Is the bug of being stuck in the fade after creating character (on PC) still unpatched? It has been time since I played PC version, but that one was pretty annoying. I think that now only occurs if you've added the cutscene FPS 'fix' to your shortcut path. Is it on by default? Cause I didn't use any fixes myself.

No, it's something you have to set up yourself, but I haven't heard of it affecting anyone else for ages, so I think it was probably fixed in an early patch and now only affects those who change things so the patch can't apply correctly. Mind you, that's the only time the cutscene FPS fix seems to break anything.

I must admit I haven't used it in a while as I always forget to undo it before creating a new character. I then spend time getting a face right, get caught in the Frostback Fade, have to quit and am unable to recreate what I've just done. The very marginal increase in graphic fidelity just isn't worth the hassle anymore.

Just a new bug for the first time. Wanted to get the Ballad of Lord Woolsley quest from One-Eyed Jimmy. Can't get it, cause I can't talk to Jimmy. At all. I have no idea what might be the cause of this. The only thing I didn't do yet, which I normally always do, is talk to Connor at the pier. I'm at Haven atm, will check later if the bug resolved itself or if I'm still unable to talk to him.

This thread, and the Documentation Guide, are great resources. I really appreciate having them. My thanks to PapaCharlie9 and all who have contributed to them. I only played the game once to completion after release, and then left it for a long time. These threads make life much easier for someone looking to learn how the game actually runs, as opposed to how the in-game screens claim it runs. Reading through this thread in advance informed my two recent playthroughs, and no doubt improved my enjoyment of the game.

This was me trying to fix a bug in Multiplayer, but I think it goes for SP as well. PapaCharlie9 you remember the no UI bug I once had after exiting an Ocularum? I got the same bug in MP the other day no UI, no mini map, no mission text on the upper right corner, my mouse didn't work either Yesterday I got it again after loading into a game and tried to use the console command to fix it, but nothing happened. So while you're able to disable/enable the UI by yourself whenever you want, it doesn't work if it bugs out in the first place.

Re fade step not triggering a cooldown: if this is just flashpoint taking effect then the frost step upgrade isn't necessary. If any attack scores a crit then the next spell (in this case, fade step) doesn't trigger a cooldown. That next spell doesn't have to do damage. From the flashpoint description:
"After you land a critical hit, your next spell doesn't trigger a cooldown period."
Unless someone is getting the double cast without flashpoint, it's probably not a bug.
Also, I've had this weird glitch a couple of times where an NPC has started an in-game conversation with me (ie not a cutscene) and I haven't been able to select any conversation options. However, if I bring up the radial menu then instead of being able to use that menu I can participate in the conversation like normal, as if the menu is just a non-interactive overlay. Really odd.
I think it has occurred when I've tried to interact with something or pick up loot right as the conversation starts. I'm on PC using a PS3 controller.
Also had a couple of minor graphics glitches, like my Inquisitor stuck airwalking in a conversation if he was in the middle of jumping at the time it started, or bits of Skyhold not being visible. Nothing gamebreaking as yet.

Is flank attack + skirmisher still bugged? It feels that way. Would this break an assassin or tempest build? What should I take in its place? If you have the Clinging Shadows upgrade to Stealth enabled and you start a Flank Attack with Skirmisher while you are still in Stealth, you will not continue to be in Stealth after the attack. This is because the timer for leaving Stealth imposted by Clinging Shadows is treated as more important that the Skirmisher effect. Simple solution is to not start Flank Attack while in Stealth, or, switch to the other upgrade to Stealth, Lost in the Shadows. You don't have to completely change your build.

Already found the thread arguing the best build for rogue and drooling all over it (I beat the game few months after release as a KE but never really came back. Here's an error I'm having that's keeping me from progessing. When I try to destroy the Qunari structures, I have one that won't blow up. It's right before heading up a ladder to another structure. Destroyed 3 out of 4 but the one won't explode.
