green lighting a bunch of movies in a row to create one large narrative peaked 15 years ago after Return of the King released

Nah, think Hollywood should leave it be now and just keep churning out largely junk that lacks meaning outside of its momentary entertainment value. Someone else will come up with something worthwhile. Hollywood just seems to seep its political agendas into whatever it touches and it hurts quality at times.
