Favorite British Comedy?

I'm not a fan of comedies from any country but I did watch tons of Mr. Bean back in the day.

 Oh I meant goggle box. Not google box.   

When i was growing up i saw this English "movie"



so silly and at the same time so funny.  

There is another one but i do not remember the name.

I'm not generally one for best, greatest or favourites, it's a bit like asking someone what's the best colour, but here are some of my highlights...

I never though I'd see Skins described as comedy. Still good though, probably one of the most realistic depictions of teenage life any show has ever pulled off, even if it does occasionally get over the top. The whole core of the show, the characters and how they act, talk etc is extremely believable. I also like that they 1. use actual young actors for the roles instead of 30-somethings and 2. don't sanitize or clean it up one bit in spite of the subject matter and the characters and actors being young. And they don't fall into the traps of either moralizing over drugs, drinking or sex, nor playing it up in the way it's presented and sensationalizing it all "oooh, look how controversial we're being". It just... is. The US version they tried to do was apparently total shit tho.

This is strangely similar to the average Steam game thread.......Autosave?.....Luxury....games were so hard when I was young...we had it so tough, gamers today don't know they're born.  Change the references to gaming ones and it's essentially the same discussion.  Somebody should update this as the Four Gamers Sketch........

Lots of good choices. Fawlty Towers and Allo allo are my favs but a lot of good ones.
