I hope we don't have Qunari fundamentalists or Tevinter magisters as the villains - that's so predictable. Why not have the supposed good guys such as Ferelden and Divine Victoria as the antagonists? I hope that this War isn´t that simple.
Maybe Bioware can take inspiration from Act 2 of DA 2. Also i really don´t want that the new Arishok (our former Sten) become am one dimensional villain. But i don´t like your idea of making Ferelden and/or the Divine as the Villians.
Sorry but there already enough Parties in this War. The major factions will likely be Tevinter under Archon Radonis, the Qunari under Arishock / Ariqun
and Fog Warriors with a current unknown Leader.

I'm hoping DA4 deals with Tevinter Politics, Qunari Invasion and Solas as three concurrent main quests, much like ACO has family, cult and war main quests.
That way everyone will be happy. 😉

I hope we get a Fenris cameo. Either slaughtering slavers as Varric says, or if Hawke was a dickbag and sold him out to Danarius. He also has a history with the Fog Warriors, so that could be interesting.

He also has a history with the Fog Warriors, so that could be interesting. It would very strange if Fenris woudn´t be in DA 4. Especially Slave Fenris with Danarius is a Must. Because it would be a waste only to have a Frostbite Fenris just for Slave Fenris its very likely that we will Fenris with the Fog Warriors.
Of course this will be nothing major like for example Dorian. Just a cameo (Slave Fenris) or a replacement role like Alistair, Loghain or Stroud in DAI.

Hell, Loghain has two THREE opportunities to die prior to DAI and he can still show up for a lengthy Warden cameo. That said, I don't expect anything that lengthy. I'd just like to run into him as part of a sidequest, like we did with Zevran in DA2. Because it would be a waste only to have a Frostbite Fenris just for Slave Fenris its very likely that we will Fenris with the Fog Warriors. I don't necessarily think it'd be a waste. Even a brief slave Fenris cameo would be really impactful. I don't really see him returning to the Fog Warriors again, seeing as he slaughtered a bunch of them last time (thanks Danarius 😵) but I could see him tearing up some slavers or something. I adore Fenris. Even in my most bastard of playthrough I couldn't sell him out. Same.

I don't necessarily think it'd be a waste. Even a brief slave Fenris cameo would be really impactful. But we all want a good looking Charactermodel for Fenris and not just some random generated Elf Dude with white hair.
And this would be a waste of resoucres if Bioware only use that for short Slave Fenris Cameo.
A lot of time was passed since this Event. Maybe he and the Fog Warriors can forgive him(self).
Another interessing Cameo would be Feynriel. But i heard that Bioware didn´t like him. Particular his Design.

I don't think that they would halfass his appearance, I'm sure he'd get as much love as the Frostbite versions of Morrigan and Leliana. Though.... speaking of Fenris in Frostbite....

Hmm, thinking of Fenris and the DAO romances(except Zevran) showing up two games later in DAI, I wonder which if any of the other DA2 LIs would show up in DA4. Anders: Probably not show up Fenris: Being discussed above Isabela: Maybe help get to Seheron(she's already working with the Inquisition anyway) Merrill: Help with the ancient elf stuff Sebastian: Probably not show up

Well if they stick to their policy that potentially dead characters will not be returning then Isabela is likely to be the only one who could potentially play a significant part in the next story as she was plot armoured to such an extent that even the Arishok couldn't keep her under lock and key. Then of course she popped up again in both the comic series and DAI multi-player.
I wouldn't mind seeing small cameos from the others if they survived, although I feel only Anders or Fenris would have any reason to be in Tevinter. Varric said that Merrill was helping the elves in Kirkwall and Sebastian is now ruling Starkhaven.
A side quest stopping a slaver operation would definitely be the most suitable for Fenris, considering that is what Varric said he was doing. It would be easy enough to substitute a generic ex-slave to assist in his place if Fenris was not present in someone's world state.
Anders would be more of a problem because his unique condition with Justice would make it difficult to have a quest involving him where you could substitute a generic character instead. However, I do feel that Anders is someone where I would like a bit more information about what he is doing if you spared him, particularly if he is not in a relationship with Hawke. It was actually quite peculiar that we never encountered him in DAI with one of the rebel factions considering how prominent he was in the Mage Underground in Kirkwall and his possible links with the Resolutionists, who also disappeared without trace subsequent to DA2. (I assumed that actually the name was a cover for Venatori agents causing unrest in the Circles but I would have liked for it to have been confirmed by the writers). Anders main objection to the gift of the Tevinter amulet was that it might get him into trouble with the authorities, not that it was the symbol of a magic abusing empire, so I could easily see him having fled in that direction to escape the authorities in the south.

On the contrary, I want a game solely about the Qun (or at least central focus is the Qun), and Qunari being the only race you can pick. Then you have to pick a side at start and your origin, tal-Vashoth or being part of the Qun. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

I don´t want any forced Cameos just for the sake of having it.
From all of DA 2 Characters i would prefer that only Anders, Danarius, Fenris, Feynriel, Tallis and Varania will show up in DA 4.

Personally I'd prefer not to have shoved in cameos for anyone. Either give them dedicated roles in the game as advisors, companions, or important npcs for one of the game's arcs or limit our news of them to rumors (like Shale in DA2). Seeing every single previous companion again makes Dragon Age seem smaller as a world.
As for plot, I mainly want Solas to be in as small a role as possible since he's boring to me, but I realize that's unlikely.

For example i don´t think that Slave Fenris plus Danarius can possible get important roles in DA 4
but they would be a nice personal nod to DA 2. On the other hand a Aveline Cameo would be very strange. She has no reason to be in Tevinter.

Especially since I have assumed that the ritual that enslaved (and enhanced) Fenris, came by way of the Evanuris "slave" markings. Meaning, "acquired" Elvhenan magic. Hrmmmm....?

I mean, personally, I agree with your sentiments towards Danarius, but I think it might set the stage for the kind of people his peers are in the game even better if any mention of his passing were mentioned with reverence for "Dear old Danarius" or some such.

plus he’s bitter about having to talk to Orlesians. I found it odd that PW made Teagan the Ferelden Ambassador to Orlais in Masked Empire because he never struck me as someone who would make a good diplomat. It made it seem that there was a lot of nepotism going on what with Eamon being official advisor to Alistair (who is king in the book/comic canon world state). It was as though it was felt necessary to use someone familiar to game players. Then he was the official ambassador of Ferelden to the Exalted Council and a pretty ungracious one at that. Of course he also popped up DA2 with Alistair (this one made sense) and in Mark of the Assassin. It was like Teagan was the go to character to use for the token Ferelden.

I really despise this alternative Version of Teagan.
The Grey Warden Stuff was very bad especially if you saved everyone in Redcliffe and also if the Hero became Queen/Prince.
I get the impression that a complete new Author wrote this Teagan. Teagan had charm in Origins and DA 2.
Some folks back in the day even wanted him as Romance. But the Trespasser Teagan is basically just Chancellor Roderick without the redeeming part.
Like you said Bioware wanted for both Ambassadors familiar faces. Cyril de Montfort works (but i wish he wore this stupid mask) but Teagan is way to aggressive. I understand his position but he always acted like a prick.
A new character would have been better.

I wonder if that isn't in character for Teagan though. Isn't he the one who stirred up all the nobles against Loghain in Origins? Could be he's always had a problem with authority figures/politicians of any sort.
