So when you briefly meet Warden Alistair in DA2, he mentions a top-secret mission that the Wardens were conducting. What mission was that exactly? Did it have to do with Corypheus being sealed in the Warden Prison near Kirkwall?
If so, would the dialogue change if you complete the Legacy DLC before or after you meet Alistair in DA2?

Probably this mission related with the Warden expedition that Anders spoke about(0:50) (When he saw that Warden around Kirkwall he thought he looks for him, and he searched clues – this was when he stole the maps –, but when he saw the maps, he figured, they plan an expedition.)
Also can related with Nathaniel's expedition – who followed Hawke's expedition's trail (Act3) I agree, this expedition can relate with Corypheus. But tf their aim was the Warden Prison, the question, why? The seal was fresh: only ~25 years old... some of them heard Corypheus' false calling? Anyway, the conversation's not changes, because this is secret – even if they led by the false Calling (or an order from a leader who hears the false Calling), and even if they investigate for the lost Warden expedition (Janeka's people for example).

CatilinaDon't think it's the Act 1 expedition mentioned by Anders. end of Act 2, three years later, during the Qunari invasion is when A Warden shows up. It may be related to Nathaniel but again there is the 3 years issue. I also don't think it's related to Cory (you can do that DLC in any Act) but maybe it was meant to be a hint about Cory, but then they got the chance to elaborate in DLC making that hint just weird and out of place.

What Anders mentioned was only a planned expedition. Why can't be realized after three years? He took away the maps, and I suppose it was not that important to the Wardens at the moment... and Stroud and his team was there for reasons – near from Kirkwall. Everything can related – and there also an opportunity, that the Grey Wardens here just because they're Grey Wardens, and this is the Deep Roads: "Darkspawn this, darkspawn that. Taint taint taint taint taint". And the Grey Warden things always secret...

I concede your point. but then, why would the Wardens care about some old dwarven ruins? that's not their Forte, that's what traditional dwarves care about. Of course, bartrand only wanted the maps so they could find entrances to the deep roads from the surface that were still functional. I really have no idea why there were other Wardens nearby in the Deep Roads to make the Sibling a Grey Warden. The Deep Roads got nothing to do with Cory either.

Nathaniel mentioned they interested toward Hawke's expedition – but he was vague about it (video). The tainted lyrium would interesting to Grey Wardens too... this isn't about the dwarven history, rather about the taint's history.
Coryphes false Calling is really strong. Janeka and her team was there because of this. I suppose Cory related with many Warden thing there.
