Do you find it weird when games intersect with real life? Examples: - When a real-life location is used in a game.
Assassin's Creed or Fallout would be examples where real-life locations, if changed, appear in the game.
- When you have played so much of a game you see it in the real world.
You start to see camping spots, or climbing spots in the real world as if you were in a game.
- Game quotes in real life
You start quoting game phrases or quotes in real life making people very confused. 'I used to work in a job like that, but I took an arrow in the knee'...
Just me?

When the company microwave is done heating up someone's lunch: DING! "Grats." When the guy ahead of me drives annoyingly slowly, and I just can't find the status display of the Revenant gatling cannon in my car. "The crime is your abominable existence, and the sentence is... death." No, not just you.

Giggled like a school girl when I found Sunfall in Horizon Zero Dawn located in Bryce Canyon, a most marvelous place I visited myself a year prior. Also loved walking through Zion NP in the Fallout New Vegas DLC for the same reason. It's cool when games mix reality with fantasy.

Definitely. Fallout NV was the best for me, as I got to visit the IRL Neon Boneyard, the Old Mormon Fort, Hoover Dam, and drove past Primm that really does have a roller coaster, and Goodsprings.
In terms of nerd society, we'd talk about how various foods and drinks would buff or debuff our stats, and how pervasive the RNG is IRL, like whether or not you hit every red light when you are late for work. "The RNG is rigged!" we would shout, shaking or nerd fists at the Great Dev In The Sky.

I remembered thinking whimsically of Mafia games while I was driving along the road years ago; mowing down pedestrians while being chased by mobs, the car tough to control at high speed. Of course I didn't do any such thing in RL but it was weird that thought came up. I've no idea what brought it up.

Once I went to a music festival on the German Hockenheimring (Racing circuit). On my way to the donut booth I walked on the track in perfect racing line, touching the apex in the corner with perfect acceleration out of the corner. I took that corner so often in racing games I would not have been able to walk that corner in any other way.
I also felt bad when I walked on the trackside grass and gravel pit.

I started seeing Celedine, white myrtle and other plants every where I went and wanted to pick them cause I needed them for my alchemy. I can relate. Just the other day, I collected some rocks on my way to work and couldn't understand when my boss didn't give me 100 XP.

Whenever I walk into a large power distribution room in a soundstage or industrial Warehouse, I think instantly that I could take the whole building down and every Reaper in it, with either Overload (for massive Tech Burst) or Incinerate (for massive Fire Explosion). Engineers ftw

Just me? 1. When I played Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, which both play in Tokyo, for the first time, I went "I walked down this street! " when the game sent me to the big Shibuya Crossing Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE picture I took in Tokyo in 2006 2. Back in what, 2006? I used to play FF12 a lot. I played it so much, once I left the apartment to go grocery shopping and on the way to the store I wondered if I saved. Came back and no, I hadn't locked the door. Locking the door =/= saving the game. 3. I quote the Elementalist from DAI MP a lot. "I'm not whining, that really hurt!"

After playing GTA Vice City for months, I was walking down the street and saw one of the sports cars from the game parked beside me. I immediately thought "I gotta jump in there and grab it while I can!" and had to briefly fight off the urge to do so. It was shocking!
Don't tell any of the "video games cause violence" people.

The awkward moments come when you can tell the difference between cover and concealment on a moment's notice just walking down the street. And can actively use it to youradvantage.

A few night ago I dreamed about being a sniper. Almost neutralized 20 people, then climbed a building and on its roof I hid Assassins creed style. Then the police lost me. I returned to my female friend/contractor and she had 5 good cars. I said I want the 2nd best car, she said I'll only give you the 4th car. Finally I got the 3rd car as my prize!
Call of Duty + GTA + Assassins Creed mixed and stuff.

Years ago I was playing Skyrim...and I went out walking, it was a grey and rainy day. I stopped, looked at the sky, and felt a strange urge to scream Lok Vah Koor. It's the clear sky shout in the game. Of course I did not do it, but I remember walking deep in thoughts, thinking how cool it would be to Fus roh Dah annoying people and such.
Playing FO4 got me through some type of small revelation. I like a singer who's from Boston, so read some interview where she talks about the town etc...I knew it was on the east coast and not too far from NY but I never realised it was this close to the ocean. or that boston had small almost european looking streets.

When the guy ahead of me drives annoyingly slowly, and I just can't find the status display of the Revenant gatling cannon in my car. I'd mention that as well, except I had daydreams of my car being equipped with large guns for the same reason long before 3D action games were even viable, so that doesn't count.
Other than that, the weather in TW3 is so immersive, I sometimes react to it as if it were real, saying "shit weather" when surprised by a rainstorm out in the open, which of course rarely happens IRL but all the time in the game; or really enjoying a boat trip on a sunny day. Also, during the recent heat spell in central Europe, I actually found it somewhat refreshing to be in a rainstorm in the game. I just regretted I couldn't jump into the very clean and refreshing-looking water of Lake Wyndamer.
As for game reality intruding into RL, I sometimes experienced flashes of DX:HR's neo-Renaissance architecture superimposed on the cityscape of my home city. I love that architecture, and generally that cultural style, and would love to see it adopted IRL. I even thought of having a replica of Jensen's coat custom-made, most notably including the floral patterns that all (!) of the available fan articles omit.

Anyone remember the Getaway on PS2? It was a kind of a Guy Ritchie version of GTA filled with cockney gangsters. Had a pretty impressive map covering a decent chunk of central London, most of which looked very good (at least at the time).
I got it almost exactly when I moved there and I think it actually helped me find my way around. You could even recognize a lot of real pubs and shops in some areas as well as all the obvious landmarks.
