I like the Siren’s Song scheme, even before I learned that Myrinne’s ship was called the Siren’s Song. Knowing that made me like it even more since it made that extra connection.

I’ve returned to Odyssey after a prolonged break this weekend, levelling from 17 to 23, doing the storyline and quests around Attica and pursuing the first two parts of the mom-finding. Plus, started on eliminating the cultists branches. Heartbroken over Alkibiades’ storylines being over. He was a funny character, reminded me of Zevran. I am taking it the game is trying to set Kassandra up with some bearded Spartan guy roughly equal in his appeal to Blackwall. Alkibiades = Zevran!!!!!! I assume you have just done the wedding gift quest? Don't despair, whilst I can't remember if you do any more quests for him (unless you have missed some) he at least makes and appearance later.
Brasidas, is that who you mean? Now you mention it he does have a certain Blackwall-ness to him. Unfortunately/fortunately he isn't a romance option, he's more uncle age I think.

So yesterday essentially did Kleon's missions first instead of Perikles. Forgot how long and tedious the one for Kleon is rescuing his messenger and the ships captain. Then just stuffed around clearing "?" and also did the quests for Heitor the blacksmith. Killed some mercenaries and got myself to tier two, it was kind of the two tier two mercenary's to come hunt me at the same castle. Discovered a woman singing in English in Athens, never encountered that before, still couldn't understand what she was saying!!!!! Pic's Bad horse parking part 5 The woman singing in English in Athens Yay tier two Scenery

Oh, thank the gods Brasidias is not a romantic option & I can get Alkibiades back. I finished the Korinthian Arc, and started on Hippocrates. Level 24 now, ad spent some time rearranging my layout. I actually was playing with only 4 abilities up to now, because I did not realize they had a menu swap. With all the hints they display, I wish that one came up often. Thankfully my daughter tipped me off. Anyway, I rearranged my two rows to be AOE stun, break shield, poison and heal Teleport assassination, kick in the gonads, flame weapon and heal. Worked beautifully to clear the fort Tyris or whatever it was called. Once I finish this piece of the story, I will see if I can clear three more cultists to finally get spear to level 5 and start putting the third point into abilities.

jade Don’t worry, they don’t really force any romances (besides best outcomes being licked behind some and making your character seem interested even if you never choose one of the flirt options) on you...until the DLC.

I figured. I think they actually mo-cap the actors for most of these conversations, rather than using software to approximate things. I expected the changes to be unsatisfactory. I may just have Kass ask him to stay. That will be less annoying than watching her cry after parting. Oh no, you need to experience that route. THey mangled it so bad it really needs to be experienced to fully grasp how absolute their failure and betrayal was. I just got around to this today. It was pretty lame. 😖 I've been away a lot and barely playing VGs. I'm finally worn out on Odyssey over 6 mos after release. They'll reel me back in with the remaining DLC and LToG, so I'm not yet finished. I'm duly impressed with how they've kept me engaged for so long. Jorraptor postee a fun "Leak/Speculation" video yesterday. I'll post it in the General AC thread. If even half of it ends up being true, the next game should be a lot of fun. Also, in case it's gone unnoticed, the Sphinx pack mount is on sale in the Oikos for 100 orichalcum. I got it early. It's as weird and useful as expected. I already had the Pegasos, so this one will go into rotation with it when I'm in the mood for a fantasy mount and/or gliding off of cliffs.

Hope I didn't mislead you, you can't get Alkibiades back as a romance option (in the limited sense this game uses the term) but he will make an appearance later. Re the melee bar you are not alone, it took me a while to find it as well as did others. Also if you aren't aware, make sure you have a 2nd weapon in the weapon slot its perks affect your stats even if you aren't using it.

So yesterday didn't get a lot done, just not much time damn RL again getting in the way!!!!! So basically did the three quests for Perikles, killed Snake Man and his snakes, broke into the house and didn't get detected rigging the vote but didn't get any difference in outcome that I noticed, perhaps a change in dialogue that I missed? Then snuck into Phydias's workshop transported him to Seriphos (SP?) and did all the missions there, was mean to the little girl Khloe re her clay friends so she'd get some real ones, helped the woman who wanted to win the beauty competition and marry Aetos, then told the guards the other woman was a witch at the celebration and deliberately just sat back and watched the guards kill her. It all ended happily ever after even though she was bald. I also killed and was almost killed by numerous Boars and damn Lynx!!!! Then sailed back Athens for The Symposium. Stop whinging Phydias and don't puke on my deck!!! The Adrestia looking impressive at Night: Poor Khloe, I hate being mean to her. Burn the witch:

So yesterday was a bit of a frustrating day, Rush Assassination failed to chain several times when I'd got a situation where there were 4 or 5 guys I was going to take down to clear an area. In the Silver mines in southern Attika that meant some running away, especially as a Mercenary just happened to wander by (had no bounty on me) and a wolf and a Lion also joined in. Also on two occasions got spotted in places by guards, one who saw me through a tent and another through a solid wall!!! Anyway, went to the symposium then did all Sokrates and Alkibiades quests in Athens that were available and that led me to the silver mines mentioned above, killing that cultist is one of the more enjoyable ones but I do not in anyway understand why the slave is still not just outside and you can't free him somehow if you just choose to kill the cultist!!!! Best part of the day was a "Red Skull" Merc rode by me and I thought I'd have a go at taking him down. Was hidden and for the 2nd time yesterday RA just wouldn't work on a mercenary. Is there some thing about some merc's that you can't use it? So anyway rode up beside him and hit Crit Assassinate but that didn't do much damage for some reason but hit him with a few Heroic Strikes and got lucky as I was standing in a bush and when he fell over the game made me "hidden" so fired RA and it was all over. It proved a good kill as it jumped me from Tier 2 to Tier S1. Pics Was good to see Phoibe again And Sad to see her again: Good to see Alkibiades and The Goat again: No comment: Some of the missions for these two are tiresome but some are pretty good: The Merc who lifted me two tiers:

I bought the game a few weeks ago but I'm still on the starting area because I'm playing other games, but considering I check this thread every day I decided to play a bit more last night.
I already hate the teleporting bounty hunters. I was just level 4 in level 2 gear when the game started the "tutorial" with the level 5 BH and facing him proved pointless (my dodging skills aren't good enough). He was showing up in every "camp" I cleared, so annoying. That is, until I freed Odessa and then joined her to go back into the bandits camp. The BH teleported right into the camp in the middle of the fight and while I was trying to hide to kill bandits, Odessa's aggroed the BH and killed him. Bouhahaha.

The teleporting Bounty Hunters/ Mercenaries does sound a bit odd. When I was at the lower levels the only Mercenaries that would magically appear to chase me down were at least around my level and tier. Odessa is one of my favorite characters to run into. Well, I like most of them, actually.

A while back I found this... text...? in Elysium. Wasn't sure if it was an easter egg, or something, or nothing... Also - finally made it to the #1 spot. I spent weeks in the #2 spot, pretty much resigned I'd never find that last merc. I keep wishing there was a better way to find higher ranked mercs. It's like having to win the lottery during a lunar eclipse to find that last one.

It was the very first one (Talos the Stone Fist) with the forced bounty tutorial that can be cleared that the game triggers by itself after like 2 short main quests. Going by what I'm reading online, that behavior is apparently "normal" for him...unless you are lucky and never leave his original spot.

That first BH on Kephallonia is pain as his quest (literally) is to hunt you, best to try and get as much XP as quick as you can and get him as soon as you can and get him out of the way. The teleporting happens unfortunately but you experience it less as you go on (IMO) but what you get instead is Mercs. who seem to have a GPS tracker and will randomly wander around or into forts etc near you. Also the higher the bounty you have on you the more likely they will teleport in and/or appear near you waiting for you to do something naughty!!!! What abilities are you using/going to use?

I assume you have figured out the eagle/Ikaros and that you can mark the merc's (and others) so you can see where they will go? A silver path will show on the map so you can avoid them or ambush them.

What abilities are you using/going to use? I'm just level 5 (after Talos dying) and I'm still trying things out. I currently have sparta kick, the predator bow skills (I think that's the name) and the assassination increase damage skill (that also auto-loot). I might restart once I got a better idea of how things works too and what I like. For the record, I did take Talos to less than half-health at some point before he killed me for like the 4th time in a row because I'm not a pro at dodging. Then I just decided to ignore/avoid him until I got to level 5. I just found it hilarious that he showed up in the middle of a fight with bandits that resulted in the NPC I was escorting killing him...while I was hiding.

If you are going to favour Assassin Damage on your armour etc. then Rush Assassination and Heroic Strike are great. Its also good to get the ability that makes assassination bodies disappear. Sparta kick is lots of fun but it can be a pain trying to find the bodies to loot them!!!! With the bow I found Devastating Shot to be easier and better than Predator Shot, I was hopeless at guiding the arrow!!!!! Ghost Arrows are great for stealth/assassin play as you can shoot from walls or through roofs. As you level up your spear it allows you to get tier 3 > abilities and makes them ability do more damage and a good one after you get your spear to L3 is Ring of Chaos as if you are surrounded it knocks everyone away and down. Yeah Talos can be tough and its always great when someone actually helps you rather than piles on!!!!!

So last two days, focused on the family quest line and pursued the lead to Korinth and Anthousa. Besides doing the quests for the two Hetarae did a few story related quests and took down some unlucky Merc's who happened by. Also raided some tombs and gained some loot and ability points. On the Anthousa quests I brought the woman who was leaving on the ship back to Korinth, last time I took her to wherever she wanted to go. Have no idea if there are consequences either way. Anyway as a thing of interest to do I followed her when she got off the ship just to see what she'd do and where she'd go. After 10 minutes I discovered she just wanders aimlessly around Korinth!!!!! Did the quest find the guy running the sex dungeon for the Monger who was blackmailing the politician and who was hurting Demalis (SP?). The more I think about it the more I hate that Phoibe is involved in this stuff, I see no reason why Aspasia would send her to tag along on this other than to set-up the plot stuff later but that surely isn't dependent on what she does in Korinth. Then headed to the Monger's wharehouse and burnt stuff to the ground, was joined by Brasidas and kicked some butt. Agreed with Brasidas plan, told Anthousa and then gave The Monger a spanking. Next off to do the Hippokrates missions. Some pic's Returning the Heterae woman Always enjoy killing this guy Weird ass effect whilst killing him Bad Ass Brasidas

Agreed with Brasidas plan, told Anthousa and then gave The Monger a spanking. Anthousa's plan is objectively better.

So only had a small amount of time yesterday and wasn't feeling great so literally just roamed around opening "?" without necessarily clearing them unless I could do it in one Rush Assassination which was surprisingly quite a few. Also scavenged metal and timber and killed (and was killed) by numerous animals. Lions had it in for me yesterday, came across numerous of them including The Nymean Lion which I killed (and got bonus fun times with Daphnae) but had several instances where I would see a lion and attack it only to have 2 or 3 more then attack me. I am not built for multiple melee attacks so died 3 times to damn Lions, got me in the habit of hitting "F5" frequently. Met this old hag, look forward to meeting her again and killing her: Killed the big pussy cat Got fun times with Daphnae Scenery
