dazk, I like Kyra okay as a character, but never as a love interest. She thought she was in love with Thaletas until the protagonist arrived. "Yawn. Okay, little girl. Whatever you say." She's unsteady. She's very pretty, and seems cool, but is very immature. Thaletas is largely an idiot. He's pretty likable as long as he isn't crossed. Rather than getting involved, I can keep my protag's nose out of their relationship and everyone seems much better off in the end. It also allows me to focus on the good in them, rather than bringing out the worst. As to the smuggler, spoilers follow. Iola, the smuggler, reappears at the party in the company of Barnabas. They each felt their hearts skip as they stared into the eye of the other. It's silly in exactly the way you'd expect from Barnabas.
Iola can join the crew as a legendary lieutenant. Since the recent update added scaling, the recruited lieutenants are actually useful.

Really the Iola/Barnabas relationship is the best romance in the game.

So managed to get a fair bit done yesterday. Got Tesikles to the Olympic, well to the wharf anyway then signed up for The Pankrateon and did the first stage. Then remembered I wanted to kill the last cultist in the Aegean Sea line so headed off and did that, again got attacked by several pirate ships who mysteriously rose up out of the sea (literally) and then sank the cultist ship before I could board it. Then back to Elis for the Olympics and did all the quests nearby including the two lovers and killed the fathers, helped the woman who was going to be killed by the priestess and then for the hell of it thought I'd shoot the priestess which I did and surprisingly got no bounty!!!! The bounty's for me are an ongoing source of aggravation as they seem to have no basis in reality. So I stealth a camp, Rush Assassinate a guy and no one sees but suddenly a bounty pops up and the bounty giver is another guard asleep in a tent in the same camp. Then is Elis during the truce for the Olympics I am chasing the kid that steals your drachmae and literally 3 bounty hunters in a row run down the street and I Rush Assassinate all of them individually in front of heaps of people and no bounty. Wiped out a whole bandit camp with RA and there are no prisoners or anyone nearby and get a bounty, its just insane!!!! Anyway I digress. Did the mission to get the antidote for Alkibiades then back to the Pankrateon and defeated the last guy and then went and killed the Cultist dude. Had a bit of time left so then did Alkibiades marriage quest. Pic's Eagle Bearer Three Musketeers Innocent Dead Psycho Priestess and as you can see no one cared and no bounty Thief And the magnificent Testikles if anyone wants to watch it:

If you do her romance and provide her with the info re who Podarkes is she actually shows a lot of maturity. Re the fact that she is already in a relationship, well sometimes you meet someone and then you meet someone else and realise you made a mistake. They weren't married or even engaged. Where do I meet this smuggler?

Where do I meet this smuggler? I've done her romance arc. I think she's a pretty cool character, and has a lot in common with the protagonist. Still, to me she seems young, in over her head and barely staying afloat. Who wants to walk into that type of situation? Not I. You can meet the smuggler on Delos, just north (IIRC) of the temple. She is laying low and will point you toward a side quest.

I. Love. Pephka.
Seriously other than the Arena it is one of my favorite areas in the game. I forgot just how funny it is. Running through a lot of the stuff with the 'Minotaur'. Preventing some guy from falling to his death, getting swindled by an entroprenurial kid, doing pre trials, and battling the 'Minotaur' with the roar. I was pretty much in stitches the whole time...which I actually played a bit later in the night then I usually did so that was an achievement all by itself.
Of special note was the whole quest with that one kid...probably the funniest quest in the game with the 'minotaur sized tunics' and also beating up on him and his thugs. I actually am using my staff more especially when dealing with multiple opponents. Though it was quite nice because after they were dealt with and I went to deal with the kid I switched to my sword and she drew it from her sheath quite meanacingly. Also dealing with the thugs in the cave of the brave one of the thugs was like 'one more hit should do it' and I checked my health and I had forty percent left, but I was cogniscent of the incident with the snake...decided to advance boldly...and still bashed him.
Still this little marathon that I was playing did highlight a couple of minor problems with the game's dialogue system. First off really miss more tone icons so I can tell how I am going to be saying certain lines. Like when Kass was confronting swindle boy about his sick mother, while I didn't expect it the sarcasm for the line 'you really are taking care of your mother' could've been quite rich but alas it did not happen. It did set up an even more funnier moment when the kid was like 'so will you buy the Elixir' and Kass was all like: no. The other problem is that this game does better then most at having only two dialogue options but there are still moments...like being able to respond with only glory and family (neither of which Kass is interested in) where it falls apart.
And mega props to Mellisanthi Mahut here. Very rare that she's gotten to be funny so far in my game...so she really nails the humor. I think I heard giggles in there which suggests she was laughing at her own line delivery. Not that I'm complaining.

I think Melissanthi really nails the subtle sarcasm humour and also the enraged stuff and I think the animators did a great job on her expressions as well. Some of the expressions and faces she pulls are LOL funny.

So very painful but quick session yesterday, had an epic fail as I wanted to bring Achaia nation power down to get the Conquest Battle so I could lure out a cultist. Did the Conquest Battle after doing some stuff in Achaia and then realised it was the wrong conquest battle!!!!! Then went back to taking down nation power in Achaia and went to clear a ship yard and seriously it was broken. Rush Assassinate a guard, all good none of the guards nearby react but suddenly civilians from every where pile on even though I am hidden?????? Had saved before so though whatever will start again. Assassinate a guard from cover and again civilians run from everywhere and guards as well. So killed the guards whilst trying to avoid hitting civvies and then one of the guards turns out to be a cultist - YAY but I then have to run away and hide because I can't confirm the kill with civvies whacking me with wood. Wait for the cooldown on hostilities and go back to confirm the kill and again having not done anything civilians again run in and attack me!!!!! Anyway didn't get the Conquest Battle because I can't find the leader anywhere and there is nothing to do left except kill random guards and it seems to making less impact than normal. Time to move on methinks. Only one screen shot, always feel a bit bad assassinating guards whilst they pee :

Picking up where I left off, Kassandra needed to destroy some dodgy wine which it turns out, was either killing athletes or turning them into slaves. I never really got it straight because I ended up killing everyone who knew the truth I also - for shits and giggles - just killed the leader while I was there and looked like a hero in front of "woman", a mercenary who just didn't want to do it. I love completing quests before you know about them. But in the end, sometimes all you can do is be a friend... So, the placement of the Poseidon statue for Phidias was poorly thought out. I mean, I'm just here to read a statue lady, stop bugging me. Speaking of, after returning to Phidias and finding the scytale, that single room...? What the hell? Travel from one end of the greek world to the other without a loading screen, but this one room inside a stronghold on a small island? Fuck it, need a whole new area for something that complex!

So again a bit of a rushed and short PT yesterday but did manage to kill at least 6 mercenaries and a cultist. So found the leader of Achaia in Olourros (SP?) Fort, this damn fort I always seem to end up doing several times in a PT!!!!! Its not a bad one though the layout is conducive to stealth and good for racking up a body count, especially when the Merc's come to play - SUCKERS!!! Anyway killed the leader and did the Conquest Battle, the right one this time and you have to do it on "Hard" which I was a bit concerned about but went OK and killed poor old Pallas The Silencer in one hit. Since had cultists in my sight heaed to Kyhtera to do the I Diona quest and get me another cultist scalp. Did all the sub-quests except going to see the sister and whatever she has you do, also rescued an incompetent Lynx Hunter. This guys still stuck in the battle field at Achaia and stuck with arrows too: Rescued this guy and killed me some damn Lynx Have been this PT with having Kassandra answer wherever possible that she is sent from the gods or a goddess, has been quite fun: You might Bite but I am on to you and will have the last laugh as I know you are on the right (wonder who gets it)!!! Going the Celestial look ATM

Just finished up the Legacy of the First blade dlc episodes, they were alright. Not really enough character development for me to care too much about everything that happened though. Then started up the Atlantis dlc stuff as well, gotta say I really like the look of the Elysium fields. Kinda reminds me of the areas you got to go in Origins in some of those dlcs.

So finished up rescuing Amara and with that it is time to go off to the Messara side of the island and start dealing with that. In all my playing last night though I do think its fascinating that there are basically three cultists on that one island, plus clues for two more...at least. Quite a lot going on that one island for the cult.
So with all that out of the way I started first by ripping right off across the island and going straight for Melitle or...whoever that was. Then when I killed him I went back and started filling in and picking up the side quests going the other way. Had terrible luck with Mercs last night or at least ambushing them with my rush assassination. Most of them were on horseback. Of course they were quite thick through Gortyn.
I did the quest about the complicated situation, the one with the wife who ended up dead...both of them ended up dead. It was fun I basically heard the guards say 'you shouldn't have done X' and when they said that, I knew, so I rush assassinated them all. AfterwardsI smoked the Followers of Ares out of their cave to get that amulet for someone since I know they are basically cult proxies I intend on gutting them all like fishes...and then I got Thesesus's armor..which I have to wonder if it even works.
Still in the middle of helping the kid. At least intend on seeing how far it is before I can engage the Minotaur.

I did the rescuing Amara (Mooooo - I mean Rooooar ) and other quests yesterday including the MinoTOUR which I thought I was going to hate but I still got some chuckles out of it and the Pre-Trials of the Minotaur.

I loved that frickin kid. I knew he was trying to swindle me the first time but that is still a very funny sequence of events. 'If your mother is sick why did you cough?' 'You are really taking care of your poor mother' 'yes, will you help us?' 'No.' When the thugs showed up the first time I believe I was like 'come on kid'.

So yesterday achieved quite a bit, finished I Diona and killed the correct twin first try. Then moved on to other quests that I was going to skip but glad I did them all had a decent element of humour in them. Did the MinoTour and of course no one believes that Kass has already killed the damn beast and killed the thugs at the end. Helped Morys the guy who was going to commit suicide. Last time I talked him down and sent him on his way but this time I agreed to help him lie about defeating the minotaur and stole the armour and axe and sent him on his way home. Did the Minotaur Pre-Trials and beat the heck out of the strong guy, looted the underwater chest and found the kids and didn't buy any of the tokens. Then went with the other dudes to kill The Minotaur but ended up killing them instead and got the true story out of the fake Minotaur and then went and rescued his daughter. Fight was OK a bit hard as I couldn't use Rush Assassinate as The Fake Minotaur (AKA Dad) shouted abuse at the guards but got through them and then rescued the daughter. After that headed off to kill the cultist melitele but ran out of play time. Some Pics Kass dispatches another cultist, shame really kas enjoyed her night time adventures with her Rescued this guy and got him some armour and a wepon so he could lie and say he defeated The Minotaur My Mino-Tour guide Said guide caught out The ferocious Minotaur, FEAR HIS MOO!!!!!

Just finished Chapter 2 of Legacy. Yeah sure bye Natakas, whatever, you're kinda annoying and have creepy eyes and OMG I don't fancy you geez. And bugger off Darius, you've caused nothing but trouble. . . . Well shit.

This has been said a million times before, but that ending just didn't seem right. That's not my Kassandra. Why give me the choice to play her a certain way for 100 hours then whip that away and force me into a schmaltzy situation like that? I almost wish I hadn't bothered with this DLC. If I play again I'll be nice guy Alexios, who would suit this ending, but a game shouldn't give you RPing options some of the time, only to railroad you into uncharacteristic choices later on.
