With how fractured the marvel universe has been all this time, I don't think Disney could ever integrate the whole thing, even if the Fox deal goes through, until they finally complete these phases and start over from scratch. I don't think they are going to have too much issue integrating the X-Men into the MCU if they really wanted to, after all they have done an adequate job introducing all of their OTHER risky properties into the universe. "Oh where was the Sorcerer Supreme during the battle of New York?" We are charged with protecting the world from more 'mystical' threats, the Avengers are physical. "Where has the Black Panther been all this time?" Wakanda is extremly isolationist and only got involved in the world stage recently because their citizens/ king was killed in a grudge match between Hydra and the Avengers. "Where are the rest of the Avengers in every other major incident on Earth?" We can't afford them that often...oh and its difficult to get them to all 'assemble' on a moment's notice like that. So on and so on. My personal guess would be that Thanos, his shenangans, and all the other hijinks in the MCU of late has caused these people's mutant genes to activate. So you cna still get older characters but then have them get their powers...that way. Granted its a bit of a stretch but it will probably be worth it to see the MCU Wolverine, Magnito, and Professor X. Assuming of course they don't focus on some of the other X-Men to build things up at first.

Mephisto, I feel, would be better introduced in something involving Ghost Rider (pretty much any of them), since Rider is probably the one with the most history with Mephisto. I’m hoping to see something with Johnny Blaze. He had a tease/cameo in Agents of Shield when Robby Reyes was introduced, but Robby has been the main Rider and Johnny’s just sort of disappeared. I actually liked the Peter Fonda and Nicolas Cage versions from the first Ghost Rider. Pity they didn't do a proper sequel instead of that godawful other piece of shit. ... Gah, you are so wrong. The original movie was much too goofy, but the sequel was at least decent. Wasn't there, like, a flaming crane at one point?

Maybe that incident from Logan had already happened before Iron Man hit the scene and mutants are rare and/or underground atm in the MCU timeline. I'm sure someone here knows how the timelines match up to either verify or debunk that idea. Maybe when they do introduce mutants in the MCU it will be whatever generation follows the recent X-Men movies. Pretty sure they are just going to straight up reboot Fantastic Four though. Would be great to see them get some MCU love and Doom would be a great follow up villain after Thanos is dealt with.

So this does raise the question though that me and my fiancee have debates...can the Inifnity Gauntlet create matter? Not sure if I brought this up before but then not sure if I got a good answer either. So..discuss!
As far as it goes though its an interesting thought experiment to show Iron Man growing and be the one, further, to stop Thanos. Especially if they do it by convincing him he is wrong (kind of what I wanted in ME 3)...and they could have been setting this up with how Thanos and Iron Man were playing off of one another in the movie. Still, if all this is the case where the action for Avengers 4? Speculate!
Though I do also find it interesting if they end this just by 'blowing up' the MCU too.

I feel that if they were to integrate the X-Men, they'd probably reboot the entire thing from the ground up with entirely new people and the events from all the other movies are scrubbed. Overall I think it would probably end up being for the best.
As for Fantastic Four, I'd like to think it has a chance to FINALLY have a good movie, but if Disney doesn't get it right, then it truly is a cursed property.

Apparently I need to watch Agents of Shield, because somehow Agent Coulson is still alive.🤨 I feel the same way about Phil Coulson that I do about Darth Maul. They died well in their respective movies. Let them rest in peace. Bringing them back in a tv show is weak, IMO. Really looking forward to seeing young Coulson and (two-eyed)Nick Fury in Captain Marvel, though.

I ultimately forgave Maul's revival because I really enjoyed his rivalry with Obi-Wan and how he was screwed with by Palpatine. I was really pleased to see ol' Sidious just yukking it up while he was handling both Maul and Savage simultaneously. Then there was the Satine scene.

I think part of it for me is that Clone Wars was very hit and miss for me. There were parts I loved(Cad Bane, ftw). But Maul's storyline never really gelled with me. I still wish the guy had stayed dead. Any scene with Sidious was gold though, I'll give you that. That one in particular was very cool. Really drove home why Sidious wasn't just some chump in a chair twiddling his fingers and muttering "Something, Something, Something, Daaaaaark Side.... Him besting 3 Jedi masters in seconds in Episode III wasn't a fluke. Edit: Wait, this is the MCU thread. Um.....I dropped out of Agents of Shield right around the end of Season 1. Did it get better?

Most people were all like "What how can Maul the bad ass die so pathetically!" And I was all like "Yes, yes, yeeeeess die you miserable waste of a character." Fit perfectly given what I think of both Obi-Wan and Maul.

Um.....I dropped out of Agents of Shield right around the end of Season 1. Did it get better? Yes. It's gotten progressively better pretty much every season thus far. Outside of maybe one or two of the Netflix shows, it's easily better and more consistent in quality than other shows of the genre that are on right now. Though Coulson is probably my least favorite part of the show. The character feels a bit dated, like he's from a show from 15-20 years ago. Way too much focus on him being irreverent and coming up with witty quips. To make a Dragon Age comparison: he's sarcastic Hawke 99% of the time, no matter the situation.

Really looking forward to seeing young Coulson and (two-eyed)Nick Fury in Captain Marvel, though. I think Coulson became a far better character in AoS than in the films, as his death in the Avengers and subsequent (initially unexplained) resurrection did change him and cause him to evolve beyond the cliche government (or SHIELD) suit we first met back in Iron Man.
Yeah, there were forced to keep in a holding pattern for too long in S1 and it lost them viewers.
Since then, they've only gotten better with each season.

Why do a lot of the older MCU movies look better then the newer ones? Rewatching Thor right now and this movie is *gorgeous* in terms of CGI and SFX but it just seems like in some of the later entires (Black Panther and Homecoming) things just *look* fake and CGI. Its... kind of bizarre.

Its... kind of bizarre. It's nothing mysterious. Marvel is part of a huge corporation, which had a huge FX budget. Now that they have established themselves & people will flock to the theater for a very average superhero film regardless of word-of-mouth, they know they can get away with trimming some fat. Evidently the FX dept. was top on the budget cuts list
