I've never played in MP. Is it worth it?

Yes, it's fun.

Try it. See if you like it. Do not fear this game.  It's as simple as you can get from a grinder.  It reminds me a lot of the 80's Gauntlet (the top down one).  Simple but keeps you hooked.

Make friends. Team up. Play routine at first and try Legionnaire/Keeper then unlock Arcane Warrior/Saarebas. With those 4 characters you should be able to help/survive quite well allowing you to farm gold/materials to try out other classes if you wish.

It can become highly addictive once you start down the dark path of promoting over and over.  You have to promote or you will not build up your natural defences to enemy attacks, peaking at 170 CON (melee defence) 170 WIL (magic defence) 170 CUN (ranged defence).  CON also raises HP, WIL raises attack, CUN raises critical hit chance.

I cannot stress this enough DO NOT BUY PLATINUM.

But "Worth it?"...hmmm... pissing 2 years of your life away in front of ANY video game, although highly enjoyable at times, can never really be said to be worth it.

I'm playing DAMP about a month now. My original plan was just taste it.
It is very addictive even if tried only once.
