Artyom needs to stop doing drugs. You have fun while doing his most traumatic experiences. Give the guy a break 😂 Not much of a recreation opportunities or psychologists down there in the tunnels.

I've heard some things. For starters there's a rumor floating around that apparently the game is on Steam as a hidden file of sorts, hope that's true and they eventually release it (or re-release it rather) on Steam. The other thing is that people mention the optimization leaves much to be desired, for those of you on PC how does it perform?

That kind of makes sense. Apparently (info from a last month or so) whoever pre-ordered the game via steam -when that was possible- can install and play it via that, instead of the epic launcher.

I thought they gave refounds to everyone and inform them that the game would only be on the Epic Store. Also, retail versions had a sticker on top of the Steam logo apparently as a "last minute" change to the game boxes, which shows how late Epic came up with the idea (and the money).

I haven't heard anything about refunds, though I also did not really inform me much about how the situation went on. But i did hear that steam keys sold in retail boxes and on several other sites were replaced by epic keys. Though the Steam shop still displays this message: Notice: Sales of Metro Exodus have been discontinued on Steam due to a publisher decision to make the game exclusive to another PC store. The developer and publisher have assured us that all prior sales of the game on Steam will be fulfilled on Steam, and Steam owners will be able to access the game and any future updates or DLC through Steam. We think the decision to remove the game is unfair to Steam customers, especially after a long pre-sale period. We apologize to Steam customers that were expecting it to be available for sale through the February 15th release date, but we were only recently informed of the decision and given limited time to let everyone know. Bolded the important part.

Bolded the important part. Interesting. So they're gonna let people who pre ordered get the game on Steam. As far as I knew, those who pre ordered on Steam got refounded the money after news of the exclusivity deal with Epic went out. That's why people were so pissed, they pre ordered it on Steam and all of a sudden it wouldn't be available on Steam. I'd like to believe that after a year or so, the game will return to Steam for purchase. Exclusive deal or not, I think this hurts more 4A than helps (no matter how much Epic paid them), then again it was the publisher Deep Silver's decision, not theirs, which is really sad. Terrible when a company has to dance to their publisher's tune, happens with EA and happens with others too.

Finally got around to start Exodus and I'm about 2 hours in. Really liking how they did Anna, also the graphics are amazing and the weapons feel properly''heavy'' and hard hitting. I own and shoot firearms in real life and I have to say according to my experiences most games don't get that right. Exodus feels good. The only problem I have encountered so far is that I get stuck with the controls when I enter the map on the Aurora Train. On the left bottom corner it says I have to use WASD to either go back to the train or navigate the map. Only after random slightly infuriated button mashing I eventually managed to get to the next map. No combination of the WASD keys seem to do anything.

I've heard it has a lot of bugs, and the performance is a bit finicky. Make sure to report how the game performs in your end, and any unusual bug you might encounter (also the AI...). I still have some hope for a Steam release next year perhaps (at a discounted price ), and with any luck quite a few patches would fix most of the issues people are reporting.

Random Musings from ps4 version
Guns - Probably more realistic than any other game. Not that I have much experience, a simple bolt action rifle is good enough for me. The weapon crafting is also good. The lack of ammo to enjoy these weapons annoys me greatly though. Like I crafted a silenced SMG with a drum clip and the max ammo you can carry is basically one clip.
A.I. - Its probably about the same as previous games.
Loading screens - When you first load a save to begin a play session, you can expect to wait a while. I usually go find something else to do instead of waiting. Reloading a auto save or quick load is nowhere near as bad but still takes about 30 seconds.
I'm found traversing the swamp area either on foot or by canoe to be rather tedious. Driving the truck around the desert area is more my style.

This game is amazing. I could not force myself to stop playing. My one gripe isn't really a spoiler but call me cautious. You end up covering almost eight thousand kilometers over the course of a year by the end but you never really run into any trouble with the rails. It's mentioned in passing once about having to fix the line but you never see it. It would have been nice if in between the big areas there were smaller levels. Fix a fucked track, clear wreckage, find an alternate route, bandits, that sort of thing. They could fix it with DLC although given the Epic fuckfest I'm not sure if DLC is even on the table, at least until the game is back on Steam in 2020. Gotta talk about the ending... My first play through I got the bad ending. Just finished a second to get the good one. I gotta say, I think I prefer the bad ending. The good one was pretty generic and boring but the bad one was a merciless kick straight to the feels. Don't think it's gonna be leaving me any time soon.

I finally started it over the weekend (I've had it since release but I was finishing a ME3 run and then Anthem came out, so Metro was put on the back burner.), and is quickly becoming my favorite. I should have done a refresher run of 2033 and Last Light though, I remember most of them, but can't help but feel that there are some things that I'm forgetting. I'm excited to see where this ends up, then probably run through all 3 with no gaps between the games.
I'm in the desert at the moment and like the feeling of finally escaping the Metro. The characters are good and feel like they are not just along for the ride; and they don't seem to have changed Anna, as we know how some developers like to "tweak" some female characters.

Despite the long loading screens and the bugs that Metro Exodus has, it's a good game.
Also, photo mode needs a 3rd person mode.

So, I had to completely reinstall and restart Metro.
(A couple of minor spoilers...)
In Novobirisk(?) I was having some major stability issues. First, if took me 2 save reloads to even get out of the truck at the start. Then it kept freezing/ crashing just after the putrid tunnel bit, don't know why. I've had a few other similar issues, but never so many in the same mission.
Hopefully the reinstall fixed whatever the issue was so I can see the ending.

Does the game still have that stupid thing about not killing other people to achieve the best ending or they changed that?

Does the game still have that stupid thing about not killing other people to achieve the best ending or they changed that? I am pretty sure it does, it does seem to be pretty subtle though. There are a couple of points where something definitely seems to indicate a good/ bad moral choice, screen flash or a characters' actions. I have been avoiding anything related to the story or possible endings (surprisingly easy, not extremely popular I guess), so I can't say for certain if there are "good" or "bad" endings. 2033 and Last Light both had them, so I'm going to with Exodus probably does too.

Does the game still have that stupid thing about not killing other people to achieve the best ending or they changed that? It's been loosened. You're free to kill bandits and thugs to your hearts content but in a gun fight the last one or two may surrender. Knock them out. Note, you have to do the actual non-lethal takedown, gun bashing is lethal. Also, later on there is an area with three groups of people, bandits, pirates and pioneers. Pirates and pioneers are basically just team names, don't kill them. Other than that, just take the time to do the side objectives and you should be fine, it's much easier to get the good ending this time around.

Finished the game. Damn i hate those blind sasquatch you find in the last chapter of the game. The only mutant creature in the game to make me tense before a confront. By the way i got the ending were Artyom, Anna and the others look at the colonel tomb at the margin of lake baikal. I suppose that was the happy ending?

Yeah, that was the good ending. As for the karma system the core of it is the same but they've thankfully done away with the stuff that had nothing to do with karma. Like all the hidden areas in 2033 and Last Light that gave a karma point for finding them. It was fairly easy to get all the "good" outcomes in the game, other than maybe the Damir one. That one was a bit tricky. As for the blind ones I just avoided them. They reminded me of the Librarians, probably my favourite mutant in the series.
