This deserves another chapter of High Flights. So here is vol. 111st: I was invited by docsteely for some MP fun. When he said it's a Turian gip I knew that something extraodrinary is going on. I bumped into Aragorn89 and for the first time in history @thetechnoturian It was a Turianfest at its best. Meleegasms, screaming shields down, Atlaaas! etc. 2nd: Later on inert and XCPTNL joined me and Doc. After some problems in the beginning, we managed to annihilate every single enemy unit in sight. You don't know guys how much I enjoyed this. It's sad that ME 3 MP will probably slowly die out as everyone moves to the new MP. Gotta enjoy those moments when I can. Thank you all for such a fantastic games Those were very good games indeed. Had loads of fun yesterday for sure. Got invited to join up with docsteely, @thetechnoturian, and ex-Clusum for some Turian goodness. First time I ever played with TTT and ex-Clusum and had a blast! Melee fun throughout our games for sure. A lot of the time the game was ignored for a while because.....well Turian fun! Later the Host was switched to doc and was then joined by Sonashii for more Turian goofing off. Thank you for sacrificing yourself for us Sonashii, it was appreciated while we were goofing off and you trying to Hold The Line! Then to end my session we were joined by inert for a quick enjoyable game. Always a pleasure to have inert on board for fun games! Thanks to everyone who made my day a good one! Afterwards my pre-load for Andromeda kicked in so I'm waiting for that to finish. From the look of it, it will take all weekend to finish downloading it. And I don't think ME3MP will go away for a while from what I'm seeing. There are plenty of bugs to be worked out yet it looks like for Andromeda.

Low: Saw Crim on last night so sent her a message. She ignored me and left me to pugs all night.
High: The pugs were actually decent.

High: Yesterday had a lot of very fun Gold games featuring Turians, Smash Bros', Asari; all those games took place in the down-to-earth galaxy that is the Milky Way. The cast was Oscar-worthy: doh , @thetechnoturian , Aragorn89 , Sonashii , inert , SalMasRac , 09_Trooper (a big Thank You All!) High: This morning asked xelander and got an invite (Thank you!) only to have the pleasure to exchange some heavy melees with AW_FC_1986 (A pleasure to meet you!). The game, an UUP, turned out to be Glacier Hazard against Derperus and a lesson for me in why you do not play a Vanguard off-host; by W6 I was out of gels, luckily my teammates (including a friend of either xel or awfc, playing an excellent Krolord) took great care to revive my poor bacon and we managed a full extraction. High: After that game I finally touched base with HamleticTortoise (Thanks for the games and excellent host btw!). We were joined briefly by @thetechnoturian (Thanks again for playing!) for a UUG game which turned out to be London/Derperus (heavy melees, Aatlas! etc). TTT had to leave after that, so we duo-ed White/Geth, a fun game with some unpleasant situations due to staggerfest; after which I managed to convince inert (Great Games, thanks!) and rspanther (Nice to finally play with you, GGs!) and we made short work of Trollectors on Jade, Reapers on Glacier (we were all little robots so the poor rippaz stood no chance ) and Derperus on HGiant (all-asari team, poor Derperus...) Low: That last game reminded me one of my major beefs with MEAMP, no heavy melee: really Biover? Did u have to stoop so low as to remove one of the (guilty) pleasures for old lechers gamers like me: the Asari heavy melee?

High: top scored in Bronze and decided to move to Silver
Low: everyone in Silver is a no-gear-using, under-leveled, match-bailing scrub
10/10 would Silver again
Edit: unlocked the Turian Soldier, so I've got that going for me, which is nice
Edit 2: oops wrong subforum

High: QUADRUPLE TURIAN ALERT feat. docsteely , muahmuah and Sonashii The turians were so intense that shadowplay crashed after I took that second image I keep on having to rebind my melee key from mashing it too hard Edit: TRIPLE TURIAN ALERT good god I almost forgot yesterday morning when docsteely and HamleticTortoise and I did a triple turian game. I had to leave after one but it was still glorious The turian alerts are arriving so fast I can barely keep up! low: it ended

High: After the excellent games that @thetechnoturian (Thanks for playing!) described, the remaining three: ( Me You and Dupree) me, Sonashii (Excellent host as usual, thanks!) and muahmuah (It's always a pleasure, Doc!) joined forces with xelander (Was nice to see you again!) for some more UUP FUN games (yep, with a good team platinum is fun)... After which HamleticTortoise (Happy you could join us!) took the place of Sona (who had to leave) for two more platinum fun games. Low: After all those nice games we continued UUP but with a PUG. The very first one we've got was an AIU/Piranha (not the worst combo I've met) but, unfortunately, a typical scorewhore. Seeing that both Xelander and the Doc were outscoring him, starting w8 he nuked spawns. I have no problem with that on normal waves, but when you nuke a spawn on w10 - pizza delivery, guess what happens? It spawns right in the pizza's way... We managed to clear the way and finish the wave, but the next wave he killed me: I was playing a Drelldept, by extraction was out of gels and he nuked a spawn at the beginning of the wave, with the net result that two Phantoms spawned next to me and killed me. Thank you! High: Got a very important lesson out of this game: I am not good enough to get through the "joys" of pugging platinum using flimsy kits. So the next two games I played a Wraith/GT and a BW/SalInf. We were joined by an 166 N7 VolDept (switched to a Phoenix Adept after), who despite dying a lot, was far more useful than his predecessor...

High: Got a very important lesson out of this game: I am not good enough to get through the "joys" of pugging platinum using flimsy kits. Had to scrape a lot of rust off this time I came back. Been getting in a few games for the past week. Feeling up to snuff with my melee paladin (for the most part) but I took out a Drelldept earlier on; might've top scored but that said nothing about my play so much as the UUP pugs. >.< Tried a Claymore GI though and remembered what "positioning" and RHA was after the fourth time I dropped to the floor without any knowledge of what hit me. I am having a hard time finding a decent plat pug lobby on PC at certain times though. Or even semi-decent... Been readying up if even one other person looks half-competent.

High: Had some excellent UUG games with HamleticTortoise (GGs, Thank you!): most of the games we trio-ed very successfully with Senor Tomate, (all-krogan and all batarian comes to mind) except the last one which we pugged and (oh, joy) we had one good PUG, playing well an ACA/PPR besides your day-to-day AIU/Reegar. Seems that EDI did not teach her successors not to swarm the EZ on w11; you guess what happened. Low: Origin was making fun of us today: I got DC-ed and Senor Cucumber could not join us...

High: Yesterday me, Sinful, Doc and I_Never_Extract got so baked on our Platinum cosplay night out. There were headbutts... Toasters... Funny text dialogue: Me after watching Sinful's Juggy: "What, no heavy-melee you n00b?" Sinful making fun of my no-Flamer GT: "What, no Flamer you scrub?" and Assaris. We're having a meeting over who gets the pizza on that last one. Prime ass hunters were everywhere and I am not taking one for the team! Of course it goes without saying, many thanks for the games you guys! Low: ?

High: had a couple of games with SenorTomate, and on the first we rolled Glacier/Cerberus, which is usually a low, except that this time we were a Slayer, a Shadow, a Fury and a Jugg... probably one of the best teams vs that particular map/enemy combination. We staggered, stabbed, exploded and electrocuted Cerberus in a smooth, fun, quick match Low: after SenorTomate had to leave, the following match featured a revolving door of pugs coming in, dropping, leaving. I was running out of consumables and thought we might fail, except... High: docsteely graciously agreed to join even though we were already at wave 8, and helped finishing the match off (clutching wave 8, since I got picked up by a crab while I was focusing on keeping the EZ free). We then proceeded to kick butts for a couple more matches. I particularly liked the geth/hydra biotic squad - if you drop in my lobby with a dark channel kit, there's good chances I will switch to my novaguard - where I tried to detonate doc shaman's and the ACA's primers as much as I could sorry if it meant flying out of the hack circles on occasions! Last match of the day, and we got the always lovely goddess/cerberus combo wave 10 devices is usually a recipe for lows, except this time... High: last device being done by a player who is slightly in the open, I see an atlas readying its BS staggering missile, my paladin plants his shield and absorbs the hit just as the device is completed. A rare instance where the shield works as the defensive bulwark it was meant to be, made me feel very paladin-y Overall, a great time saving the good old Milky Way, thanks everyone that crossed paths with me!

Thanks for the games, it was a fun way to blow some steam off after a long day at work. About that w8: I was not the only one left on that wave. Plus I was playing far too OP for a gold game: GT/GPS.

High: Decided to take out for a spin a turian I did not play in a long, long time, the Havoc. As I'm trying to complete my 14th AR mastery, I used the CAR, which is not a bad gun on the TSol but not my first choice for any of the rest. I fire up a UUG and I get Goddess/Trollectors. After w3 targets and w6 devices I was out of gels and missiles; I had (almost) resigned myself that I was going to fail... But then the miracle happened and salvation come under the guise of muahmuah (whom I invited earlier) who joined and carried me through to the end (Thanks Doc! Nice save!). Low: Would have loved to play some more with Doc, but had to leave after that game: RL call... High: Got back home and managed to convince HamleticTortoise who was on his way to a well deserved rest to stay for two more UUG games (Thanks, HT! Great games). We got Derperus/Dagger and Geth/HGhost, very relaxing games, lots of fun, quite decent PUGs. For the second game we played as fat turians... High: After HT left, I got the pleasure to see today the other half of the golden duo: xelander (Thanks for the games! Great plays, I especially loved your Claymore/ Phoenixguard!). He fired up some UUP and for the first game we got Derperus on my least favorite map (yep! HDagger). we were joined by an AIU/Reegar (...) and a well intended VolDept. I took the Valkyrie/Wraith for a walk and I think Doc, who first opened my eyes on this incredible character, would have been proud, because I outscored the AIU. Low: The next two games (Thunderdome and Glacier/Derperus), after we were joined by other players replacing the AIU, turned to a total lagfest (not quite RedJohns, but close). I couldn't hear the Banshees at all and you know how pleasant it is to turn around ans see one swiping at you? We wiped on w9 the first game and High: We managed to finish the second game... I don't know what happened as Xelander's host is usually one of the best for me. Probably they're moving servers from ME3 to MeA...

Actually the first game I was a Clarmore Novaguard and the second - a Claymore Drellguard, which is my go-to kit for when something overloads my aggression inhibitors, which Derpshit did on HDagger. I usually play the Phoenixguard with fast cooldown (Paladin, Talon, etc.) and a bonus power Charge. As for the Thunderdome game, we always kept getting new people joining and quitting as a fourth team member and at some point I had severe lag in my own game and no-sound Banshees. After wiping out on that one, I've had enough. I pulled my HK-47 GI Javelin and proceeded to eliminate the organic meatbags with extreme satisfaction on a swift 17 minutes Glacier run.

ME:A highlights
High: Been having a blast playing the ME:A SP. Low: Died a couple of times because the controls from ME3 screwed me over, because where L1 would be aim, and R1 shoot is now on L2 and R2, and R1 and L1 are for the powers.
High: Saw that I could flamer get as an infiltrator and I was like "FUCK YEAH SIGN ME UP" and I'm getting overload for synergy.
Also haven't been posting often lately, my life's been terrible and been on a gloomy mood, until my big bro came and sprung me with the ME:A and PS4 console. And I was just about to move on to another game I had in mind. Also hurray for no more x button does everything.

^^ What Miranda said, except I take Damage&Force on Nova lvl 4 instead of Radius. Reason being that Pyros on Plat need between 575 and 615N to get staggered, and with Radius and Half-blast I can't get over the threshold, and the Novaguard is way too much in the middle of things to give up Half-blast. The rest of the build is pretty self-explanatory. Get radius Charge to stagger groups, get over 1000N Charge to stagger phantrolls, get used to using i-frames from (cancelled-)Novas and get used to the idea that Atlases and Primes will make you curse a lot. This is one of the best tanks and best medics in the game. Oh, and you absolutely need to be able to read the sync-kill behaviour switches if you want to dance on the edge of the abyss, as it were. I usually put Incendiary ammo on, but I might sometimes use Disruptor instead. On that HDagger game I was using AP ammo and therefore exchanged the High Velocity Barrel for a High Caliber Barrel for a little faster cooldown.

It took the whole morning until I had the record of my Turian Soldier build I wanted. What happened to ME3... I tried a game with average looking randoms, which turned out in them leaving without a reason. In the next game a low equipped AIU helped me doing the mission mainly Solo, versus Collectors, it lasted until wave 8. I did two other games, one failed, one was successfull but I died too much (I didn't want to make a video of me dying). Then finally a friendly Geth juggernaut came and helped me out: Its uploading right now. I wish my good old friend Godis returned to have me record one of our many nightly Duos. Often no one joins, or lowbobs join, play two waves and leave, then join two more times over the game. Why would someone do this? Same with "RUS" people, they are usually extremly bad, and often start talking in their hieroglyph language without a break, all in incredibly bad microphone quality. I had this in other games too, I stopped playing Payday 2 completely because of this reason, but these people in ME3 annoy me.

High: Caught up with Sonashii (Thanks! As usual great games) so we decided to try some UUG. I also invited vastator (Thanks for joining! Hope to play with you again) so we decided to leave PUGs out of it and trio-ed. I think it was the first time I/we played with Vastator; he turned out to be a very efficient kind of player so the games were really easy and pleasant. High: After Vastator left, we pugged a little and after we joined forces with xelander (Thanks for playing! Great games as usual) for some serious UUP games. Well serious for us, as xelander managed to have a lot of fun using first the deadliest weapon in the game the Avenger (on full auto) and for the next game he used the Predator, still outscoring us and the pugs we got. All in all, the games were fun and went by fast, as we had decent if not good PUGs. Low: Got another (luckily) short episode of snow that required shoveling today, preventing me from playing some more...
