Yeah, it's definitely a handy move. You could do that in Origins as well. You can whistle to call them over as well, and... yoink! Pretty certain you could do it as far back as AC3 IIRC. Nice... And not surprising. Origins & Odyssey are the only ones I've played.

Stabbing enemies if they're standing near the ledge appeared in AC II. They'll fall over but this maneuver is only possible once the hidden blade is acquired. I can't remember if AC 1 has it but likely not.

So after my little stoppage in Episode 3 it was time to continue...with hardly another issue... at least in terms of flow. Knocked off four quests. Though I died once and almost died again out of sheer cockiness... and it seems there was a bonus objective in the arena I missed this time. I was surprised after doing the arena quest when the Isu guards under what's his face decided to start killing humans and got into a tussle. Since everything else played out the same way I am left to the conclusion that it was because I missed that objective. Also since some of the people were unarmed I killed every Isu guard I could. It was amusing though since they didn't fight back though I think one accidentally slashed me.
The one with the Shroud of Consus provided an interesting dilemma. Since I played through as Alexios I know its possible to actually save them all. And he didn't specifically mention it could save anyone, in fact he seemed quite...resistant to the idea in general. So Kass decided not to give it a second chance. Reasoning she does not trust Isu tech and it just did...that...whereas Alexios figured that they were risking etting their hands caught in the cookie jar so might as well push it.
Followed up doing the final quest and squashing the rebel scum...destroyed their supplies again. Though I have been a bit devil may care when it comes to sneaking through areas this time around and I got caught on the first wave, was quite content using the paralaysis arrows...and then Ikaros that blood thirsty bbird swooped in on one of the knocked out targets and mutilate them.

Well, with the little orichalcum I had saved up, I decided to pick up a new... glowy-eyed... crew. And figured while I had a little time, I'd also pick off the ship o' the week. Oooh all the celestial stuff but especially the crew is my favourite pack: Niiiice. I have a few pieces from the celestial gear set, but not the ship. And that black & silver ship design works really well...

I just wish they'd made the hull paint black, its just a weird dark brown and I wish it was the head piece and not the chest that dictated the glowing eyes. But yeah the sail. crew and figurehead was the one I ran with the most.

Puttered around for a little bit today, just waiting for No Man's Sky: Beyond, which is releasing in a couple o' days. I have a few orichalcum kicking around, so I might have a peek and see what's in the store tomorrow. Not much else to other than get into staring contests with bears until the last LToG drops next month. I need to know how to achieve this rice farmer ninja look The hat is obvious. But where do you get the katana? And is that the default no armor outfit or is it a specific armor piece?
Did some more LToG. "This is a poetry festival. There is no better place for shady trade." I am so recording and playing that line as a phone ringtone if I ever go to a poetry festival
Then two brothers tried to get into Alexios's pants... They are not even Kass's type, let alone his! Big nope and ran as far as I could.
Then an old flame ambushed me into visiting her. Sure, I'll help your son (would have said "no" if I knew I am in for another bloody escort quest). But I don't do farming. Why would I train him as a warrior? Gee, let me see... He hangs around hungry wolves and the whole area you live in is riddled with dangerous animals. Woman, we got attacked by lynx, boar and wolves while just trying to get to the sea for a romantic nap! You can't make 2 steps here without being jumped on by the fauna. Say what now, you don't love me anymore? FINE! Your pixels are not that hot either! I'll just go drown my sorrows with my ship's harem.
In other news - installed and tried Crysis. It runs great on 1440p max settings...until it doesn't... (except I didn't manually tweak the draw distance, which would have murdered the frames further). Although I admit, I finished the game for the first time ever. Previously I only got to the war with the NK soldiers before rage quitting due to the terrible game performance. There were several times when the game dropped to 30 FPS in intense fights like an alien attack shootout after the Core level (ugh, Core level. Looks amazing, but it sucked so much as gameplay feature). My GPU was jumping between 60 and 100 % load for no apparent reason. The game uses only 2 cores, so it really can't take advantage of my 6 cores and gives me a CPU bottleneck even at 4.9 Ghz. Otherwise steady 90+ FPS most of the time. I almost have a PC that can run Crysis

First - the katana. It's called the Blade of Yumminess, and it's a random blacksmith vendor drop. You can save-scum at a blacksmith you haven't already visited today to help your odds. EDIT: Oh, and be warned... it's super-expensive. Like, over 1M. And yeah, just turn off the appearance of your gear to achieve this peak peasant look (and I just pick the simplest bow design to go along with it).

This sword, the sun hat, and two versions of the underwear "armor" (oiled and un-oiled ). Also... good luck!

I almost have a PC that can run Crysis saandrig I have had zero performance problems with Crysis and have bumped it up to the highest settings "Enthusiast" except for one CTD. It usually runs somewhere between 50 and 60 FPS with only the occasional drop to 30 FPS and my CPU never gets higher than 50%. What do you mean by the "CORE" level? I am at the point of entering the "underwater" section but where I usually have problems is back on The Carrier, I sometimes don't complete that because the final fight glitches so much. Haven't been able to play for the past few days or I'd be finished!!!!! Anyway I am posting re Crysis on "the Other games" thread if you want to discuss.

Yeah, you won't see the CPU usage go high because you have 6 cores, but the game uses just 2. So it probably maxes them out in certain areas while the other 4 cores and 12 threads play Solitaire. So you get a report of a sub 50 % CPU usage, but only because just 2 cores work overtime.
And yeah - the Core level is the underwater one. I got lost, moved past some puzzles by accident and at the end somehow got out, but no clue how
Try putting the game at 1440p and you shall see performance drops It's almost 80 % more pixels than 1080p. Not that you will see them on a 1080p monitor, but you will feel the performance hit I tried 4k. It's bloody murder. I don't even want to talk about it.
Back to Odyssey, finally started the 3rd playthrough with a NG+ Kass. I found a quest I never saw on...Kephalonia... I never went back to the god cave after killing the bandits, but this time I did. Answered a poor woman's call and left her some valuables. I think I deserve massive LS points for that (playing my 65298365th rerun of KOTOR too). I tried not to kill anyone...and I noticed that this game is so bloodthirsty in the prologue...Half the quests require you to kill people. Not stun them, not avoid them. Straight up kill or no going forward! I will probably end up killing more enemies in Kephalonia than in my entire run. And because this will be a relaxed, fun run with all kinds of freaky pacifist tactics, I set up my EXP to be at 24x rate I think 25x would be overkill, what do you think?

*begins cussing so hard it comes out as an electronic whirble* So last night was fun. On the one hand this DLC actually got major kudos points from me...there was actually some really interesting, and divergeant, consqeuences to one of the quests that I did last night and given that there really aren't too many of those it was appreciated. On the negative side here I am finally getting through the 'end game' doing the quests for Alton and I was clearing out the Mnessa Fortified Doma...and ran head first into a knowledge 3 barrier between me and the objective. Which sucks because I am trying to wrap this up this week so I can move onto New Vegas. So gonna be hunting down the rest of the knowledge 3 stuff and doing random exploring tonight. I am pretty close so it shouldn't be that much of a setback. So I was going around doing Elpis's quest and I decided, for various reasons, to go and let her go through with the genetic manipulations on herself. Some meta knowledge went into my decision and honestly it might've been OOC...but surprisingly it really worked out...at least for now. For some strange reason it worked! She was now all Isued out and then when Atlas tried to kill me...SHE KILLED HIM. I mean just blasted the hell out of him. I was quite in a pleasent state of shock given what happens the other way.
Don't know the long term ramifications on this and its probably limited in the end and there is always the chance she could go all muhahaha...but it is a testement to how horrible Atlas was that no one really batted an eye and just pretended it didn't happen...wonder what Poseidon will think.

Re your spoiler it took me 3 or 4 attempts to get the change in Elpis. Did you read my post about impacts of decisions when I finished? Spoiler Alert Nothing you do makes any goddam difference in the end and its F#cking infuriating. I replayed 3 or 4 missions to get them how I wanted and I may as well not have bothered. Unimpressed muchly!!!!!

There is no ramification. She never shows up or is mentioned for the rest of the DLC. And it was F3cking infuriating!!!!!!

Meh. About what I figured.
While it would certainly been nice to have more consequences to the choices...say seeing if she herself was corrupted or actually did some good, which could have different philosophical lessons, it's also not necessary. It's more then proper enough that such choices effect what happens in their respective quests, and as long as those are different that is...all that is required.

Mother. Of. God. I take back every bad thing I've said about the Forge. Sure the weapons are meh... but the perks. My goodness the perks. Last night before continuing on I got more adamant so I popped over to the forge and got a hunter configured weapon. Which let's you apply your damage in a range...hunter, warrior, Assassin. I put the hunter perk on my bow even though it cost me 5 crit chance. That and the above video reallllyy makes me want to do a third Playthrough. Like now. Maybe even give hard a try afterall. I'm not going to do it...but its now more then likely I will get a third PT in before the next AC game comes out. I wanna try this shit out. Anyways I did end up finishing Atlantis last night afterall. Its funny how long this DLC seems to take me...but I actually enjoyed the run through it a lot more this time. A lot of things Inoticed that I appreciated more and just seemed...a lot smoother. Nothing really to comment on just that I think for the first time in the PT I had to auto craft the normal arrows. And Kass was just done with everything for the Isu...yet she still had to go and fight through it anyway. So all I have to do now is the last LtOG...well probably going to play the other one when it comes out.

I did just have a bit of a run around and changed one of my engravings to be the Assasin Damage applies to nearby enemies and its hilarious. I let a group of bandits surround me then used Heroic Strike on one and it killed them all!!!!!

So I finished the latest LToG... There are youtubers out there who analyze a scene by putting a scale. One did the tension in the car between Peter Parker and Vulture in Homecoming...for instance. Well being aware of the latest controversy my playthrough was basically that. A heart dialogue choice would appear and I would get a spike. Anais would be all moo moo, I'd get a spike. Despite that it was good. It was a really unique quest line with some interesting choices and who knew you'd have so much fun ordering chicken. As a bonus they were actually doing a good job towing the line. Sure you could interpret it that they were lovers...but they could've just been really good friends. Then that last conversation happened. argh! They were so close it's agonizing. They just fumbled it at the one yard line!
So Anais at the end told Kass that she could not be her partner... which if I were really generous might just mean business partner...but it's pretty clear they meant romantic.
And what's worse is Kass looked sad!
So this is wrong because my Kass: 1. Just went through a bad breakup. 2. Just got lectured at by Alethia how long term connections are a bad idea. 3. Showed zero romantic interest in Anais. 4. Didn't romance a single person really only occasionally flirting with Thelatas, Adonis, and maybe Nakatas.
I wanted an option where I could scream at her for her presumption. Kass is not interested lady. My Kass really wouldn't have been.
At least the quest name Unplanned Parenthood gave me a good laugh.
