So close to killing Medusa And ran out of ARROWS Blargh I found I had to use a combination of arrows when in cover from the gaze and then when she has that break after the paralysing ray run in and hit her with an overpower or Heroic Strike and run away again. I ended up going to get more wood. Came back and got that Snake Lady.
Kinda sad. A race of Aliens left behind things that would torture people for centuries.
And the "someone in the future will remember us" is pretty apt considering

Any person I'm supposed to "protect" has a 9 out of 10 chance of being a goner before it's all over. When I realized the perks of rising in the mercenary ranks, that became one of my main goals. I was really impressed with "minotaur" man and his antics. That island was one of my favorites because it was so funny. And remember...trust no one!

Oh.
Okay, I guess I'm going to ask for help. I have no idea what I'm supposed to have been doing since I regained my half brother, Deimos. Even Kass gets asked by her family what she's going to do next and she just cheekily looks into the sea wind and pretty much answers "whatever we feel like."
I feel like that the family arc was my favorite story arc, but it ended abruptly. I thought the family arc wouldn't be complete until you'd killed all the Cultists, or at least the leader of the Cultists. But now he's on my boat with mom. Mom wanted me to move heaven and earth to get a house back in Sparta and now we are living as pirates on the sea.
Nicolaus actually makes sorta sense for being on the boat. He deserted- probably only out of respect to all he'd done, he was not executed on the spot. I mean, sadly, they just ignore the ramifications of his return and what it means for him socially. So I'm having to fill in the gap.
As "cool" as it is for Stentor to be on the boat, he has even LESS reason to be on the boat. He was so angry at Nicolaus being gone because either I murdered Nicolaus OR Nicolaus had deserted. And the man he knew as father could never do the latter so of course I'm a murderer-- this entire emotion is dropped and forgotten. And apparently Stentor leaves the army to be as a pirate too.
Ya, I could just not let them on my boat. But the fact that they can be is dumb. The fact that the writers- what...got bored? of writing this arc? I have no clue? I am so confused. Anyway. So that arc is, I guess, done regardless of how it was done.
There are all these cultists left, but outside a total of, what, 3 cultists out of over 30? have had ANY narrative cinematic anything? this drives me NUTS. I'm supposed to HATE these people. But they may as well be the mercs with a layer of cheap vengeance incentive on top. COME ON.
I finished the people in the Arena. Scoura, the grumpy guy outside the arena, says he's been inspired to go home and see his daughter. aw. But don't worry, he's lined someone up for me; a real challenge! he says, and wishes me luck before he walks away.----to literally have his replacement walking up at the same time. And I click on him and he is a No Back Story NPC with the same fights, only higher level.
W.T.F. So I leave there in disgust. Hunt Cultists with no backstory and a poorly followable clue system. And why. Why. Kass is essentially professed to be happy to have her mother, half brothers, and two Spartan deserters at her side on the high seas.
I've turned in the Medusa and Spynx Macguffins at the Atlantis Site. Bio Prick has nothing new to say. There is absolutely no impending sense of doom- and how can there be? Kass is like 20-30, so obviously there was never like... a clock ticking on this issue in the first place.
One of the side missions that isn't even set up as a Main mission sounds like the trailers I saw. Some rebellion needs help. But it's not even presented as a Thing I've Gotta Do. Is there where the story is hiding?
*flails around* this is the Hinterlands all over again. Where is the story hiding? Help!

Is there where the story is hiding? *flails around* this is the Hinterlands all over again. Where is the story hiding? Help! In short cause I am short of time atm, the game does a poor job of managing the narrative of the three main elements of the plot/story. Essentially (these is my thoughts), it is best to kill all the cultists up to Kleon or until the Ghost is the last one and then complete the family arc, then as the very end part complete The Atlantis arc all in a row. I left off doing the family quest till I had reached almost level 50 I think, then hit the cultists that were left and then completed the family side of things and then Atlantis stuff. Re the family being on the ship it is just a cosmetic/fun thing to have at the end of the game. I loved the small chat on the boat with Deimos and I love sailing around with them all on deck (not Stentor ) and especially watching them board other ships, etc. Its just meant to be a bit of fun, not make sense.

dazk so what I'm hearing is that...the story is done...except for the search for the Macguffins. Where did the legit romance rebellion go from the trailers? The family part is yes, except if you haven't already found your real/biological dad. If you have then yes there is only the future story to conclude by returning the artifacts you get from the minotaur, Sphynx and Medussa to Atlantis and of course the cultist story if you haven't found the Ghost yet and resolved that ending. Hey Phoray where are you at level wise and have you completed all the black and gold quests on the map yet? I am not sure what you mean by the legit romance rebellion thing?

you at level wise and have you completed all the black and gold quests on the map yet? Level 51. I have not completed all the black and gold quests. I've done the Sphynx and Medussa and returned them to Atlantus, got the other two Macguffins left to do. I haven't found the Ghost yet. The clues aren't great, I've actually killed two Cultists without knowing who they were. One was an accident, the other I just ran my horse to every single question mark looking for Cultists because I couldn't find what the hell the clue was on about. "Scavenger Cove" In the trailers there is a rebellion and you get to choose which side to support between two On again Off Again Lovers. And apparently that was a romance that approached Bioware level romance, unlike all these casual sex encounters. Sadly, I thought this rebellion was actually what the game was about. :/ Guess I'm dumb.

Sadly, I thought this rebellion was actually what the game was about. :/ Guess I'm dumb. It is all very confusing...not clear at all. Maybe the romance thing was the "Kyra" quest line. Which is one of the most confusing quest lines ever. No way you can even come close to getting it "right" without a walkthrough and even then it's not really satisfactory at all. Some of the cultists just sit out in the open and are so easy to kill. It didn't seem like they were "very important" people. On the Alexios' ship, he vomited once when it was really, really stormy and Barnabas was talking about how sunny it was, with blue skies and seas. Then he lets Kass join his crew and she says she'll kill anyone who vomits on her.

And apparently that was a romance that approached Bioware level romance, unlike all these casual sex encounters. Sadly, I thought this rebellion was actually what the game was about. :/ Guess I'm dumb. You need to do all Alkibiades and Sokrates B&G quests, they aren't all in Athens to find at least one cultist. You can only get him to appear as part of one of their quests. The other B&G quests are nearly all story related or help expose cultists (I think) except the ones you do for the Spartan General Lysander and the Athenian General Demo something. You should prioritise the B&G ones. There is a big lead up (lots of sub quests) to the Minotaur quest and it starts in Messara there is a B&G quest at a place called Knossos Palace ruins or something like that with a kid called Ardos who wants you to find his dad in the Labrynth. There are two more in depth romances that I can think of but they are nowhere near Bioware in depth. One is a choice between Kyra and Telemakas (I think that's his name) and the other is the one you can have with Roxana. The Roxana one has a 2nd sleeping with fade to black scene at a particular moment and if you have recruited her to your ship. The whole rebellion thing is a bit misleading. You can choose to rebel against being born Spartan and fight against them but the whole Sparta/Athens thing is really just a background for the game. Nothing you do will actually influence the outcome of that.
